Sir Puntalot
http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/nov/05/harrahs-loses-1648-million-third-quarter/ Nevada also has the worst unemployment figures in the USA with 14% unemployed. Can Vegas stand this amount of pressure?

deadlydaveLDN
Re: Harrahs loses $164.8m in 3rd Quarter - Vegas in meltdown? As it always has in the past, the economy will pick, Vegas will get bigger and better, then there'll be another crash, etc. etc.
Nade
Re: Harrahs loses $164.8m in 3rd Quarter - Vegas in meltdown? There's a lot of doomsday speculation about Las Vegas with casinos in huge debt, Trump selling (or has sold his tower?) high unemployment and the water issue. The guy in charge of LV has said they plan to pipe in water from the coast to alleviate this problem but it will come at huge cost and there's the issue of Obama twice telling people not to blow their money in LV which has had them up in arms. There does seem real concern from people across the pond that LV is in the shit.
