Re: FLAT RACING WEDS 7TH MARCH 4.40 Lingfield Reasonable looking handicap for the grade. This should be run at an honest pace with several of these known to make the running or to be up with it and there is perhaps only 2 out and out hold up horses so this could be tee'd up for them. Prince Of Sorrento appeared to take a step back in the right direction when 3rd last time out when ridden more positively than is normally the case and he fared best of those up with the pace by a long way, drop back in trip could be the possible answer but unlikely to get a soft lead which will make it hard around here. July Days was a comfortably winner on penultimate start but was well below that form next time out and appeared to find a 4lb rise too much and perhaps back to his unreliable ways. Anjomorba has started to look well treated and yard appear in form at the moment, but himself hasnt exactly looked likely to cash in on reduced mark recently and yet to win over this trip. On face value Sottovoce should have the beating of Buxton he only failed by a short head to reel him in last time out and a 6lb penalty should turn that around but he would be no sure thing to back that effort up given his overal profile and serious lack of a win to date! Buxton had dropped to a career low mark to win last time out and benefited from the way the race was run should be a similar story today and although 6lb penalty makes things tougher but still well treatedon his best form and could well follow up today. 2pt win Buxton 9/2 lads 6.00 Kempton True To Form is worth some interest here if coping with 2 quick runs, there was a lot to like about his race on Saturday in a fiercely competitive handicap over a trip plenty sharp enough run at a dawdle should be better suited to this step back up in trip, appeared to still be in form on saturday having got outpaced turning in before staying on well to take 3rd behind 2 unexposed improving handicappers and this looks easier. Licence To Till is a reliable sort and comes from a yard in top form but he doesnt look at top of his game at the moment and a further 1lb higher since last seen here on polytrack when 3rd, and 7lb above last winning mark on polytrack. SinFonico made a promising return to racing last time out over CD when not getting the clearest of runs probably didnt affect the result that day and aslong as he doesnt bounce he would have a shout in this but does still remain 1lb above last winning mark. 2pt win True To Form 3/1 pp
