dazgee Posted May 11, 2011 Share Posted May 11, 2011 over the past 10 years ive read loads of gambling books on horses dogs and soccer . and ive had about 15 years practice , out of all the books i read , i only found 3 books usefull , 1 = profitable football betting - paul steele 2 = sucessfull football betting - geoff harvey 3 = fixed odds sports betting - joseph buchdahl with paul steeles i made 72% R.O.I in one year. with geof harveys book i made 17% R.O.I in one year . with joseph buchdahls i made 3% R.O.I. in one year . all other books failed . can you recommend any books which helped you ??? You can hit %80 with 1.24 odds but you cant make any profit! It's impossible to hit %70-80 over the long haul with 1.90-2.00 odds. Should be realistic. Sorry but these are the facts.. Its a tidy system in theory but some of the underpinning assumptions, whilst correct in some cases, are extremely unlikely to be correct across all matches and leagues. With regard to my threads on the psychology of gambling I suggest "YOUR MONEY AND YOUR BRAIN" by Jason Zweig Its geared towards Stock investment but the lessons are the same. Also,if you have read say 12 books then I wonder how you can ascribe %s to each book since the info contained in soccer betting books is not exclusive to any one book.
