  1. 2.10 Punchestown Marchese Marconi 3/1 Bet365 BOG Marchese Marconi was good on the flat and improved throughout the season last year finishing runner up in the Cez. With his stable coming in to form he looks the one to beat especially as Power rides him in preference to the favourite High Statos who won a bumper here at the festival 10 Points win Marchese Marconi 3/1 Bet365 BOG 4.30 Punchestown Steps To Freedom 11/10 Coral BOG Steps To Freedom was the best of these over hurdles and loves this ground. He was second at Roscommon at Killarney twice last season over fences. This more galloping trach should suit and he has won here before. 10 Points win Steps To Freedom 11/10 Coral BOG 8.50 Uttoxeter Forever Field 5/6 & 1.55 Bangor Grumetti 4/7 & Never Never Evs Paddy Power Forever Field has to be the selection from a stable who had a winner here on Wednesday. McCoy rides which suggests they mean business particularly as he has been riding a lot of McCain's horses lately. Grumetti is in a different league to these and will either win or fall. Never Never was 4th to Germany Calling last week at Uttoxeter and enjoys a huge fitness edge and experience over Handmaid. The others have no chance. 10 Points win Treble Forever Field 5/6 & Grumetti 4/7 & Never Never all Paddy Power (works out 5.762) 5.20 Bangor Quiet Candid 11/8 Stan James BOG Henderson bumper horses have to be taken seriously here at this time of year as he has an excellent record. Quiet Candid won an Irish point and was sold immediately and this looks a great opportunity for her to start repaying some of that money. 10 Points win Quiet Candid 11/8 Stan James BOG

3.50 Newbury Olympic Glory 11/10 Paddy Power BOG
Olympic Glory who won the Greenham here last year and ran several good races in Group 1s before winning the QE2 Stakes at Ascot in the autumn should win this as one of only 2 Group One performers. The other one is Verrazano whose stable will hit form with a bang in the next few days but has not as yet.
10 Points win for Olympic Glory 11/10 Paddy Power BOG

  4. 6.55 Kilbeggan Busty Brown 6/4 William Hill BOG
Busty Brown has the best form in this race by far. Although probably not as good as when winning the Monksfield Novice Hurdle at Navan a few years ago he has come back this season after a layoff starting with a third to Sailors Warn at Leopardstown followed by a midfield run at Aintree and an ok run against Thousand Stars at Fairyhouse. Now dropped in grade, he should win this easily.
10 Points win Busty Brown 6/4 William Hill BOG
    7.30 Kilbeggan Prima Vista 5/2 Bet365 BOG
Prima Vista was the best of these over hurdles and is the best over fences as his 2nd in a Novice to Alderwood demonstrates. 2nd to Belle De Crecy at Roscommon on the flat last year he ran other good races and was coming back after a long layoff when 3rd at Fairyhouse last week. He should be straighter now and this is his race to lose.
    10 Points win Prima Vista 5/2 Bet365 BOG 8,30 Kilbeggan Patanne 3/1 Bet365 BOG
Although Crofton Trail's last run was a good one when 3rd at Punchestown behind Morning Run and the stable does well here, she is passed over in favour of Patanne whose stable also does well here. Patanne was odds on when 3rd in a bumper behind The Game Changer at Cork last March and a reproduction of that run would see him victorious here. He was also 2nd to Some Tikket at Navan before that. Should win.
    10 Points win Patanne 3/1 Bet365 BOG

  6. Re: What do you love about racing? From a betting point of view - winning (though that isnt going well just now). I enjoy the buzz and the battle between the bookies and myself. The spectacle itself is good but even better when you have money on. To be honest I am in it to win so it is purely from a gambling point of view!

  7. 2.55 Perth Man With Van 10/11 BetFred BOG Man With Van was below par the last day at Hexhame when tying up close home at Hexham when beaten by Knockanrawley. Should be fitter now and on this more suitable track should gain his revenge, 10 Points win Man With Van 10/11 BetFred BOG 3.25 Perth Hold Em Cowboy 15/8 BOYLESPORTS BOG Hold Em Cowboy won over hurdles here last night and is turned out quickly again, this time over fences. Although not as good over fences he is the one to beat with his stable flying. 10 Points win Hold Em Cowboy 15/8 Boylesports BOG 4.55 Tipperary Cillians Return 5/4 Bet365 BOG Cillians Return made light work of Vigil at Fairyhouse lto and with the runner up winning even easier at Leopardstown next time he cannot be opposed here despite moving to a questionable stable. if he is off he wins. 10 Points win Cillians Return 5/4 Bet365 BOG

