Wicklow Brave ran far better than I thought he would at Cheltenham behind Vautour only weaking after the turn in. The form of that race was boosted by Josses Hill the other day and Wicklow Brave can give it a further boost. You could knock his previous form but the fact is you can do no more than win.

3.50 Fairyhouse Lieutenant Colonel 13/2 William Hill BOG

Rennetti has bags of ability and is feared but Lieutenant Colonel has outstanding claims here and is an each way still but should nearly win. Here is why! After winning a Punchestown bumper he was 2nd to Vautour at Navan before bolting up here in January. Although he was easily brushed aside by Wicklow Brave at Punchestown in February the stable was under a cloud then. He finished 6th to Faugheen lto at Cheltenham and he is now back at the track where he won his maiden hurdle and also a track that the stable does particularly well at.

Castle of Argh had 2 runs last season ans was 3rd lto over 1m at Dundalk. Stepping up 4f in trip today which he will appreciate and with the stable just coming into form he should be bang there and he is working well also. I know nothing about Cosmic Cannonball from the Bolger stable but Gowran is his back yard and his filly is respected. Castle Of Argh should win this poor race.

Beat That has not yet progressed into the horse connections think he is just yet but can go along way towards achieving that by winning here. He won well first time out at Ascot before Christmas pulling clear effortlessly on the run in before finishing runner up to Killala Quay on horrible ground at Sandown where a last flight mistake cost him. He should do better on this ground and appreciate this trip. The opposition is good but none of them are world beaters.

Both he and Dynaste had hard races at Cheltenham and as we have seen before most Cheltenham winners do not follow up here. He should put his experience to good use and gain compensation here. Onenightinvienna beat a fair horse of Nicholls lto in a bumper at Taunton but makes his debut over hurdles today. Was also placed in bumpers at Naas behind Kilultagh Vic and here behind Montys Meadow in December.
