1. Re: Fulham v Tottenham Hotspur > Sat 1st December

yes tottenham have had a strings of few good results but i would not bet against fulham at home even though they got some injuries. their form is excellent and after several games of disapointing results they are due a win on saturday. i think they should have beaten chelsea on wednesday as they looked good going forward and created decent chances.
And I think they exactly have this feeling espacially when you look at Jol. They want that win and they will go for it at home and this will be made for Tottenham. They will just counter them out. Lennon and Bale are in tremendous form and Defoe is a good player to finish counters. Diarra looked dead tired vs. chelsea I cant imagine that he will start or bring a good performance saturday. His replacement Baird Im not so sure what he can bring to the pitch. A rather medicore player as are substitutes like Dejagah for fulham who has the pace but not much skill or oversight. Also Fulham has a big weakness with set pieces and with hangeland missing this only grows. Tottenham is on the other hand good with standards. I admit Im not as sure with Tottenham winning bets as with goals scored.
2. Re: Bundesliga > 27th Nov - 28th Nov

Several bets on this weekend's Bundesliga action have piqued my interest and I'd like to get some thoughts. 1) Leverkusen -1AH over Nuernberg, possibly more? - Leverkusen are smoking right now, sitting #2 in the table, having just decimated Bremen away and having previously beaten Bayern at the Allianz and having convincing beaten Schalke at home. While Nuernberg aren't the worst of the bottom table sides, they clearly struggle away and should be no match for the attacking ability of Kiessling, Schuerrle and the rest. 2) Freiburg 0AH or +.25AH over Augsburg - Freiburg, while certainly being a very tough home side, have been performing well both at home and on the road lately with wins over Hannover and Wolfsburg (away) and a draw at M'gladbach. Even after going down to 10 men early against Bayern on Wednesday, they still put in a strong performance and held Bayern at 1-0 until late. Against an Augsburg side that is really bad (0 wins in last 7), Freiburg should be able to pull out a win (or at least not lose). 3) M'gladbach +1.25AH or +1.5AH at Schalke - Schalke are reeling right now with 3 losses in their last 5, notably against lowly Hoffenheim and a depleted Hamburg side. Their attack has lost its ferocity and Huntelaar, Farfan and co. are not playing as they were early in the season. On the other hand, Gladbach who began the season poorly, have turned it around as of late and have recorded some nice victories over in-form Wolfsburg and Frankfurt and away to Hannover. Nevertheless, I realize Gladbach are nowhere near what they last year and still produce baffling results (draw at Augsburg). My thinking here is that Schalke will continue to struggle (not sure about status of Afellay) and most likely won't be able to destroy Gladbach. Any thoughts are more than welcome.
Freiburg misses key player caliguri also their defense is a bit low on players with diagne red card. If defender Krmas is again missing(no info yet) then they have a real selection problem as they play already a midfielder (flum) in defense Augsburg has Mölders as a striker back. Augsburg is fighting. Tough they are not a strong team at all as their table position reflects. Freiburg has the superior gameplan but Im not so sure if they can execute that without Caliguri. A draw or narrow augsburg win wouldnt surprise me. --------------- Leverkusen is very good organized and Nürnberg is expected to drop form away again. I m not sure about a bigger handicap as Leverkusen plays the same players for some weeks now. At the end of a 3 game week I dont think its value as a narrow win would be enough and nürnberg is expected to park the bus.(big margin win vs bremen was due to werders playing style) Also Nürnberg strong with standards. I think Leverkusen did not much more when 2:0 up at hoffenheim. 2 shots in 2nd half or something. Sure if nürnberg is tired also and leverkusen pushes at home then a 3:0 Leverkusen win seems probable. ---------- Gladbach and schalke is the game between two tired teams. Arango hit his genius switch again midweek. Schalke looks a bit over the place. They cant find the final pass at the moment with Affelay out. Gladbach looked really tired all the week while Schalke rested some players midweek. Gladbach was pressed by wolfsburg all the game and you could clearly see that gladbach had no fuel but somehow they managed 2 goals and didnt conceede one.. Odds are really bad and I cant find much value on schalke. Tough I wouldnt back Gladbach here. But I really fear arango.
3. Re: La Liga > 30th Nov - 3rd Dec

