  1. PAOK are too short for me away at Slovan Liberec, Czech league has a higher UEFA coeficient than Greece (30.175 compared to 24.700), based on last season this is the 3rd best tem in Czech Republic v 4th best team in Greece, Liberecs match was postponed at the weekend to give them more time to prepare for this match

    Selection

    Slovan Liberec +0.50 @ 1.825 Bet365

  2. My first post of a selection for a while...

Interested to hear what people make of Fiorentina +0.25 at home to Napoli tomorrow...

I have 4 metrics for compiling my own odds, 3 of those metrics have Fiorentina as favourites and the other makes it a pickum, also a look back sees Fiorentina at their biggest price in thsi fixture in the last 5 years, in fact they went off favourites in those 5 years. Both sides are in very good form and have excellent home/ away records, I just think that the odds should be abit closer than they actually are.

From the team news I can find, Fiorentina have Zarate (7 apps 1 goal)  and Benalouane (not played all season) out whilst Napoli have a fully fit squad

  3. Re: Boxing - 8-9 Nov

Hopkins @ 5/2 for me. Watched a bit of Kovalev' date=' think he's absolutely made for Hopkins to systematically break down. Yes he's got power, but what else is he bringing to the table? Plods forward, slow, wide-open when throwing (especially to the body). Who exactly has he beat of any note? Hype job for me until he proves otherwise.[/quote'] I'll get my coat...

  5. Re: Arsenal v Burnley > Saturday November 1st My banker selection of the weekend in this match, Over 3.5 Cards at 6/5. All of Arsenal's Premier League matches this season have gone over this line, they have picked up atleast 2 cards in all home league matches this season, Burnley have picked up atleast 2 cards in 75% of their away matches. Recommended Bet Over 3.5 Cards @ 6/5 Bet365

  6. Re: Bundesliga > October 31st - November 2nd I've taken an alternative approach to tonights match, I like the look of Over 4.5 Cards at evens. 67% of Schalkes matches have gone over this line with 78% of Augburgs. Schalke have collected aleast 3 cards in 50% of their home fixtures whilst Augsburg are racking up atleast 2 cards per away match this season. Recommended Bet Over 4.5 Cards in Schalke v Augsburg @ 1/1 with Bet365

  7. Re: Serie A TIM > September 15th - 21st I can't have Sassuolo as favs at home to Sampdoria this afernoon, the hosts where thrashed 7-0 at Inter last week and will be without Berardi who contributed 16 goals and 9 assists in last seasons Serie A; he played a part in 58% of Sassuolos' 43 goals last season. My numbers have the home side at 5/2, draw 9/4 and Sampdoria 6/4. Recommended Bet Sampdoria to win @ 19/10 (Betvictor)

  8. Re: Ante-Post > Johnstones Paint Trophy 2014/15 The draw for the 2nd round was made on Saturday, i've had a look at the fixtures and I expect the teams at the top of the market to progress to the area quarter finals, I still like the look of MK Dons in this, drawn at home to AFC Wimbledon who i consider one of the poorest teams in the section, also this will be seen as a derby game so they won't want to lose this, throw into the mix the fact they've already beaten their rivals 3-1 this season and it's hard to resist the 14/1 still on offer. Recommended Bet MK Dons to Win the Johnstones Paint Trophy Outright - 14/1 @ Betvictor, Paddy Power Already advised;

  9. Re: Johnstones Paint Trophy > Tuesday September 2nd A few for tonight; Yeovil at home to Portsmouth is too big at 7/5, they have a few injuries (naming just 6 subs in 2 of last 3 matches) but I see this as a positive in that they haven't got much room to rotate the team, I expect Portsmouth to ring the changes. My numbers have Yeovil at 11/10 Draw 5/2 and Pompey 3/1. I also fancy Stevenage at home to Gillingham at 6/4. Stevenage manager Graham Westley believes his current squad have the potential to be the "best ever Stevenage team" and they could be boosted by having a few players return from injury. Gillingham boss Peter Taylor admits he will "make a few changes to get some fresh legs in", and although he insists they will take the competition seriously I expect them to have one eye on Friday's match at the Ricoh. My numbers have Stevenage 1/1 Draw 5/2 Gills 7/2 I'm prepared to take a chance on Morecmabe away at Fleetwood, I expect Fleetwood to make changes due to injuries and international call ups, with Morecambe abit more settled. I rate the Shrimps a 10/3 chance and have had a bit of the 4/1 on offer. My numbers don't have much between Scunthorpe and Chesterfield on paper and my tissue had the home side favourites at 6/5, the draw 5/2 and Chesterfield 11/4, the 9/5 about Scunny is too big. Recommended Bet Yeovil to beat Portsmouth @ 7/5 Betvictor, Boyles Stevenage to beat Gillingham @ 6/4 ladbrokes, Coral Morecambe to beat Fleetwood @ 4/1 Various Scunthorpe to beat Chesterfielf @ 9/5 Betvictor Already advised:

