  1. Been trying to bring up the ELO ratings for Serie A and La Liga but the cupboards are bare. I felt I should let you know, but you may already know, do you know? let me know.
  2. At the time of writing you can get Spain & England double @ 2.31 Unibet / Spreadex Serbia without Mitrovic, Vlahovic, Milinkovic-Savic, Tadic and Kostic for this one, that's a lot of key players for them. Spain are missing Morata which is a concern, but hopefully they can still get the job done with all the talent they have. England are missing quite a lot of key players, particularly attacking midfield but they could still field an AM lineup of Saka, Eze and Gordon which would probably be too hot for Seamus Coleman & co. to handle. ROI squad doesn't really impress me on paper, it should be a good atmosphere out there and they can make it difficult for England but I feel Carsley and the fresh blood will want to impress here. Short priced favourites hastily cobbled together in a double for mickey mouse league weekend... What could possibly go wrong???
  3. International break, yuck! Maybe one for bunging short priced favourites in an acca. Need more info on Spain, Norway, Belgium, England and Ukraine games but those mentioned could be fit for acca material. I will say that Foden, Palmer and Watkins are out for England. English League One and especially League Two fans, where are you ??? We need your insider knowledge more than ever in this desperate hour. MLS has a reduced card this weekend and the games are awful for 1X2 / AH bettors.
  4. Brentford + Joker = A sexy and exciting ticket to round 4 (All those who selected Chelsea will pay for their insolence)
  5. Oddschecker - best value migraleve market? Find it for me now.
  6. Is now a bad time to mention that Nketiah might sign for Palace?
  7. I think this one applies to any EPL outright market, so effectively the first EPL ante-post bet you take.
  8. Yeh, so it's no problem if said selection is the only EPL outright bet you're planning to make, but if you've got several EPL ante-post selections yet to make; the boost will be applied to the first bet after the offer is made available. So waiting a few weeks is problematic if you've got other selections in mind because you would have to defer those aswell.
  9. No guarantee the 25% boost would be there in a few weeks time.
  10. Premier League 2024/25 Top Goalscorer: Jean-Philippe Mateta, E/W 1/4, 4 Places @ 51.00 (Bet365) I've decided to pull the trigger on this since Bet365 are offering a 25% boost on EPL outrights at the time of writing, so I've effectively gotten on at 63.75 as an additional bonus. Suffice to say 51.00 is still very juicy imo. It should be noted that the main risk is the transfer window still being open for 2 weeks but with the 25% boost I'm willing to roll the dice now. I don't really have much to add to what's already been discussed other than Mateta has been a transformed CF under Oliver Glasner and I expect that to continue this season. Centre-forwards can be like fine wines and often reach the peak of their powers in their late 20's / early 30's. Mateta's form seems to be a case of right age / right manager. He only started 25 EPL games in 23/24 but that's because Edouard was the preferred CF under Hodgson early doors. Mateta is first choice now and if he can start more games this campaign he will have a good chance of breaking into the top 4 scorers. Mateta's EPL goals in 23/24: 16 EPL top 4 scorer threshold in 23/24: 19 So if Mateta scores his way into the top 4, we should make over 11X on our investment @ 51.00 and over 14X with the 25% boost. In terms of winning top scorer outright, I do think Mateta has a realistic, albeit smaller chance due to Haaland's continuing 'niggles'. The Norwegian does have a touch of the Andy Carrolls about him due to his physical size and intense style causing extra inflammation and wear and tear on his body. Haaland is very professional and looks after himself well but is vulnerable to flare-ups in his system. He had a troubled season in 21/22 for Dortmund where he only started 21 games in the Bundesliga. A repeat of that this year would create opportunities for others to take the golden boot. Hopes of the full payout could be viewed as hubristic straw-clutching by some but Haaland's fitness situation is an interesting footnote nonetheless.
  11. Your chances of gaining a knighthood this year have now officially reached David Beckham levels.
  12. Regardless of the olympics it's still a great e/w play for EPL top goalscorer because of the odds, it's better value than the vast majority of other plays in that market as things stand imo. I'm just waiting to make sure he's still at the club by the end of the window really as that would be the main concern for me. There's been no serious moves for him yet anyway + he is the one player which Palace really cannot afford to sell because he would be too difficult to replace as a CF. If you sell a winger you can generally find someone who will be as good as the player you sold within 12-18 months if not immediately but a centre-forward is way more difficult to replace at EPL level if he is consistently doing the business. Mateta was playing at demon level under Glasner and the flip side to the olympic call-up is that it shows us he is still in demon form over the summer.
  13. I really don't know but I guess he wont be available for the final pre-season game V Nantes on Sunday. Hopefully he'll be back for training in the week. I wake up in a cold sweat at night when Palace players are called up to the French national team, you can hear the sound of hamstrings pinging from across the channel. Edouard has been sharp in pre-season thank goodness. I'm still annoyed though as I want to put Mateta in my FPL team and possibly have an e/w bet on him to be EPL top scorer this season aswell.
