MLB Overall 2011 55-33 +18.78 units (62.50%) Pirates -123 to win 1 unit @ 5dimes Not a homer play. Garland has been playing well on the road. Morton had a terrible year last year. He went 2-12 with like an 7. something ERA. But he's having one of the better statistical years this year. He's been throwing a lot more fastballs this year compared to last year (up 20%) and they've been more effective. He is currently 3rd in the league for ground ball outs. He's 1-0 at home with 20.2 innings pitched and a 1.74 ERA. Just one HR. Last year when he played against the Dodgers, he did actually lose but he had one of his better games of his career. He gave up 3 ER and got 8 K's (second biggest in his total). Hopefully the Pirates bounce back for .500 after a shutout yesterday

Re: MLB: May 12th Picks Cleveland - Tampa Bay under 7.5 @ 1.85 pinnacle Masterson is 5-0, with a 2.11 ERA as he allowed 1 run on 9 hits in the 2-1 loss to the LA Angels. Though he ahs struggled against TB, going 1-3 with a 6.37 ERA in 5 starts, hard to ignore the form he is in. Shields is 3-1, with a 2.01 ERA as he has allowed just 3 runs on 17 hits in his last 4 starts, and allowed 1 run on 3 hits in the 6-2 win at Baltimore on Friday. He too has struggled against his opposition today, going 0-4 with a 4.06 ERA in 6 starts vs Cleveland, but with both pitchers in very good form, can see this being a low scoring game. San Francisco - Arizona under 6.5 @ 2.08 pinnacle Cain is 2-2, with a 3.38 ERA and allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in the 4-3 win over Colorado in his last start. He is 2-0 with a 1.41 ERA in his last 5 home starts against Arizona. Hudson is 3-4, with a 4.47 ERA and allowed 5 hits in the 6-0 win over San Diego. They faced each other last month where Cain allowed 1 run and 4 hits while Hudson allowed 5 runs on 6 hits and 3 walks as the Giants won 5-2. With Cain in very good home form against Arizona and Hudson pitching much better lately, can see this game with just a few runs in it May picks: 17-30 (-8.67) April picks: 45-56 (+2.52)

Re: MLB: May 12th Picks Cleveland - Tampa Bay under 7.5 @ 1.85 San Francisco - Arizona under 6.5 @ 2.08 Pittsburgh -1.5 @ 2.70 pinnacle Morton is 4-1, with a 3.13 ERA as he allowed 1 run on 5 hits in the 6-1 win over Houston. He is 1-0 with a 1.74 ERA in 3 home starts, and has been pitching well enough to win this one again. Garland is 1-2, with a 3.66 ERA as he allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in the 4-2 loss to the NY Mets. Has not been able to get a win in his last 3 road starts against Pittsburgh and not liking him to get much support here, as the Dodgers will be looking to go back out west to prepare for the series with Arizona starting tomorrow. Atlanta -2.5 @ 3.04 pinnacle Lowe is 3-3, with a 3.22 ERA as he allowed just 2 hits in the 5-0 win over the Phillies, and with just 97 pitches thrown, should be fresh for this start. He has not allowed a run in his last 3 starts against Washington, and after blowing last nights loss to them, expect them to come out fired up and looking to build some confidence going into the series with the phillies, by not getting swept here. Zimmermann is 2-4, with a 4.10 ERA and is 1-3 with a 5.92 ERA in his last 4 starts, as he allowed 3 runs in the 11-2 loss to Atlanta last month. Like the Braves to come out swinging and give Lowe the run support to win this game. Baltimore -1.5 @ 2.46 pinnacle Britton is 5-2, with a 2.93 ERA and will look to bounce back after allowing 3 runs in the 6-2 loss to Tampa Bay. He is 3-1 with a 3.09 ERA in his last 4 starts as they look to sweep Seattle, and improve on their 16-19 record against a Seattle team that has lost 4 straight games and their last 3 road games due to their lack of run scoring. While Vargas has won his last starts, he is 2-2, with a 4.68 ERA and is coming off allowing 1 run on 6 hits in the 3-1 win over Texas. He is 1-1 with a 2.35 ERA in 4 starts vs Baltimore and like the orioles hit him since they have seen him a few times, but Seattle is yet to see Britton NY Yankees -2.5 @ 2.71 pinnacle Nova is 3-2, with a 4.08 ERA and after a poor start to the season has started to settle down and has allowed just 3 runs in winning 2 of his last 3 starts. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in the 4-1 win at Texas on Friday and with Kansas yet to see him, like him to continue his good form here. O'Sullivan is 1-2, with a 3.41 ERA and is 1-1 with a 2.16 ERA in his last 4 starts as he allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in the 3-2 loss to Oakland on Friday. However he is 1-2 with a 6.06 ERA in 3 starts against the NY Yankees, and with Granderson and Jeter in good form, and both having some good numbers when batting to O'Sullivan, like them to give Nova some run support while winning the deciding game in this series, and this will give them a lift going into the rivalry series with Boston tomorrow May picks: 17-30 (-8.67) April picks: 45-56 (+2.52)
