puntyboy
Re: Melbourne Cup 2nd Nov Do the UK firms do this for the Melbourne Cup? Will be interested to know what the pool sizes and dividends are like compared to here. I decided to have a little go on the tri. Went: 3 23 24/3 11 12 15 19 20 22-24/1 3 11 12 15 19 20 22-24. Will be interesting to see how these European horses go that you guys are rating today. We're not giving them to much notice over here, rightly or wrongly. Some of these horses have also been massive odds in the lead up, some as late as Saturday. Holberg I think was matched at 1000s on Saturday :eek Yeah PPower gave me tricast anyway. Tedthewolf
Re: Melbourne Cup 2nd Nov AMERICAIN CLAIMS MELBOURNE CUP Americain landed a famous success for France as he claimed the Emirates Melbourne Cup at Flemington. Trained by Alain de Royer-Dupre, the five-year-old was ridden with supreme confidence by Gerald Mosse to come home a clear-cut winner. Maluckyday kept on for second while favourite So You Think could finish only third.
Trotter
Re: Melbourne Cup 2nd Nov Oh.........:@ I was reading this thread last night and was going to post up Americain as my tip, but I checked the card on the Post and there were no odds against his name, so i assumed he was a non runner........ I probably wasn't going to part with any cash so i've not lost out, apart from the glory...............:lol

Tedthewolf
Re: Melbourne Cup 2nd Nov For anyone that missed it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3QxFt6AA8Q Well done the French :clap Winner won really well and a great ride by the jock. Just a shade too far for the Fav but not disgraced. Harris tweed ran well for a long while but didn't last home. Thought Frankie was traveling well enough but just faded in the end.
