Sat - Stewards Cup

Saturday we see the Stewards Cup being run at Goodwood and Ive got to put in a word for one of my personal fav horses, Texas Gold. Although not entered last year , he did win a recoignised trial race for the Stewards cup. He hasnt been given as many runs out this year as previous years and I feel that may be down to the stable aiming him at this race. As long as we dont have a downpour, ground and distance should suit and he has a good record at Goodwood. Goodwood Record(most recent on right) 3-1-7-2 Record over 6f 6-5-2-0-3-5-1-1-3-2-7-6-1-1-3-0 Seems well weighted. In his last run he came 6th but only a length behind Connect over 5f in a race where he didnt have the clearest of runs, leaving him too much t do once clear. The draw could be the making or undoing but Id expect the price to be cut if he gets a good draw. Good eachway bet with a real chance of winning. Sat - Stewards Cup Good write up WFTE and i agree Texas Gold certainly has a chance but i couldnt have a bet in this race without seeing the draw first - a high draw is absolutely essential on good ground or faster.
