Re: William hill $50k Gtd! $38,50 buyin on 5/11/11 (new date) What a complete and utter **** up by Hills. I hadn't realised this was a turbo myself, but had made a complaint about the stupid starting time, which was both ensuring that I couldn't play (my main whinge), and secondly that the Hills accountants would look at this and make sure that the poker management (and I use that term loosely) wouldn't be able to come up with any decent promotions again once the inevitable huge overlay ocurred here, and their incometence was displayed for all to see. The response to my complaint was that it had to be this early becasue it could last between 6 hours (omg shock horror, a poker tournament lasting a few hours) and 10 hours. In a ******* turbo? Holy crap batman, give me some of what they've been drinking. Obviously now gutted at losing out on a $24k overlay as expected. I can only assume that the poker management team at Hills will be on the end of P45s on Monday morning.

Re: William hill $50k Gtd! $38,50 buyin on 5/11/11 (new date) I agree the start time and structure were pretty strange, but whatever structure and time they start it is always going to be unsuitable for some. I think most of us who played thought the same, but played because as you said there was a good overlay and we thought it was worth a go. You could just transfer $38.50 to me and pretend you played and you just got a couple of horrible beats, but still got the overlay:) I would expect nothing different from there support, they are carp, just like all poker sites support are.

Oh my complaint was before the event, becasue I couldn't play at that time due to work. Thing is you put it on in an afternoon, then of course you are limiting the field, so many work weekends nowadays. There's a reason that all sites run big guarantees in the evening, and small ones in the afternoon, and it's not becasue we all like playing till 3am. The idiocy of Hills in this case is just astonishing. But on a personal note, serves them right for compounding that initial idiocy with the idiocy of thewir replies and reasons for holding it at the wrong time, and running it as a turbo just to blow their only reason for holding it at 3pm out of the water. bunch of utter clowns.

I'm just annoyed I missed what was obviously always going to be a massive overlay. :sad
