3.30 LING: avonvalley 80 blueberry fizz 80 dorothys dancing 77 tight race this one and a bit more open than it first seems due to the fact that all the speed horses are drawn wide (11 and 12 ) .over this 6f thats a big disadvantage ....but not impossible as blueberry fizz has gone close from stall 12 in the past .avonvalley has been running well of late and competes off the same mark so chances and bluberry fizz has run 80.7 on both his last 2 runs both here and at kempton and gets to run off same mark when you factor in his claimers allowance so another with good chances .dorothys dancing is dangerous but may not appreciate a fast run 6f as looked a bit tired over 5f last time in a fast race so opposable .tempted to back bluberry fizz e.w but both he and avonvalley are 13/2 and with the draw playing a key roll this race will go to the one that starts the better so 1pt wins on both avonvalley 1pt win 13/2 generally blueberry fizz 1pt win 13/2 generally

Re: FLAT RACING WEDS 28TH MARCH 810 Kempton - Majuro - 20/1 - Ladbrokes Backed this one 2 runs ago when he was reigned in by the jockey who barely touched the horse all the way round. Am sure he maintains the ability to be competitive off this mark and has the draw to lead today - posting this quick with crap write up as last of 20/1 is about to dissappear and you should be able to lay your bet off in running... If the money is anything to go by, the horse will be given it's head today. Has stuffed 75 on speed on a few occasions - money may be a result of people anticipating how the race might be run and on his comeback run in January over 10f he led a very good field a merry dance to 7f and beyond. Is the reason that I haven't steamed into Ducal and it's a competitive affair.

Bollox - sorry - gone whilst typing - still potentially a good bet to lay off in running at 14s still available with Bet 365 and Ladbrokes.

Re: FLAT RACING WEDS 28TH MARCH 520 Lingfield – Spin Again – 7/4, Fred, Hills Beat a good field for the level last time out over CD with Diplomatic and Lady Mango amongst others beaten soundly by a minimum of 4l. Overcame a wide draw and was forced to run 3 deep for the whole race. Richard Kingscote only had to deliver 2 cracks of the whip and this one ran right to the line, scoring with the minimum of fuss for his new stable. Turned out under a penalty, the opposition doesn’t appear to be up to much and I’ll be surprised if there isn’t money for this one today(Wednesday). Has been rated as high as 74 and so must have a chance off 66 having won off 72(turf) and 65 before.

