backing nailed on favourites

Recommended Posts

hi all did any of you see the article in The Sun newspaper last week about the punter whos turned 8 grand into 135 grand by backing a succession of 'dead certs' just wondered if any of you have considered trying it or do you feel the risk far outweighs the gain i was inspired to try it but only started with a pot of £4 but 7 bets later i'm up to £6.28 and tonight all that rests on derry to win against galway in the irish league :loon

Re: backing nailed on favourites Already spotted: http://forum.punterslounge.com/1951820-post199.html I believe most of us tried backing dead certs at one point, and I don't think there is recipe for success of that strategy; sometimes I think such a matches rely more on luck than on analysis - if match is considered "dead cert", then all the info, form, etc. go in favour of that team; however, surprises happen, so it sometimes seems like a luck if you avoid such a surprise.