He was suspended, and returns this weekend. fgfl.jpg
Illara is suspended for real sociedad which seems like abig blow. Bergara who is a CMF too is injured. Zurutuza seems out of position and Pardo isnt in that good form given the stats. Sociedad beat malaga away from home but is otherwise one of the most awfull away teams in la liga it seems. I guess Malaga playing their first eleven very often in CL in full force was tired. Valencia is a strong home team. Vale lost the last two games to a griezman goal each. Griezman came back from 10 day injury and scored in copa during midweek. Soldado with a brace over a year ago. I nthe alst two games he didnt participate and the valencia squad looked weak for these games. I think feghouli is in great form and the gago banega partnership might dominate the depleted defensive midfield of real sociedad. Valencia already through in CL and as bayern is expected to win they might not have top prority at lille game only at wednesday. anyone a bit more into sociedad and how they will aproach the game?
4. Re: Serie A > 30th Nov - 2nd Dec Great details in this thread :ok What about Lazio roma? They absolutely thrashed Udinese. They looked terrific going forward tough udinese made it easy for them kind of. Klose looks super sharp. Gonzales terrific. Hernanes came into the game netting a great freekick. They played high speed football hungry for goals. Parma(didnt watch them yet) seem to struggle away sometimes while beeing a home fortress. Would love to get some expectations on parma.. Im not so sure about Parma and how they will approach this game.. It looks like they want to play with 3 at the abck. Tough Lazio crsuhed udineses abck three with konko going forward. So they might had a good training for that match vs. parma. Pabon and Galloppa absent. how important? Im tempted to take Lazio(again) on the hc-1 and Klose to score. Odds look tasty.

5. Re: West Ham v Chelsea > Sat 1st December Benitez is trying to stabilize them but the costs are that he looses points and we all know that 2 lost and one win is the same as 3 draws. I think he wants to stabilize and then build on that. So it is expected that he will have a similar gameplan again. Its awfull but its probably the only way to work it out as oscar hazard, mata and torres are useless in defense work. You can outscore your opponent only when you have a striker who nets at least every other game or a world class defence. Who lets not more then one in every game. Both are not in chelseas possesion. Im pretty sure that Benitez will clinch to a narrow lead. I think Im taking a gamble on the hcx, narrow win for chelsea cause west ham is capable of holding the game tight. Backing chelsea under evens in this situation doesnt look comfortable. 0:1 cs for chelsea? why not

6. Re: Bundesliga > 27th Nov - 28th Nov

FSV Mainz 05-Hannover 96 BTS 6/10 even Mainz conceded only 4 goals at home(2 BVB) i think we will see goals here both teams like offencive player.Specially Mainz at home play good.they missed many chances against BvB and i don't see problems for Mainz to score against weak defence like Hannover who usually concedes... Hannover 96 has good strikes able to score like Diouf,Ya Konan,Sobiech etc also Mainz defence isn't very very strong so i think BTS(over 1,5) should be ok Baumgartlinger is pout for Mainz, how important is him? Mainz:Wetklo - Pospech, Svensson, Noveski, Zabavnik - N. Müller, Polanski, Soto, Ivanschitz - Szalai, S. Parker Hannover:Zieler - Cherundolo, Eggimann, Haggui, Rausch - da Silva Pinto, C. Schulz - Stindl, Schlaudraff, Huszti - M. Diouf do you agree?
I agree. Mainz on a high after midweek win in frankfurt. Hannover probably without ya konan and abdellaoue which disminishes their attacking threat abit but Diouf is good to score too. Im still heavily laying the hannover defence. Eggiman had some problems and didnt train which fuels my suspicion that their central defence which made every game this season is running at some point out of gas. One thing worries me is that hannover isnt fucntioning that fluently going forward anymore tough they convert their chances. Baumgartlinger and Kirchhoff are out and both are big blows towards mainz defensive midfield. Polanski will come in and he didnt perform that good lately. Also Ivanschitz is a doubt which would be a big blow for mainz offense and the btts and overs as I then expect mainz to shut down making it hard for hannover who loves to have some space. Its a bit tricky cause fatigue on hannovers side could also lead to them not beeing that quick going forward. The over 2,5 and btts is my pick for thsi game too but I rather wait for tomorrows training news. Ivanschitz playing and eggiman struggling to play would give me confidence to back these bets with higher stakes.
7. Re: Manchester City v Everton > Sat 1st December