Re: FLAT RACING WEDS 28TH MARCH « 3:30 » Lingfield (AW) WED 28 MAR 2012 COOK, CREATE, INSPIRE HANDICAP (CLASS 6) (4yo+ 0-60) Winner £1,704 Standard 6f Number of runners: 12 DOROTHY'S DANCING 2pts to win @ 9/2 bog (Betvictor, Boylesports) Dorothy's Dancing is a 4yo daughter of Acclamation trained by Gary Moore. After 3 pretty poor efforts as a 2yo this filly started a very consistent career in 2011 and in the last 12 months she has won 3 races in 10 starts on the AW, the first two here at Lingfield over 5f (both in March 2011) and the last one 4 weeks ago at Kempton over 6f. After her win at Kempton she raced one more time and finished second here at Lingfield over 5f when odds-on favourite even if upped 4lb after her previous win. Last time out the filly pulled very hard and when asked to get after Slatey Hen (the winner) never performed as expected unable to quicken in the final furlong. The Stewards had to call Gary Moore who couldn't give any explanation about his filly's bad performance (Slatey Hen was soundly beaten the time before at Kempton). I don't know why she pulled so hard but I rate her as a good quality filly who has still improvements in her and doesn't need just everything to fall on her side to win as her last win was a really good one. At Kempton she beat Amazing Win who won next time out 4 days later over the same C&D and went really close in her following out upped in class and weight (6lb higher) again over 6f at Kempton. As written above Slatey Hen was a distant third and won next time out and Kipchak (distant 6th that day) won twice in a row (last off 4lb higher) in his next two starts (upped in trip (1m) and moved to Lingfield). Avonlini was 4th that day and confirmed that placement off a 2lb lower mark in her next start at Wolverhampton in a race won by today's favourite Sabys Gem. A line that puts both horses very close. Sabys Gem won last time out his first ever race sureyl helped by first-time blinkers (retained for today's race). Anyway he's up 4lb for that success and faces a slightly tougher test here and has never raced at Lingfield before. The Michael Wigham-trained 4yo is surely very lightly raced and open to further improvements and Shane Kelly is retained for the ride (won with him lto) and that's a big plus for sure (Kelly rode 2 winners yesterday and 5 in the last 11 days on the AW tracks). But as far as concerned the jockey also my selection retains the jockey who was on her for her last two efforts and George Baker is a top class jockey imho who has collected 3 wins with his last 9 rides over the last 8 days (winning the Winter Derby on Premio Loco 4 days ago here at Lingfield). Among the other runners there are surely a lot of horses standing a solid chance here but none of them inspires more than Dorothy's Dancing. True Satire has a lot to prove after a 109-day break and even if she had 3 good efforts last autumn and is trained by Jane Chapple-Hyam it's difficult to rate her for this handicap debut over this shorter trip (raced only over 7f) with a bad draw (stall nr. 10). Blueberry Fizz has been racing very well all this season where she collected 5 seconds and 3 thirds before finally breaking her maiden status with a win last time out at Kempton over today's trip of 6f. That's been a nice win (as well as her previous close second over this C&D behind Lady Mango the time before) and even if the 6lb penalty looks harsh the booking of the talented apprentice jockey Darren Egan who takes 7lb off is a big help (last time out she had a 3lb claimer on so she's actually only 2lb worse today). A negative is the stall number 12 that is not an easy task for sure even if she had the same draw when second behind Lady Mango over this C&D 25 days ago. She should go close again and at 8/1 is not a bad option but I see more improvements in my selection. Avonvalley, together with Tamino, is the only C&D winner (that was a poor selling stakes with just 8 runners almost 2 years ago) but also the Grayson-trained 5yo mare has got a bad draw (11) and even if racing still well (second lto) she rarely wins (1 success in her last 19 starts) and would need a bit of luck to win this race. Luisa Tetrazzini could be a danger from stall number 1 back from 225-day break as she changed hands (from Attwater to Clement and previously with Ryan, Bourton and Guest) and could have been aimed at this race (decent support in the market so far) but she was a slow starter usually and in 16 starts has collected just 5 thirds so it's very hard to fancy a long-standing 6yo mare still maiden on her comeback after such a long break even if Clement could have found the key to improve her after her 4 previous trainers failed. Royal Envoy won twice in his last 4 starts and was close second last time out. All those efforts came at Kempton over 6f but in his previous 5 outs here at Lingfield he didn't like this track (only once third but over 1m) and both wins came either with first-time blinkers or first-time cheekpieces and today's he's running without any headgear. The last danger is Flaxen Lake. The Milton Bradley-trained 5yo has won twice in 28 starts and his last win came off 1lb higher with Luke Morris on board (last summer at Bath over 6f). Never raced on this course but stall number 2, Luke Morris on board and some little promises in his last two starts could give him a chance here. So there is of course a lot of horses to be worried about but at current prices I'm happy to give a chance to Dorothy's Dancing in this race.

Re: FLAT RACING WEDS 28TH MARCH 5.00 Lingfield Like all todays racing small field which wouldnt be sure to suit my selection but I am hoping that a few of these set it up for him. There has been plenty of money for Befortyfour who is potentially thrown in on 3yr old handicap form but came back from a long break last year and showed a couple of pieces of form but little of note and would really need to show more coming back from a break for a new yard. Court Applause finally got off the mark last time out at Wolves in a reasonable race for the grade but he can be the holder of his own outcome often race far too keen for his own good and with a 4lb rise against some slightly more potent finishers he may just find this tougher. Nine Before Ten and Billy Red should both tow these along at a decent pace, Billy Red is very well treated on best form but has struggled in recent times and unlikely to get a soft lead. With the small field and likely good gallop it could suit Estonia who is a 3 time CD winner. She ran well in a race not exactly run to suit last time out finishing well and although she remains 7lb above last winning mark with a field lacking much depth she may find the gaps appear in a small field to finish with some affect turning in. 2pt win Estonia 10/3 corals 5.40 Kempton Wreningham has found his form again with his new yard but appears to be several lb's better on the fibresand surface which is no coincidence given he is better on soft ground on turf so wouldnt be an obvious one back on this fast surface. Athwaab has a good record around here but hasnt been in much form recently despite 2lb lower than last winning mark. Its interesting Invigilator is dropped back to 5f having shaped as if not quite staying the 6f last time out but that was an improved effort so if this step back to 5f doesnt backfire he could be of interest. Sherjawy has returned to form recently, he is a 5 time CD winner and is on a 9lb lower mark than last winning and although that was a long time ago yard are in much better form recently and should get a strongly run race here. 2pt win Sherjawy 4/1 hills

