  1. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday December 11th "According to a Belgian newspaper, they take the league match against leaders Club Brugge much more seriously, and manager Ivan Vukomanovi? will give youngsters and players who haven’t played recently a chance. Arslanagic (12/0) , Marquet (3/0), Vinicius (3/0) are out while Geoffrey Mujangi Bia (14/6), Igor de Camargo (16/7, top-scorer), Paul-José M'Poku (16/4), Jelle van Damme (13/2), Adrien Trebel (11/0), Jeff Louis (14/2) going to be rested." Taken from: http://www.betshoot.com/101706-Standard-Liege-vs-Feyenoord-betting-tips Sounds legit.

  2. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday December 11th

My figures show the two sides have similar shots on target stats in this group' date=' but clearly Feyenoord have been the better side.[/quote'] Shots on target? Wouldn't you agree the biggest factor in this match is motivation? Feyenoord need to protect 1st position from Sevilla who are likely to beat the Croatians whereas Liege are already dead.
  3. Re: AS Roma v Manchester City > Wednesday December 10th

So who are the confirmed ones not playing? Yaya Toure Sergio Aguero Vincent Kompany David Silva Correct? Very small chance for City to score even 1 goal now.
Toure suspended, Augero out 6 weeks. Silva back from weeks out with a knee injury but Pellegrini quoted as saying it would be foolish to risk further aggravating a delicate injury like that and having a player like Siva ruled out for an even longer period. So it comes down to Kompany. He was spotted training with the team. He holds the whole defence together. Komapny did his hamstring in the away win to Southampton and it's reported he's struggling with the injury and faces a late fitness test. Again, if he plays he risks tearing the hamstring and City's title challenge goes bye bye. New boys Mangala in central defence and Fernando in holding midfield are players that Roma can really get at and aggravate into fouling them. These two haven't fully acclimatised to the team yet and have already made big errors in matches. If only Roma had a seasoned veteran in the final third who was wiley as a fox and could capitalise on this situation...
  4. Re: AS Roma v Manchester City > Wednesday December 10th

Of course they won't play for a goalless draw and of course they will go to Rome to attack' date=' but will they score? There's a good chance they won't. And at 15.00 odds I'm willing to take that chance. I doubt that Roma will score either, they've shown miserable attacking display lately especially in games against Bayern, CSKA and Napoli. Of course they will score against Sassuolo and all the other weaker Serie A teams, but today they will face a top BPL side, a side that has top defenders and manager, a side that kept Bayern at 0:0 for 90 minutes, and I doubt that the big game chokers like Gervinho or Destro are able to make it rain tomorrow. Especially when 0:0 is enough to go through. If there won't be an early goal, if the scores at half time are 0:0, what do you think Garcia will tell his men? That they should go attack? That they should risk City getting a goal and then they'd have to score 2? Nope. They will defend and they will park the biggest bus since CL final 2012.[/quote'] Well it's more about City needing to score. Not Roma's perceived inability to "make it rain". Kompany is out. How can you feel secure whenever Kompany is out? Especially away in Champions League? City will attack from the start as will Roma. Garcia said he will come at City already and this approach is only logical as playing for 0-0 leaves them vulnerable to a late sucker punch. If you fancy 0-0 I'd try the Juve Atletico match where both teams will ease into the 16 with a draw. Not a sudden death showdown for 2nd place where the heavily depleted away side MUST win in a very hostile atmosphere. A further reason... Morgan De Sanctis :D But if it's purely a value play, power to you :ok 2014%2f12%2fAgueroManCity-focus.jpg
  5. Re: AS Roma v Manchester City > Wednesday December 10th http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/article/2014/12/09/manchester-city-grapples-injury-list-roma-clash Well it's all about City's injury list for this one. Augero, Kompany, Toure and Silva are the best 4 players in the side and also the central spine of the side. Devastating considering City's reputation for being flaky in Europe and poor travelers. Whoscored.com predicts Nasri in a number 10 role behind Dzeko and this is nowhere near the usual attacking firepower we usually associate with City. Also reports Jovetic is injured? The site also has a central defensive pairing of Demichelis and Mangala. We all know what Kompany means to this side and Totti and co will be looking at these two error machines and licking their lips. Rudi Garcia has brought in plenty of depth in the summer in preparation for Europe. He pretty much has 2 capable players in every position. At the weekend Roma drew 2-2 with Sassuolo at the Olimpico. However several players were rested and understandably the players minds could have been on the English. Still, 0-2 down and with De Rossi shown a red in the 50' minute, they still managed to score twice and take a 2-2 result with Ljajic netting twice. Prior to that match Roma's home record was 7-0-0 For 18 Against 2. They have Totti, Gervinho, Iturbe, Destro, Florenzi all vying for a front 3 spot while they have some really decent midfielders in Nainggolan, De Rossi, Pjanic, Seydou Keita and Strootman. One area in this match where City will have it all over Roma is the keeper department. De Sanctis is a fraud and I don't understand why Roma paid money to get him from Napoli? Hart is a good enough keeper and he'll need to be as that Mangala (and De Michelis to a lesser extent) can really cause some managerial heart attacks. I've taken Roma +0 @ Matchbook 1.81 as they still qualify with a low scoring draw. But considering the horrifying injury list of the visitors, I fully expect them to go for the win and not expose themselves to any surprises. With the players available, and knowing how Roma are at home it's hard to picture them losing this. Also Kompany is City's Totti. The figure the team rallies behind and plays for. Without him, who will be their leader to drag them through the hard moments in the match? Nasri? :lol Totti is being used as Mr Champions League this season it seems. He has so much class he can score, assist and create danger out of nothing. A really valuable weapon I expect to make a mark here. 6. Re: Southampton v Manchester United > Monday December 8th I've taken Man U +0 @ 1.88 Matchbook earlier today. Just think Cork (high performing mid), Schneiderlin (best mid) and Alderweild (best defender) are too important. There was also talk that Tadic (most important attacker) was doubtful but I expect to see him in the 11. So while I can't trust Man United in defense, if you let a team like them have the lion's share of the midfield, then they will create plenty for RVP and a returning Rooney to feed off. Southampton got to their position mostly off the back of their defense as they are generally low scorers and Pele's mini drought doesn't help. And Alderwield (?) is SO important in that back line.

