  1. The off season war was always a strong chance to eat away at the soul of that team. Of course Griffin is off the injury but that doesn't explain everything and she was possibly distracted tonight, in anticipation of tomorrow. I suspect they'll bounce back ... maybe! I pegged it same.

  2. Tonight,

    Bendigo -3.0 @ 1.90

Two teams wanting to switch into response mode but it looks like Madgen is out. Not confirmed but the word is that she'll likely miss a week with an ankle.

For the other game, I'll Will be interested to learn why Allen didn't play any of the last seven minutes last night.

  3. I've never known a team in any sport to fold like Adelaide do when they've got a knee on the throat. Both last night and the NZ loss they couldn't make easy lay ups in the end. Saturday's match up with Illawarra becomes a head scratcher.

  4. Perth @ 4.80 & +9.0 @ 1.96

Perth 0-2 H2H but are in a better spot this time IMO. Appeared off their game in 67-73 home loss and lost 81-65 on no rest in first meeeting. Bendigo 3-0 at home (Canb nearly beat them) but can't be fully trusted. This is third time Lynx have played here, including preseason game.

  5. Tonights games;

    Sydney -14.5 @ 1.90

Was going to leave the game when opened -16.5. Chance could be slack off a strong weekend but are well coached and don't have reason to rest, either. More likely Adelaide concede some points resting.

    Perth @ 2.12 & +2.0 @ 1.94

Clydesdale, Cunningham back but will be on limited mins. Downie out. Rangers should be better prepared than last time but I've still pegged Perth the two point favorite. Boomers overall form last weekend perhaps takes some gloss off how Rangers looked too.

Like something in the QLD game that I'm still chasing.

  6. Report said he got through those sessions but had pulled up sore and missed yesterday's practice.

Part of my thinking is NZ are not up against a soft team this time. NZ last three at home were to Adelaide, Cairns and Sydney - three teams who fold easily. Just my opinion, from someone -2units on NBL. Obviously none of the 6.5/6.0 left.

  7. "Pledger also sat out Thursday's training with a chest infection, but it's hoped he will be able to suit up against the Wildcats"

"an untimely head cold laying centre Alex Pledger low. Pledger will play against the Cats, with Vukona a more 50-50 proposition"

I took Perth +6.5/6.0. Looked like Melbourne were off their best - not saying NZ aren't destined top-3. NZ lose something with Wesley. They are up against a tough team to hold out.

  8. Perth @ 2.05 & +1.5 @ 1.90

Hopefully Perth come away from a drama weekend with their heads screwed on, while I'm having too much trouble liking Illawarra. It looked two scratchy teams last week, where again Cairns seemed to loose confidence and the Hawks again failed to play four quarters. Backed this yesterday and pegged the game 11/8 & 3

    Adelaide @ 2.05 & +1.0 @ 1.90

Again backed yesterday and I feel they deserve to be a fairly strong favorite. Were under seige from Sydney Saturday, so I'd expect the'll be ready this time. They do look to be the better team. Kings should help there chances by shooting better than 51% from the line, which obviously cost the game Saturday.

  9. willing to share where you go those priceson melbourne?

I was about to ask D&U if was handy to a TAB (no market up at Topsport), because Tattsbet currently have Boomers 2.90 @ +5.5 @ 1.90.

Around 9:00am I took 3.15 Bet365 and the rest at 3.10 & +6.0 Tattsbet. 3.50 was up at at few bookies late last night.

  10. I guess we will still get some deals on Perth based on reputation and of course there's the Bendigo results from last weekend playing these two. By all reports Bendigo were abysmul in the loss to Adelaide - no comradery, enthusiasm, etc. Perth on the rebound should be too strong. Snared -6.0 @ 1.90 before bedding down last night certain it wouldn't last. :loon

Interestingly, identical losses in Victoria last night, both faced motivated opponents. Melbourne evolving strongly as a team, at home and not needing to travel are in the box seat IMO. I've marked them a slight favorite and took 3.11 & +6.0 @ 1.90

Market spot on at Townsville, so no bet.

  11. yes i had 8.5 so snuck in.

sydney coach talking about defence but i am still playing the over tonight. apart from harrington sydney shot a decent percentage last game, even garlepp and prewster made a few baskets. so they could be on the improve.

Talking defence usually means full-on shootout, doesn't it?

  12.

but going townsville and under in the late game so you are probably laughing on perth.

Tell me you got +8 or so on Townsville!! I'm now 1-45 on last moment bet deciding plays after it was a case of here we go again with Townsville nailing those late three's.