MK Dons to Win the Johnstones Paint Trophy Outright - 16/1 @ Skybet
  10. Re: Ante-Post > Carling Cup 2014/15 Winner Looking at last night's line ups Southampton look to be taking this competition seriously under new manager Ronald Koeman after naming a pretty much full strength line up. Betway stand out 33/1 about the Saints. Recommended Bet Southampton to Win the Capital One Cup Outright (Each Way) - 33/1 @ Betway

  11. Re: Ante-Post > Johnstones Paint Trophy 2014/15 This kicks off next midweek so I'll get the ball rolling.... This one will probably seem like I'm jumping on a bandwagon after last nights result but MK Dons are value for the Outright. Trends wise, in the last 10 years the finalists final league position of season was the following (please note I have ignored any points deductions); League One Automatic Promotion 1 Play Offs 2 Top Half 4 Bottom Half 3 Relegated 2 League Two Automatic Promotion 3 Play Offs 2 Top Half 1 Bottom 2 Relegated 0 So as a starting point I identified teams who in my opinion wouldn't be challenging for automatic promotion in League One but wouldn't be fighting relegation either. In my opinion MK Dons fit this criteria. The draw for the 2nd round has been made - MK Dons have a bye through to the next round. Due to the North/ South nature of the competition, in said next round there will be atleast 6 of the 16 teams will be from League Two, not taking into account any upsets. On my index ratings, the Dons are rated 5th in their section behind Peterborough, Bristol City, Leyton Orient & Yeovil. Peterborough and Leyton Orient will however meet in the 1st round whilst Yeovil have a tricky tie at home to Portsmouth, Bristol City also have a bye. It's also worth noting that I expect Bristol City & Leyton Orient to be battling it out over the league Championship and given only 1 automatically promoted side has won this competition in the last 10 years, I can happily take them on. Recommended Bet MK Dons to Win the Johnstones Paint Trophy Outright - 16/1 @ Skybet

  12. Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday August 23rd

Cardiff away at Wolves at 5/2. Cardiff where priced up at 7/4 away at Blackburn on the opening day but drifted to 12/5 due to injuries to their central defenders (back fit now as well as the newly acquired Sean Morrison (16 Prem games and 23 Championship games under his belt))' date= Blackburn are best price 18/1 for the title with Wolves best priced 25/1, on that principal alone Cardiff should be shorter than their opening quotes v Blackburn. Wolves have won 2 of their opening 3 matches; 1-0 v Norwich on the opening day – a game which was changed by a Norwich red card, lost 1-0 at fellow promoted team Rotherham – a match they arguably should have won and beat Fulham 1-0 at Craven Cottage midweek where both teams had 12 shots on goal. I have Cardiff as the 2nd best team in the division on my ratings with Wolves coming in in 9th place. On my prices I’d have Wolves 2/1 Draw 9/4 Cardiff 7/4.
Wolves 1-0 Cardiff so bet lost.
  13. Re: Aston Villa v Newcastle United > Saturday August 23rd

Sell the corners at 10.25, Spin have their midpoint at 10.50 whilst mine is 0.30 lower at 10.20. Aston Villa averaged 4.95 corners for and 5.21 against at Villa Park last season, Newcastle averaged 3.53 corners for and 5.79 against on their travels - I see no reason to expect that to change this season. It's worth noting that the fixed odds firms have their odds spot on.
    14 corners, bet lost.