  7. Re: Japan j1 league 2014 Can't you feel a mauling coming for Vortis here? Beyond bad and wanting the nightmare to end they face the form team in the league needing a win to be champions? Considering the woeful stats of Tokushima :puke, would a 0-5 thrashing surprise? Australian book Sportsbet.com.au are offering 1.53 on Gamba -1.5

  8. Re: Serie A TIM > December 5th - 8th Juventus dropped points and Garcia has been quoted as saying he will field his strongest 11 tomorrow. Roma simply cannot let the opportunity slide at home to Sassuolo. Sassuolo are a good enough side to trouble the bigger sides, but when there's blood in the water and Roma can close the gap to 1 point, it makes it that much harder. Roma -1 AH @ 1.63 10bet ps away side have magnaelli out who is the stalwart central midfielder and captain for them

  9. Re: Newcastle United v Chelsea > Saturday December 6th Mourinho can afford to pay zero attention to the Champions League this week and focus fully on the 3 points. Matic is a loss but considering the Toon injury list, it's heavily lop-sided in Chelsea's favour. Mikel who was used to starting last season will be motivated to have a strong match to put himself in the conversation. Chelsea have been held in three of their last 6 away. But 2 of those were the Manchester clubs and the the lesson from Sunderland wouldn't have been lost on them. People argue that Newcastle have won their last 3 at home. But all were 1-0 scorelines and they beat OPR, Leicester and Liverpool. OPR away are 0-0-7, Leicester away are 1-0-6 and Liverpool (3-0-4) are strong candidates for relegation this season along with the other two. :loon Chelsea have 1st place in Europe locked in here, therefore can go full pelt, and this Newcastle defence without Krul, Collocini just coming back and a few others out will feel the power of Chelsea's attack here imo. Chelsea to win and possibly the - 1 AH as well. Good Luck :ok B4AyidTCUAAKJuI.jpg

  10. Re: Sunderland v Manchester City > Wednesday December 3rd Good call on the unders guys. Sunderland are the perfect team for this. This season they are the masters of avoiding defeat but also are low scorers so are the sort of side to grind out a draw. Home record is 1-5-1 which is evidence of this. Man City is the side to normally make me nervous with this type of bet, but as Simeon said, right now it's about professional performances and being efficient. Southampton would of taken some petrol out of them (as they didn't crack them until the 2nd half) and Pelligrini would sell his grandmother for a 0-1 win at Sunderland when they have a tough test against Everton at the weekend. That's why if City go ahead I think they go into game management mode rather then put on a show of force. They'll be very conscious of Kompany's absence and I can this them negotiating this one rather tightly. Sunderland offer very little goal threat but know how to hang in there and that's what I need here. Matchbook have the under 2.5 @ 2.42 and I have backed that with a view to lay it off in-play to avoid any unwanted late surprises. Best of luck! :ok

