3.25 Lingfield Shame to see such a small field for a decent grade handicap for time of year but could be a straightforward opportunity for Libys Dream to pick up where she left off when she was last seen on these shores. Requisite has been running much better recently including last time out behind Chilli Green finishing with some effect but still looks handicapped up to her best at the moment and unlikely to get a decent gallop to chase here. Chevise has thrown in a couple of real stinkers recently and cant be backed at present. Keen to take on the favourite Triple Charm, didnt beat much on handicap debut and that form looks extremely weak, slightly bettered that form next time out when 3rd off revised mark and up a further 1lb for that, didnt look overly suited by the 7f which is a concern again today and clearly not the most straightforward with cheekpieces fitted very quickly but yard are in good form. Bavarian Princess won a similar 4 runner event over this trip at Wolves 2 weeks ago beating Qeethara who has since scored again but 2lb higher in a stronger race looks her undoing. For me Libys Dream could well be the rapid improver in this small field. She won back to back handicaps in comfortable style on first 2 runs for the Dascombe team pulling well clear of a reasonable field, probably punching a little bit above her weight in a listed event in Deauville since but still only beaten just under 3 lengths and aslong as still in same form she could prove hard to beat racing in a prominent position returned to handicap company on a sharp upwards curve. 5pt win Libys Dream 9/4 pp 7.30 Wolverhampton Yorksters Prince has some good looking form figures but they have all come in claimers and sellers when last seen on turf but well held on previous tries in handicaps off much lower marks and has a lot to prove off this sort of mark but he could be an obvious pace angle. The other that is likely to toe these along at a good pace is Thunderstruck and did manage a win 3 starts back when getting a soft lead but handicapper has looked back in charge since and never won off a mark this high and yard have gone a little quiet all of a sudden aswell. Tevez wasnt disgraced last time out staying on well in a race which was run to suit so perhaps disappointing not to get closer and will need to find more given he remains 3lb above his last winning mark. Knowe Head has proved costly to follow this winter, has received some strange rides at times and caught the eye but has failed to cash in on lower marks in weaker races. Now 16lb above his only win without winning since which is a major concern and just cant be touched at 5/2. Mullins Way has to be of interest given this race could be run to suit and his improved effort on recent comeback in a good race, finishing with some effect having gone wide turning in and then finishing away from the action as it unfolded so did well to finish with such affect. Up only a 1lb for that effort clearly goes well fresh which might be the worry here but if coming on for the run should go close with yard continueing in great form with a small team. 2pt win Mullins Way 4/1 bet365 8.30 Wolverhampton Just a brief one, Bryfna Boy looks worthy of a small bet he caught my eye on Saturday it was only his second start for this trainer and yard are in good form. Should be just about reaching peak fitness now 3rd run back from a break and this looks a tad weaker compared to the typical competitive Blue Square Sprint Series Qualifier he raced in at the weekend, he appeared to be travelling well before finding it hard to get through but did appear to pick up well but by the time he got out the front few were long gone and he was given a hard race in the end that was over 6f, but all 3 wins have come over todays 5f trip including over CD and despite losing run stacking up he is now 9lb below last winning mark and aslong as blinkers have same positive effect he should go close. 1pt win Bryfna Boy 8/1 bet365

Re: Flat Racing 24th Feb hard going at the moment .......4 pts profit yesterday ....... 8.30 wolv da quonde 96 court applause 92 pitkin 94 da quonde is fav at around 7/2 and i can see why but +5 weight and +6 hcap means he will have to give more to win again .court applause is 1 lb lighter and should be able to give the fav a run for his money today yet is priced up at a general 8/1 (very generous) .pitkin hasnt run for 58 days but with -1 weight and -1 hcap he should be competitive if fitness isnt an issue (around 7/1 generally) i'll take pitkin 7/1 bet365 and court applause 8/1 bet365 against the field as bet365 are being very generous with their prices 1pt wins on each
