:$ sorry team mate. Bit of a roller coaster ride for me tonight. Down but not quite out with my tripQs losing to Mr Vs flush. Played alot better after I got moved from next to Run, having given him enough of my chips (and he still couldn't finish above me). :lol Finally out to 2 lots of KK when my 99 didn't hit (odds in my favour there I think!) Happy with 9th, should push me up the table abit more. :DOut early (again).:wall Ran into software problems, ie it dealt me the 2nd best hand each time I came up against Avongirl. GL all. -

As this does now clash with CL I may concentrate my efforts there. However, is there any news on how many games count towards the Virgin league please?

CORRECTION I'm still dithering about this. :unsure Monday nights are not good for me due to an evening class (although it says Tuesdays, the dates according to my diary are Mondays or Thursdays except 6 June??) so unless it's a 9.00+ start I'd be sitting out. Do we know start time yet please? And how many games count towards the final position - is it best of X? And $10 is alot for me (never paid more than $3 yet). Plus my Virgin a/c has $0 in it so I would have to deposit. However if I don't win some V-miles, Run will go to Vegas without me! :( (Don't think I'm ready for 1st prize and I am definitely not aiming for it!) So, will vote myself in if only to give myself the option (if that's OK). Having a poor money-winning month, despite doing quite well in the league, but if I have a change of fortune over the weekend I may give it a go.

Re: STT strategy Just to add something legitimate to this thread. There is an article in the latest Inside Edge (June 2006) on p.88 'Let's Pretend'. The writer advocates using needling in chat to send opponents on tilt, berating bad calls and laughing at bad beats with a "nh", etc. Maybe this is the way to go Fools, rather than mentioning your actual hand.:ok

I went out at the same time as Pene on our table and it showed me as 2nd and shared the 2nd place prize money between us, (:) for me) but as I had fewer chips going all-in I placed 3rd as far as points are concerned. This also happened with PocketLady last time, I think. I'm not really familiar with Prima sites so dunno if they always do their placings this way or if it's just private games perhaps?Yeah, I agree now, although it still showed me as 3rd??!! Mine was up 93cents, so if it is exchange rate some of you must have looooooooaaaadsamoney in your account (about $20 in mine). 8th tonight but was chip leader at one point so I should really have hung on better. Should have walked away from a hand against Mo and struggling after that. Anyway $6.36 is a PB for me in MTTs (impressive eh!) so I can't really be disappointed.:okBy the way the increase in money seems to be something to do with the exchange rate I reckon. -

Re: VC/Maxim King of Poker 2006 Very well done to everyone who played. :clap :clap I soooooo wanted Hulagirl to win and I bet Maxim did too - what a story that would have been for them. Highlight of the evening was definitely meeting everyone, and it's good to hear that everyone had a good time. I have to say I was abit disappointed (on the players' behalf) - can't believe they didn't give you some food in the break (not that you missed much anyway!). The Maxim girls were rubbish (and if I thought that, what must you lads have thought!), no proper celebs, no goody bags. However plenty of drink which I guess was all most people really wanted!:beer :beer :beer Some people bagged their own goodies - Daveo for one last seen walking down Piccadilly with a red velvet cushion stuffed up his jacket! And I see some of the VC Maxim banners have appeared with their new owners in the photo section! Me and Masterplan got snapped by an official photographer (Run was still playing) so look out for us in next months Maxim mag. Never thought I'd say that!! :loon

On the 'more chips when all-in' rule, I will presume points result is Hen 3rd, Danny 4th, and Mr V nil for no show.