  11. Re: Australia > Hyundai A-League > 2014/15 Western Sydney Wanderers - Brisbane Roar WSW have yet to win a match this season but put in an awesome first half showing against their cross town rivals Sydney FC at the weekend running rampant for 45 mins but failing to convert a host of chances. I put the poor start down to the inevitable hangover from winning the Asian Champions League. A titanic achievement when you do the math. If they match last week's level in this catch up fixture on a Wednesday night, I feel quite confident of a home win. As always, the Asian Champions are solid at the back with Topor Stanley and Spiranovic shielded by the underrated La Rocca in central midfield. Going forward they have a true striker in Juric who is in form and the creativity of the cheeky Brazilian Saba who has the pass to pick Juric out and unlock the Brisbane defence. Not that they are hard to open as they've even put it into their own net a few times this season. Brisbane are in shocking form, however unlike the hosts, have no valid excuse. They lost their talisman striker Berisha to Melbourne (and scoring went down), then they sacked their long time coach Mulvey who won multiple titles with them just because of 5 bad matches which were the players' fault, and now they've lost their best player. Broich (attacking mid) is having surgery on an ankle injury and is out for 6 weeks. The Roar won 1 and lost 2 of their 3 away matches while the WSW have drawn all 3 at home. Brisbane's only road win was against a very poor Newcastle side. They were beaten at Melbourne and Perth and WSW are at least as good as those sides. WSW have drawn all 3 home matches but the performances are there and have been improving every match. The performance against Sydney was the best so far and a repeat against a Roar side with a new (inexperienced in this league) coach and without Broich and second keeper will go along way to getting that first win. The news on Broich absence only came out 2-3 hours ago so prices on Wanderers may firm. WSW @ 2.06 several books Good Luck

  12. Re: Serie A TIM > November 29th - December 1st Great call. I layed Napoli before the match and for 75 mins I was very comfortable as the home side looked in control. Sampdoria were very aggressive in defence and were consistently winning the ball back with great desire. It's just when they get in front of goal they're not efficient enough. Napoli were the opposite without the ball. Very relaxed and too layed back and happy to let the home side have the ball. After 30 mins some stats flashed up form memory it was.. Turnovers 2 - 10 and winning back possession 5 -1. So as you can see it was all about what they were doing without the ball and Sampdoria were vastly superior here. Behind the Napoli front 3 there isn't much to shout about! At half time (0-0) Napoli had drifted out sufficiently to back them and then put all my potential profit on the home win while the draw or away win would've returned zero profit/loss. Eder scored, great, then red card Napoli market suspended. Still, I noticed that all that hard work and industry that Samp showed during whole match was gone for some reason and they were sitting deep and letting 10 man Napoli onto them. In the 80 something minute I layed off the home win at a measly 1.09 to equalise profits on all 3 results (had a feeling it was coming) and wouldn't you know it, 80 mins of hard fighting flushed away by Samp with a cheap header gone unchecked. This match summed up the best and worst of Samp. How many chances to they need to kill a match?

  13. Re: Southampton v Manchester City > Sunday November 30th After reading every post in this thread I think the wisest choice is to watch the first 15 mins then take a position. I feel that one team will be sharp and the other flat but now I'm not so sure which will be which. These form lines and statistics can be the great deceivers of football betting. Sometimes your eyes are the best source of information.

  14. Re: Southampton v Manchester City > Sunday November 30th Agreed. If it took them that long to find an opportunity against Villa, then City aren't going to patiently wait for 90 mins. The one word to describe SH the other night was blunt. Hopefully city find some traction now and start gathering some momentum. An early goal can really rock the home side here. Another factor which I like to imagine is that the team who just played Bayern will (running uphill) will find this match far more comfortable than the team who has just played Villa (running down hill). Price demands a look in here.

  15. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 27th Feyenoord - Sevilla Laying Sevilla here @ 2.5 and may trade a profit out in-play regardless of outcome. The Dutch have significantly picked up since a very sloppy start to the season and have great home form both domestic and EL. They won both EL matches versus Rijeka and Standard at home and they've won their last 3 @ home in the Eredivise. Feyenoords last 5 home matches in all comps reads 4-0, 2-1, 2-0, 2-0, 2-0. So it seems they've addressed some defensive issues. Sevilla haven't won a Liga match since the 27th October and in EL they won both their home matches but importantly drew both their away games 2-2 in Croatia and 0-0 in Belgium. Added that they don't need a win here as a draw maintains the status quo of them being 2 point group leaders with them being able to secure that in Spain on match day 6 against Rijeka. Besides, after the 5-1 trouncing from Barca, they are still 5th with 23 points with Valencia only 1 point ahead in 4th, and that UCL spot I'd assume is way higher on the Emery's list than a win in Holland. They are at home to Granada at the weekend while Valencia have to host none other than Barca so it's a perfect opportunity for Sevilla to jump back into 4th. P.S Sevilla miss Iborra (ankle), and experienced defenders Navarro (foot), Trémoulinas (unspecified) Good Luck ! :ok

  16. Re: Shakhtar Donetsk v Athletic Bilbao > Tuesday November 25th It's not about advertising players for Valverde it's about keeping his job and picking his battles. Seeing the way BATE were pulverised by Shakhtar it's very likely Porto beat them to keep 1st position. So if Bilbao lose and Bate lose also. Then they just need to beat BATE at San Mames to go through. So the question for us is. Does he want to go and have a battle in the Ukraine? Or does he want to do the job in Spain vs a little team from Belarus?