Hopefully Mancini will opt for width and drop Kolarov :lol But I agree in principle. I said all along that Everton would start to drift off after their great start, and they look like they're wilting to me. Just creating lots, not putting chances away, and purely giving goals to their opponent at the other end. This probably will follow the trend of more goals second half, as is the case with most City games. Everton will probably dig in and fade in the second half.
Zabaleta did good on this side and he might play him again as Maicon is in good form when he plays on the right. Tough Mancini rarely plays the same players on these positions again.. I think more important and im sure he will do that is to drop garcia who had not one good match at all. Toure dropping back to DM and Tevez or Nasri into the team. Im sure he will bring one of these options having rested them midweek. Im wondering what Everton will do with Baines out. I cant see a natural replacement. Neville out. Coleman doubtfull. Probably Heitinga who looked awfull this season. Cant imagine him vs. silva aguero or nasri on the flank. Also Pienaar seemed to get into some form altely but without his partner baines he might drop some ability to perform. Some problems for Everton. I can see City stopping Fellaini with Barry in form and Toure dropping deeper.
8. Re: Arsenal v Swansea City > Sat 1st December For me this is a clear arsenal win. With podolski back and wilshere coming back into the team and the option to play either ox or gervinho the options for wenger are great. I cant imagine him playing Ramsey on the wing again with these options. Arsenal had a bad spell cause many players where injured or coming back from injury. They seem settled and in the game emersed again. Espacially their defense with Sagna and Gibbs back from injurys having good playing time lately. They need these two fast full backs to have the right balance in their offensive play. Walcott looks very dangerous as he is threat for the goal more then ever. I think all these player coming back and raising their form since some games and playing together fit for some games will come down to this point with arsenal performing strong again hammering some opposition having alternatives on the bench. I feel they played very well vs everton which is a force at home. Swansea does very well but they didnt face strong opposition at all. They lost 2:0 vs stoke and Villa away from home and I can see the same result here again at least. They also had some luck vs. Liverpool and espacially southampton where they were domianted. With arsenal beeing kind of similar in playing style to Southampton I can see arsenal dominating swansea likewise but converting more chances. Arsenal to win @1,45 8/10 arsenal hc -1 @2,2 4/10 arsenal hc -2 2/10 Podolski to score.

9. Re: Manchester City v Everton > Sat 1st December Everton didnt play any top class team away from home yet. They lost at west brom 2:0. I think Everton is rife for a loss. They just couldnt take their chances vs. other teams and this will prove costly at some point. They miss too many chances. Now they face a City team that improved immensly at the back four. Kompany looks like regaining his form and Nastisic is performing very consistent getting better and better alongside Kompany. City was able to shuffle a bit vs wigan and ahd Nasri as Tevez not playing at all. Aguero had also only 70 minutes. I have a very confident feeling that Man city will prevent Everton of getting as many chances as of late. Barry seems to come back into form helping toure to give him some peace to go forward. Everton is leaking goals and now Baines seems to miss the clash. Man city have a wide array of players for selection offensivly. Silva looks good. Milner looks sharp. I think City is in an uptrend leaving behind their sluggish early season form. Man city has too much options upfront to test Everton one or the other way. Even Balotteli scored and looked lively vs. wigan. They are also impressiv in the late stages never giving up and always playing calm for the deciscive goal. I also think that manicni testing out some formations early in the season gives him some tactical options late on in the game. I think how he reacted to his team having problems with the 3 at the back of wigan was impressiv. The deepness of the squad with many players on the same level and Everton having some injury concerns and players just coming back I see them edging out Everton at some point in the game. Man city 1 @1,55 7/10 Man city hc -1 @2,6 4/10 ht draw ft city @4,25 (I think this is of big value and kind of secures the hc bet in a way while both could come in) 3/10

