Hello, it's been some time since my last post. So, in a nutshell, this thread is not dead yet.
I've worked a lot on improving the data quality and the whole data acquisition process, improving the data model, simplifying the codebase and making this whole thing more reliable and maintaiable. Still, some way to go, but I estimate I will be ready with new predictions in 3-4 weeks. Until then, good fortunes!

I've also changed the bet selection strategy. Until now, I was averaging the output from different models to come up with a prediction, Now, I don't do this anymore. Instead, I take a majority vote from multiple predictions. If >50% of the models agree that there is value on  this bet, it goes. From my backtesting, this should improve yield, but lower a bit the number of bets...which is really fine because I felt like I had to many disagreements with the bookies. 
I'm also working on a new staking plan that will take into account prediction advantage on that league (stake higher where I'm confident I do better than bookmakers), overround (reduce the stake if the overround is to big). 
I've been asked by some people about performance across leagues and I did not have a clear answer. Now I can say I have some preliminary conclusions. These come from backtesting and evaluating the accuracy o the models compared to the bookmaker's closing odds and average yield achieved in a particular league. I can not yet draw conclusions about a lot of leagues where I have few games.
-I tend to do well in: E2, E3, SC0, SC1, SC2, NED, D1, TUR
-I tend to do poorly in: MLS (probably the most unpredictable league, even for the bookies),  F2, E1, SP2, I1, SP1 (good accuracy but low yield)
You have to keep in mind that I use closing odds which should be more accurate. So, I think that if I bet in the leagues I did poorly in backtesting a few days in advance where there is less information available, I could still find some good prices and do well in the long run...except MLS...there seems to be a totally different story about MLS. I will also try to personally look at injuries and suspensions...that was the initial plan, but lately I did not have time to go through dozens of games individually and I preferred a more automated approach.

It took me a while. Most complex part is acquiring the data and integrating it into one standardized format. Yeah, models were built with R and are saved on my pc. I'm not sure that python is simpler, it could be faster in terms of execution speed.
I thought about that when I was starting, but at the moment I wouldn't do it. I don't think it will make a big difference and I already have a lot of data in the current format and I'm happy with the results, I prefer improving on what I already have. Also, only a few leagues have this kind of data.
I didn't backtest againt one specific bookmaker, because it was impossible to find one that covered all my games. I was using closing odds from oddsportal. I took the best odds and then lowered them a bit to reflect more realistically what odds I could get in real life. The backtesting results were somewhat worse than the results at the moment, but still pretty good...my explanation is that closing odds are much harder to beat and when I bet now I select the bets few days in advance where I can better spot some mismatched odds.
