Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Midweek > Evo-Stik Northern, Southern & Ryman Prem Aug 22-24 Margate at home to Aveley (10/11 Bet365) Margate followed up their thrilling pre-season form with a decent point at Wealdstone, whereas Aveley struggled to make any headway against a Kingstonian side down to ten men after the half-hour mark. This looks like a price from a year ago; I think Margate have improved significantly whereas Aveley haven't done anything to suggest they can aspire to anything better than mid-table obscurity. Marine at home to Northwich Victoria (11/10 widespread) It's really tempting fate to expect a side to win four on the bounce, but Marine look in decent nick this season, with Jamie Rainsford hardly missed - the club can call upon a number of excellent forward combinations, with the added bonus that their bench is always strong. The Vics have a win and a draw, but as soon as they had a spell of looking convincing, they have gone off the boil; Marine look to have a gear to spare when they need it. Anything over Evs is a good price. Chesham United at home to Cambridge City (7/4 BetFred) These are evenly matched sides, I think, and I maintain that Chesham were unlucky to come back pointless from trips to Chippenham and Brackley. Cambridge City are still shuffling the pack with cover-loanees, and they were very much second best to Stourbridge on Saturday in the 0-0. It's no gimme, but these teams should really be 11/8 the pair, making Fred's price a sporting one.
bartonbank
Re: England > Midweek > Evo-Stik Northern, Southern & Ryman Prem Aug 22-24 Don't know as much about this section but, asking the real experts, are Chester priced up on reputation? Although only a friendly FCUM won at Chester recently and both teams have had similar starts. In those circumstances surely FCUM is overpriced? FCUM are a much more interesting proposition than last season, with a stronger squad that has been better prepared, although there are clearly one or two defensive issues that still need sorting. For Chester the question is finding the right blend, which to be honest they are still some way from doing. If you have a strong fancy for FCUM I certainly wouldn't argue against it at the prices available.
Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Midweek > Evo-Stik Northern, Southern & Ryman Prem Aug 22-24 Decent enough early season night - Marine failed but Margate and Chesham came home.
