  1. Re: Conference Premier Ante-Post Something unusual happening at Wrexham...we are signing players on the way up, not on the way down. In addition to the signing Moult and York from Nuneaton and cb Hudson who was on loan at Welling last season, we have just signed Connor Jennings as well! We have finally got some pace. In addition, and with an eye to the future, the University who own the ground have have just had the first intake of young players onto degree courses. Over their courses they will play for our reserve team or be loaned out, but any good enough for the first team will play as well. The advantage of the scheme for us is that they receive no payment from us

But that's why Tamworth were value especially given they were at home. Hereford are at least as bad as them so for the market to have them as such strong favs was crazy. As for Wrexham of course wilkin will want to win this will get fans onside big time. Sent from my GT-I8190N using PL Forum
He is assessing some squad members but has said that not all will get a game in the first team for that purpose. He and the players know how much the Wrexham fans want a win here. We were poor in the return fixture and do not want them to do the double over us. We know an away win could go a long way to send Chester back down. Players are playing for a new contract. An ex Wrexham player who now plays for Chester has said Chester is a bigger club as the fans and players are more football orientated than the Wrexham fans and players. Even though mid table mediocrity beckons we will be motivated and we are a better team. I rarely punt my own team as I can never be sure my heart isn't influencing my pick, but I have played today. Obviously they lack a bit of confidence in the final 3rd' date=' however especially the 2nd half against Grimsby was quite ok. Again, decent is not meaning they are good. I'm a non english native speaker, but when I say decent that dosen't mean good. But they have a decent chance this afternoon at home to a non convincing Macclesfield. Expekts's 2,05 more accurate in our eyes.[/quote'] I mean no disrespect, as English is not your first language, but if decent does not mean good what do you mean by it?

Wrexham - Macclesfield Conference Premier England Saturday 5/4 16:00 Prediction: Wrexham Odds: 2,20 Stake: 4/10 units Bookmaker: Ladbrokes Wrexham coming form a few decent performances despite losing two in a row, now they are at home to Macclessfield who rarely impress on the road, they have lost 6 out of their last 7 games on the road and looks quite unmotivated at the moment. We give Wrexham a decent chance here. It's time to get a win after a few decent performances lately! Around evens in our eyes.
We have not put in any decent performances recently! Our forwards are shot shy and, for the last two matches, he has tried a diamond formation in midfield, which just hasn't worked. We only have five players under contract for next season and one of those wants out. There is going to be a huge cull before next year but those out of contract don't appear to be playing for a new deal or to impress other managers. I hope we win but definitely not a bet for me. 5. Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Mar 31-Apr 3

Braintree are part time I believe, they must be returning to Essex after each game, doing what work they can do and then back on the road again on the morning of the game. The coach travel this week must be a real pain at the least. They must be having phenomenal luck with injuries but that apart they are doing exceptionally well. I had extra on always confident I could trade out of it at no cost, football's not my main punting sport and I wouldn't be happy losing my full stake on a minor (for me) betting sport. I'll probably half my bet, then I can walk out of the ground without any anguish should Halifax fail to win.
Braintree may be in the midst of a really hectic schedule but they have had the benefit of what almost counts as a mid season break Sent from my HTC One X using PL Forum
  6. Re: England > Weekend > Skrill Prem/FA Trophy Semis 2nd leg Feb 22 Going simply on what I saw on Tuesday night, I will be on Grimsby to beat Cambridge in the second leg of the FAT semi final. Against Wrexham Cambridge, in 90 minutes, did not have ONE shot on target against Wrexham. bearing in mind their stuttering form over the last few weekends. Available everywhere at odds against, and working on the basis they will want to get to Wembley again having lost in the final last season, they are a definite punt for me.

  7. Not sure about the view that the goal should not have stood. From all the replays it did not look as if the keeper saw it late, even though Danny Wright appeared to duck slightly. However the lino flagged for offside but the ref would not have had the best view of whether Wright was 'in line'. The keeper, who was MOTM, certainly didn't appeal. 8. As far as Wrexham are concerned I don't know which performance will appear...the Oxford one or the Luton reserves one. It is likely, though, that it will be a makeshift midfield, with Harris suspended and Keates probably out injured. Our midfield has been the driving force of our recent good league performances (won 5 and drawn 2 of last 8) so losing 2/3rds of it is a big loss. For me this game is a no bet but, if you are thinking of playing, bear the above in mind. The other thing to bear in mind is it is blowing a gale! Sent from my HTC One X using PL Forum

  9. Re: England > Weekend > FA Trophy 2nd Round Dec 14 In relation to the Luton v Wrexham match up it is almost certainly a game neither team wants to win but I think it likely that wrexham are likely to want to lose it a little less than Luton!! We hold the cup first of all and, although it really makes little money for the bigger clubs until Wembley, I am sure the players do not want to give the thing up. Neither club want a replay so have agreed we can play extra time tomorrow! The Luton manager has made no bones that he will play a young side similar to the team who turned out in the last round. Wrexham also played a team short of first teamers. However, tomorrow I will have a punt on Wrexham, readily available at 3.5 and even 3.75 with Ladbrokes, as I am aware that Wrexham are travelling with the whole first team squad. I doubt that would be done without Morrell intending to name a strongish side and, although Luton have some decent youngsters, if we name a strong team and play like we did in the first half against Oxford, we are worth a punt.

  10. Re: England > Weekend > Skrill Prem Dec 7 At the price, and with their home record, Alfreton are value to get something against an impressive Luton. 8-1-1 at home, overall they are a bit of either win or lose this season with only one draw, but they must still feel confident at home no matter who they play. There is no doubting the John Still has got Luton playing as one would expect them to perform and, in any normal season they would the team to be on, but this season has all the appearances of having some surprises in store. At the price I am willing to bet on another one tomorrow. I had considered whether to do Alfreton DNB but, well, they don't do draws! In relation to Ship's pick of the time of Braintree's 2nd goal, I hope it comes in for him, but only if it finishes 2-0, as this gamel has all the looks of under 2.5 goals to me. Chester don't concede many but really struggle to score and Braintree have also become a bit goalshy in recent games. 1.73 will do for me
