I was impressed by this horse on his last run when he bolted up over this track, he travelled well and picked up when asked and although the hot fav was a disappointment that day he still looked a horse to follow in this grade. High Jinx is second fav on his hurdling debut but this looks a couple of years too late for him to start a new career.

Classy meeting and I'm going to try and take advantage of the huge draw bias here by rating the low draws (7) only in the sprints and backing the two highest rated in singles and doubles

Formerly with Neil Mullholland but seems to have improved since switching to Nicholls although he was always going to be a chaser. Has won both of his completed starts over fences and fell in the other but was really impressive last time out. Steps up in class here but I think the way he travels in his races he can cope with better opposition than this.

Personally dont like Hexham, too many shock results happen there for my liking but needs must and I do fancy Swashbuckle for the McCain yard.
Decent flat horse for the Baldings and to be honest I thought this horse would be an ideal type for hurdling. Its took a while for him to hit form but did so in a jumpers bumper last time out. He should be able to dismiss this company without much fuss and could lead from a long way home.

She finished midfield on debut at Newbury and then was backed when winning at Lingfield. Last time out she dipped her toes in Listed company and now kicks off this season in calmer waters.

Not very original today but hard to get away from Victory Bond and Ryan Moore at Ascot. The 5yo improved for a switch to the AW this year and won on Finals day over 10f. I'm not too concerned about the drop in trip and you need to stay here on this track so his stamina will come in handy. Trainer in good form and will take some beating.

Just a quick note while I think about it.
David Evans was going on about a 2yo when interviewed on Racing UK last month, he said it was owned by Simon Munir and was a very quick youngster that should go well first time out at Leicester. I had a quick look at the entries and Awake In Asia was due to run but the meeting was called off.
He runs tomorrow at Windsor in the 250, interesting to see how he gets on

Backed this last time out and was a tad disappointed the way he finished off, that was his second run back from a break and now De Sousa is back on top so will give him another chance. Hopefully he can sit just behind the leaders and strike late on under the De Sousa drive, he's a decent price anyway.

Got to wait until the very last race for this one to run! I have this clear on my figures for his last two starts and a 3lb rise looks well within his capabilities. He has had a 67 day break and gets into this Class 6 0-55 event, he won a 0-60 last time off 53. This looks quite a weak race to me?