10. Re: Fulham v Tottenham Hotspur > Sat 1st December As some said this screams for over 2,5 goals. Fulham is eager to get a win, they tried it even at chelsea, and Tottenham can freely play for another 3 points. This will be another match that they will love to play as fulham wont sit back at home giving them some space. I see a palyre like Senderos having problems playing higher up the pitch while this is made for Defoe and and lennon. Tottenham is able to absolutely boss the midfield with the two ex fulham players + a strong Sandro and a good back up huddlestone while bryan ruiz is abig miss for fulham. Then Bale is in tremendous form and there is no sign he will slow down. Lennon I liked the last two matches too. Dempsey seems to settle in and he is a great combo with Dembele. I think that the price on tottenham is fantastic as they very much play for the win no matter the opponent. Tough their defense is always good for conceeding. Tottenham had some opportunity to bring fresh players or shuffle a bit while Fulham looks very tight on players at the end of this week. They also have more older players and for example Diarra looked tired vs. chelsea. They must feel good If Jol plays both petric and berbatov we might see over 3,5 goals. Not giving my bets as of yet but favoring: Tottenham not to loose combo material Tottenham to win espacially when Caulker plays again. over 2,5 and over 3,5 BTTS 10/10 espacially when Caulker does not play. I also hear dempsey is very motivated vs. his old club as he didnt felt appreciated(lol) maybe he can score where he knows the pitch.

11. Re: Reading v Manchester United > Sat 1st December Man u shuffles so much around in their squad. You never know whom Fergie will play. They played awfull boring football msot games. Then he brings on Hernandez and he scores. If he starts he is also awfull. What rescues Manu is just van persies sheer class and Hernandez ability to read a game from the bench. I think it was a big fault moving Rooney back. He is such a dangerous guy in the penalty area. Then we have young totally out of form. Is he bullied in the locker room or what? He looks absolutely weak and down. Then the defence seem not too tight. Welbeck out of form. Valenica injured. Scholes awfully slow together with carrick. I think other then their two strikers opponents dont **** their pants palying vs. them- This way I expect man u to draw some matches. This danger is very big as they wont turna rounde very match. Reading is just a mediocre side but they will give their all to deny man u. but then agian maybe im just mad cause man u destroyed a big accumulator not covering the hc -1 denying me some good units.. I think with the prices on Man u you can only loose on the long run. They will surely slip up again in december...

12. Re: Chelsea v Fulham > Wednesday 28th Nov I wouldnt go for under 2,5 as fulham is missing important defender hangeland and they conceede many goals. fulham is an attacking side and I think thats what they will fancy if they can here too. Chelsea must go for the win here as another draw vs. fulham would up the tension even more. The big variable of course is benitez. Will he say hold as long as you can nick one goal. doubt that. he played that cautiously cause the opponeent was man city and a big loos would have been a disaster. Chelsea has too much attacking talent for this Fulham defense who conceeds many goals while losing a key defender. Riether and senderos are not reliable vs pacy and tricky hazard, mata and Oscar. But well a 2:0 wouldnt be out of question. odds are nice but signs are not goood for under.

13. Re: Stoke City v Newcastle United > Wednesday 28th Nov

They still qualified though, didn't they? If we forget the Europa league for a minute, I was just trying to put forward a point questioning their apparent lack of confidence :ok I don't agree the wins over Rangers and Fulham were wholly convincing. When I watch Stoke it's almost as though they're having to force the win. But naturally, they do win on average six home games a season as favourites.
(paraphrased)Pardew himself said that they lack confidence as the regulars provide that confidence to the fringe players. He mentions that there is a difference in the pretension/entitlement to what they achieved last season and what they did this season. Also europe and premiere league are two totally different horses and newcastle concentrating very much on the EL cost them. I think, and pardew said that too, they were not fighting enough vs. southampton. the question is why? I think its cause they lack confidence, cause of not performing well, and lack of stamina from EL games. At stoke they need to either fight back and/or beat them technicaly. I think its a big question if they are capable of that. Stoke is confident cause their gameplan works and they can rely on that simple plan. I think that simple plan could work again vs newcastle cause newcastle isnt properly prepared for them at this moment in time. Well, still the risk is that Stoke doesnt convert or falls behind and isnt capable of getting 2 goals. Tough last time at home they created some good chances.
14. Re: Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool > Wednesday 28th Nov

This is the rumoured Liverpool team for tonight. Note this is NOT confirmed, however is from sources who have been right on a number of occassions this season, including with much changed line-ups in the Europa League. Reina Johnson Skrtel Agger Wisdom Allen Henderson Gerrard Enrique Sterling Suarez Would be concerned about the right-hand side with Sterling & Wisdom.
thanks why concerned? cause of inexperience?
15. Re: Manchester United v West Ham > Wednesday 28th Nov Mark noble out for west Ham. BIG blow. I fancy Manu to at last start with a lead and take some handicaps here as west ham wasnt tested very much away from hoem yet. Tough Tottenham already showed that they can be beaten by a margin. Im very confident in Man u as they did rest their players in cl oftena nd should have enough power for a good result. hc -2

16. Re: Wigan Athletic v Manchester City > Wednesday 28th Nov wigan has big defence problems. now Ramis is out too. Man city seems to tighten up at the back with nastaic kompany partnership getting better from game to game. Offensive potential is far greater since silva is back and I think man city fully concentrated on premier league has far too much for Wigan. I go with the hc -1 in this one.