Re: FLAT RACING WEDS 28TH MARCH 17.25 Leopardstown: 1pt win Light Heavy @ 17/2 VC Light Heavy's price is drifting but is now in region where I find it really tempting. This very lightly raced Bolger colt looks very talented and holds various classic entries. He made a late debut at Navan last year in October and showed some good attitude, finishing second to AOB's promising colt Frontier who had the advantage of experience on his side, though Light Heavy finished only a neck beaten, fought back in the final 1/2 furlong over inadequate 7 furlongs. He will benefit from that experience and the step up in trip will help no doubt. He will be best seen over further however. But the fact that he achieved a Top Speed rating of 84 over an inadequate trip first time out suggest thar he has plenty of ability and I expect him also competitive over 1 mile. Jim Bolger has his string in good form at this early stage of the season and I wouldn't be surprised if Light Heavy is more than fit enough to run a fine race today. Therefore I'm happy to take on the odds-on favourite Furner's Green, who is a talented horse indeed, but I don't see him that clear ahead of the field actually. 18.55 Leopardstown: 2pts win Robin Hood @ 4/1 VC Far from a strong handicap with question marks for many of these. The same applies for my selection without a doubt. He comes back from a very long lay-off, raced in the Group 2 Beresford Stakes at Curragh in September 2010 for the last time. It's an obvious concern if a horse is for such a long time off the track, though he should be still the class act in this field. He won a solid maiden in June 2010 and stepped up into pattern company after that, but was probably not completely up to the standard over a mile there, though he finished a creditable third to Casamento in the Beresford Stakes. He's still very lightly raced for a four year old and steps up in trip for the first time to 10 furlongs what should definitely suit and bring out some improvement. Main question is of course if he's fit for the race. You never quite know what you get at this stage of the season from the O'Brien horses. AOB didn't have a good start at the Curragh, though it's interesting that Robin Hood is blinkered for the first time. Step up in trip plus blinkers and the fact that it does not need much to win this race are points enough to give Robin Hood a go here.

With you on this one Richard - Good Luck - intersting stats from ATR and Hugh Taylor today; At Kempton tonight (8.10) Haamat is likely to be a warm order given her connections, pedigree and style of her recent win. She could still be a long way ahead of her mark, but she has a tricky draw – more than half the handicap winners over course and distance since November (20 out of 39 races) have been won by horses from the bottom four stalls from just 35% of the total runners, whereas horses from double-figure stalls have a record of just 3 wins from 98 runs since November, with 33 of the 98 starting at single-figure odds. Little afriad of Majuro, particualrly given the money for it but have covered myself on that one. They have defiantly been piss-arsing about with it.

was almost tempted to go for dual forecast but odds too cramped and risk not worth what would only be around 7-8 points (0.5 forecast ) ......seen this scenario so many times over the last few weeks where a well hcapped(slow) horse takes on a very fast one ...at the moment its about 70/30 in favour of the speed horses but 3 out of 10 do win (gulp !) ....lol ....looking forward to the racing today .....wouldnt be surprised if got my arse kicked as very competitive racing today .....looking forward to seeing how bookiesindexdotnet runs in the sprint tonight as on paper he should win easily .....good luck with your selections today ...and lets hope the fav isnt any good!!!!:)

