RECALC.R.P STANDARD TIMES

im going to attempt to recalc the r.p standards as it seems some of them are way out and a bit silly and others have question marks over them so as a base im taking the course record for that distance/age and dividing it by the standard time .at newmarket all distances and times up to 1 mile come out with a figure between 0.983 and 0.993 so as i think the standards there are relatively spot on as many top class horses seem to run near the standard time i will endeavour to bring all courses times to within those boundries to hopefully bring some sort of clarity ....of course there are pitfalls but im erring on the side of caution as 0.983 is a higher standard time so would be easier to achieve and this is my target : any comments greatly appreciated i will give adjustment factor needed to r.p standard in brackets ascot : 5f 2yr 0.986 no adjustment 5f recalc to 58.40 (-1.6 secs!!) (0.983) can this be right? 6f 2yr 0.985 no adjust 6f 0.983 no adjust 7f 2yr recalc to 87.3 secs (+0.4) (0.993) 7f recalc to 86.22 (-0.68) (0.985) 8f 2yr 0.993 no adjust 8f recalc 98.5 secs (-1.0) (0.986) first of many to come has anyone found the ascot times over 5f to be inflated ?
