HI JS, Welcome back to poker, good luck and have fun. 1) First is probably something that you remember from when you played before and that is variance is a Bi*ch, especially with Sng's. Try not to take any beats to heart, think long term. If you put the volume in and concentrate on optimising good ICM decisions, the results should come. 2) BRM BRM BRM, so important worth mentioning more than once. Effective Bankroll Management is the key to managing downswings and optimising upswings. 50BI BRM is pretty standard for Sng's with no less than 30BI for DoN, but adjust according to your own appetite for risk/reward and/or the availability of additional funds. 3) The only other advice is to adapt to whichever variant you are playing. In top 3 from 9 or 10 full ring sngs you need to take advantage of good situations when they arise whereas in DoN survival is everything and it's actually ok to fold QQ 3-way at times. In DoN more than any other form of poker, be aware of (all) chipstack sizes, blind structures both now and next level.

Won 2x hard fought £5.50 DTD seats, but near bubbled the QF in one (big JJ shove gets called by A6 in bb pmsl), equally shafted in other. Bubbled IPO seat due to some blatant chip dumping going on. Not sure I can really be arsed anymore. Was going to book my flight etc tonight but not sure I'll bother with just the 1x seat to play. Whats to say the jokers in Dublin won't be the same online bingo players.

    Re: Punters Lounge Tournament There has been discussion about setting something up, but as you can no doubt imagine there's a huge amount of hard work involved behind the scenes in getting all of the logistics, location, tournament staff etc in place and making it cost effective to members. I'll raise it again with Paul/the mods. I think its safe to say that if we don't manage to get one up and running this autumn, we'll certainly try to set something up for early next year. Always awesome events, great meeting everyone and literally one of the highlights of the year :)

    Came 2nd for a €200 tournament token. Clutching at straws here but the prize has to be taken and if the winner can't make it, it goes to the 2nd placed player :hope :lol

    Re: Where are you playing Saturday 2nd? Well I got that all wrong, absolutely coasting in Micro, lose a big pot to a complete donk, then overplay a big pot trying to get back in contention. Soooo poor. 3 hours of good chip building play followed by half hour of complete amateurish rubbish!

    Stars ($3.30) Saturday Micro 25k G = 2' date=019/10,059 (1,440) Sky Social Freeroll = 320ish/435+late regs to come. Poor call with TT vs KK on low paired board, c'est la vie. Later on: DTD GPS Pennyroll = tbc

    Re: Where are you playing Saturday 2nd? 2nd break in micro, approaching end of late reg, up to 18k (avg 7.2k) mirror matching a fishy table with limped KQ multiway. curr 216/3939 from 9851, but back to more solid stance again now to protect the stack.

    Re: Goliath 2014 Appreciate the reminder Glenn, haven't ruled out of playing yet. Like the idea that there's lots of side events (including a 1day PokerPlayer tour and 25/25 event), helps to justify the trip & accomodation costs more. Would probably need to pick up at least one seat cheap though. Will have a think and let you know.

Still plenty of time to get up there, only half way through and 100+ points available every game. Keep it going PL :ok Don't forget the IPO seat for winner of league too ;)
