Here's hopng we get some action !..........:hope Sou 2.05 - Nazreef - win at 8/11 BOG with Wm Hill Wouldn't often go for an odds on shot but this one looks as much of a dead cert as you can get in a handicap He's 3-3 over this CD and demolished a similar field, including several of todays rivals, in a similar class race last week Won by 11 lengths that day and a 6lb penalty shouldn't stop him. Looks a different class in this company. The handicapper is going to clobber him so it makes sense to get out quickly with a penalty. Yard in form I'm sure the 8/11 will look pretty good by tomorrow, so I'm getting in early............:D

BBOTD Tuesday 21st December Hopefully Southwell will be on, looks quite likely as they haven't had the snowfall yet like the South has, and their track handles the cold better than Wolverhampton... We shall see. 14:35 Southwell Peter’s Gift comes from a yard who are in fantastic form at the moment, and should be able to go close today as she’s on form which I feel makes her very well-handicapped. Kevin Ryan’s 4yo filly has won three times, two of those victories coming on the all-weather, and more specifically, one at Southwell. They’ve all been over today’s trip of 7f, and two of them were off marks 5lbs higher than she races off today. She has been in good form as of late, winning fairly well at Wolverhampton in early November. She ran on well and finished a length in front. It was her first win for 18 months, but in that time-frame, she’s posted a number of handy efforts. Ones of interest include performances here at Southwell. Over similar “slow” conditions that she’ll run off today, she finished 2nd off a mark of 70. She was only just headed in the last 50yds, and was an extremely decent run. That was only in February, so she still should hold some of that form. She has never been beaten very far when running at Southwell, been much more consistent than when running on turf or at Wolverhampton. Last time she ran here off a similar mark, she was running over an inadequate 6f, missed the break quite significantly, and plodded on to finish 4th. Last time we saw her, she ran OK at Wolverhampton over the 7f trip, albeit fading within the last furlong or so. It wasn’t an horrendous effort, and the fact she’s been dropped another lb in the handicap for it, only adds to the positives. Peter’s Gift is now back to her ideal 7f trip, back to ground on which she thrives on, having never been beaten by more than 4 lengths. She also gets the assistance of Philip Makin once again, who won on her on the only time he has ridden her. A mark of 63 seems quite lax, having finished second here earlier in the year off a mark of 70. She’s also won here off a mark of 68 over this distance, and she doesn’t seem to be regressing too much either. I’m quite confident of a good run, and I think the 6/1 currently on offer is fairly big. I have her as a 4/1 chance, so will stick with medium stakes for this one. Peter’s Gift; Win @ 6/1 Bet365 (bog)