2.45 York True Story 4/5 Paddy Power BOG
Looked very special when winning very easily at Newmarket at the Craven meeting slamming Obliterator by 7 lengths. Really oozed class that day and will be a major shock if he fails to deliver here. The stable has a good record at the meeting.
10 Points win True Story 4/5 Paddy Power BOG

  10. Re: BBOTD > Tuesday May 13th 5.50 Killarney The Crafty Butcher 5/1 Bet365 BOG The Crafty Butcher makes his debut over fences here with the stable in good form. Lto he finished 3rd at Punchestown to Top Of The Charts and won 3 times over hurdles last year. Midnight Game has ability but doesnt always put it in. 1 Point win for nap purposes The Crafty Butcher 5/1 Bet365 BOG

  12. 5.05 Killarney Martello Tower 11/10 Paddy Power BOG Martello Tower was 4th in a listed event to Empire of Dirt at Naas in March sandwiched between a bumper win at Fairyhouse and Punchestown. This is a good race with Badgerfort holding a decent chance but Martello Tower looks very good. 10 Points win Martello Tower 11/10 Paddy Power BOG 5.40 Killarney Darwins Fox 7/4 BetVictor BOG Darwins Fox ran well last time out against Daneking where different tactics were adopted. His stable does well here and if he runs a similar race here he should be able to cope with the inconsistant Sailors Warn who beat Thousand Stars at Leopardstown a few months ago but who ran badly since apart from winning on the flat at Sligo last week. 10 Points win Darwins Fox 7/4 BetVictor BOG

  13. 5.00 Doncaster Mariners Moon Evs Stan James BOG
Mariners Moon bolted up last week at Beverley and turns out under the 6lb penalty in a race that is no stronger. He will be very hard to beat and still looks ahead of the handicapper
10 Points win Mariners Moon Evs Stan James BOG
3.40 Musselburgh Fly Solo 5/2 BetVictor BOG
Fly Solo was beaten 0.5 lengths by Brigadoon last month at Catterick and has won at this distance. The trainer has a good record here but more importantly his trainer struck form with a vengence last weekend.
10 Points win Fly Solo 5/2 BetVictor BOG 5.50 Windsor Daydream Believer 15/8 Stan James BOG
By Acclaimation whogets a lot of 2yo winners and trained by Hannon who has a very good record in this race, Daydream Believer should not be opposed on debut particularly against a newcomer from the out of form Stoute stable.
10 Points win Daydream Believer 15/8 Stan James BOG

  15. 3.55 Leopardstown Geoffrey Chaucer 2/1 SktBat BOG
Geoffrey Chaucer has the best form in the race winning a Group 2 up the Curragh last year to follow up his victory in a maiden here. Although he has to shoulder a group 2 penalty here he should prove up to the task. With the exception of Australia he is the next best in the pecking order for the Derby and should again account for Altruistic who finished 3rd in the Racing Post Trophy. Fascinating Rock won a maiden here and then followed up at Navan in a listed contest. But these horses are very different and at his current price you would be better off investing your money in sedatives. O Brien has a great record in this and expect him to uphold it.
10 Points win Geoffrey Chaucer 2/1 SkyBet BOG

4.00 Lingfield Dalayna 10/3 Coral BOG
Dalayna representing Royer-Dupre who won this in 08 had a pipe opener over a longer trip at Maison Laffitte recently and should be fit enough. She will also handle the ground and was second in a listed contest at Longchamps in October. Most of the Agas improve from 3 to 4 and she should take a lot of beating here.
10 Points win Dalayna 10/3 Coral BOG

  19. 5.20 Cork Shield 2/1 SkyBet BOG Shield has been disappointing since winning a bumper in Leopardstown and has run over a variety of trips, running well without success. However in a race lacking strength and with the stable coming into form now he should win today. His form even with all those defeats make him the one to beat here. I expect him to win. 10 Points win Shield 2/1 SkyBet BOG

8.00 Nottingham Norse Star 5/6 SkyBet BOG
Norse Star was beaten 1.5lengths by Annipa at Windsor last month over 12f at Windsor and she went on to win the Cheshire Oaks yesterday. He meets nothing of that caliber here and should also relish the step up in trip.
10 Points win Norse Star 5/6 SkyBet BOG
