Pace & Speed angles

Having recently visited Florida and Tampa Bay Downs I was amazed by the sectional timings and the impact that this has on form study. This has led me to do some further reading upon returning home. A brilliant day out in the sun I'd like to look more into pace and speed for the coming flat season and wondered if any members had any views on decent reads to assist in this area. I'd like to calculate my own speed ratings but I simply dont have the time to do this. Other than Top Speed are there any other recomended ratings? Thoughts on where to look welcomed

Re: Pace & Speed angles Lawrence Taylor on the ATR site supplies limited free speed figures... Good Luck with it - they will supply excellent pointers but won't be as effective as US Racing as not all the races here are run at a true pace. Not to say that speed figures aren't a massive aid though.