Re: FLAT RACING WEDS 28TH MARCH « 5:30 Lingfield (AW) WED 28 MAR 2012 HARRISON HANDICAP (CLASS 6) (4yo+ 0-60) Winner £1,704 ATR Standard 7f Number of runners: 11 SPIN AGAIN 4pts to win @ 11/8 bog (Bet365) Two non-runner so just 9 left for the last race of the afternoon at Lingfield Park. I'm with the favourite here. Spin Again came back to life with an eyecatching performance last time out bolting up a good field to win by 4L ahead of the strong favourite of that race Diplomatic. Diplomatic had won his previous two runs and in that field there were at least 4 more runners who had won either in their previous start or in the second last. That perfomance gives a good start to Kubler's career as the trainer had saddled just one more runner before that day (none since). Spin Again had a terrible last year (just once hit the frame when close 3rd to Lastkingofscotland over 7f at Wolverhampton in Janaury) but in the past was a decent horse who has won 5 times (4 in 25 starts on AW and his sole win on turf came here at Lingfield always over 7f). His previous win came over today's C&D one year ago off 65 and so today's mark of 66 looks within his limit even on his old form when still trained by Wellings and the handicapper reacted with a 9lb rise to his last win so today's 6lb penalty (from 60 to 66) puts him still well in this race 3lb ahead of the handicapper. Crocodile Bay won twice over C&D between the end of January and the start of February but was very disappointing in his last three starts, second last over C&D. He welcomes back the 5lb claimer Charles Eddery on board (who was his jockey on his last win) and his mark drops back to his last winning one (52) and his trainer puts cheekpieces on again (off last time out) but still he looks not a big danger if Spin Again can reproduce that form. The only other runner able to win over 7f is Fault who showed something better last time out and has a perfect draw in stall number 1. He's racing off a career low mark of 51 (52 lto) and if still able to reproduce something close to that form of September 2010 (his sole win that was over C&D as written above) he could be a big danger. Less dangerous imho Chandrayaan who won only once in 24 starts and that win was in a 6f AW handicap in September 2009. His performances have been mainly pretty poor since that win but has been improving a bit thanks to his sliding mark in the last couple of months and was placed in 7f handicaps last twice. Still a lot to prove to rate him a big danger for Spin Again. Nothing special about the other runners so I'm with a confident bet on the favourite here.

What are John Balding and Richard Guest up to today i wonder? All 3 of Baldings runners' date=' all previous with Guest, have been heavily gambled today.[/quote'] Just seen this. I've backed both Alpha Tauri and Catalyse before myself. The former I really can't see winning at Kempton. Although it's a pretty weak race, he's useless on polytrack and will have to be almost at his best to win. His sire has a really good record at Southwell (from limited runners) and I don't really see why they don't run him there. Catalyse was well-backed a few starts ago when I was on him (33/1 into 15/2) and he doesn't find much off the bridle. Trip is probably about right for him and he'd be the strongest IMO of the one's that have been gambled on. He is pretty short now though. Can guess that there's plenty of multiples with the horses included, Willie McKay is known to like a punt :ok

Re: FLAT RACING WEDS 28TH MARCH Didnt even realise Alpha Tauri was running, i was talking about Catalyse, Befortyfour and Majuro, they're obviously up to something. Couldnt have much confidence in Majuro the 8.10, very competitive race and i've left it alone. Befortyfour is interesting in the 5.00, could be very well handicapped, they've taken out Rylee Mooch who could have took him on for the lead.

Re: FLAT RACING WEDS 28TH MARCH Absolutely comical. Obviously the 17:00 will be run in a similar fashion, with Nine Before Ten going off at a furious pace and hopefully (for connections at least) setting it up for Befortyfour.

Samba Night 4.30 Lingfield. 1 point win. Recent form needs improving upon, but now with James Eustace and the change of scenery can do no harm. I get the feeling he can bounce back today and with knowing he's been working well enough coming into this, he should go well. Trip and surface not a concern. 4/1 Bet365 (bog)

Yeah! This horse has a great attitude. He really wants to win. He showed that fto and he showed it again today. Nice win! And as I said already: This horse looks really talented, though one mile is at the highest level definitely too short. But can become a very good horse over further.