17. Re: Stoke City v Newcastle United > Wednesday 28th Nov Wow. Ok. A physical on top of its game Stoke side at home under floodlights, second game in a row at home vs, a Newcastle side depleted due to their schedule, tired and second game away from home in a row. Newcastle must be very down and Stoke very high. I cant see stoke not giving their all or being overconfident. Its just too clear of an outcome that Im wondering if it can be true. I just cant imagine Newcastle suddenly stepping up their game. They will at some point look for their next home game hoping some players come back. I will bet heavily on Stoke not to loose and to win this game. This I will cover with Ba to score as he seems to be the only threat, scoring last year out.

18. Re: Everton v Arsenal > Wednesday 28th Nov This should be a great game and for me bet of the week is Both teams to score + punts on overs. Arsenal does struggle vs. opposition that defends well all over the pitch. They are not able to pin opponents to the penalty area like in the past. They love to play vs. teams who are not shy of attacking offering them some space. And this is exactly what Everton is. Everton had some unsatisfiying results lately and will be keen to win this game. They welcome back Fellaini who is very improtant for their offensive threat. The problem of Everton was that they dont convert the many chances they create. Tough not converting is better then creating no chances at all. I think Everton will give high motivation and pace to this game with arsenal not shy to do the same. Evertons big problem is their defence and I cant see how this will get better. Coleman, distin, heitinga and jagelkia are out of form and are expected to have each a blunder in every game. Everton conceeds in every game. Arsenal talks about how their defence improved...well, they conceed vs. every opponenet that has a decent offense. I also can see the last weeks taking abit of a toll on arsenal. They pretty much played the same guys every game espacially in central defence and midfield. Only gibbs and sagna brought some freshness into the team. I expect that this game will be stretched at some point giving space to both teams. Walcott might be avaialble again. Both teams are out and in need for a win and both teams have their potential in the attack. Both teams are often shaky in the defense. I would love to take the big price on arsenal but it woudl jsut be on value but not on confidence as this coudl also end with everton taking their chances and arsenal being tired after the last weeks. Instead I go all out for goals as the odds are very good which is due to arsenal drawing vs. teams only sitting back. over 2,5 @1,74 6/10 over 3,5 @2,6 3/10 btts @1,6 10/10 (local bookie)

19. Re: Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool > Wednesday 28th Nov

Under 2.5 @ 2.05 pinnacle Spurs have been scoring and conceding goals and though they will like their chances of scoring here, without Adebayor, then too much rests on Bale and Defoe to score. Expect Liverpool to play Johnson on the right to contain the pace of Bale and then have Enrique move to the left, and can see them keeping Spurs in check as they have four clean sheets in their last seven games while they have conceded four goals in the other three games.
Bale and Defoe are in form and Dempsey can score too. Keep in mind that Bale is a free moving player. I can see Spurs giving them a hard time with their fluent offense. Im not so sure if Liverpool can maintain their ball possesion game here with tottenham expected to pressure early(it was fantastic vs. arsenal until red card)
20. Re: Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool > Wednesday 28th Nov I have a feeling that this is a game for Tottenham to take. Yes, Liverpool is unebaten for some games but on the other hand they rarely had a really good game away from home. They are wasting chances and their midfield looks slow. I think Tottenham will pressure them early on. Tottenhams performance last time out was really good vs. West Ham. Also in the other games vs. stronger opposition they did everything to compete Their offence looks threatening. They scored vs. everyone. Vs. Wigan they were just awfull and this is expected in some games from tottenham every season vs. lower opposition. Liverpool doesnt look very fresh. Gerrard looks tired and is now past his prime and these games midweek weekend take a toll on him. Liverpool had rather weak opposition the last weeks out(including a week chelsea). I think their style of play holding to the ball without much creativity will cost them vs. spurs. They dont have what it takes to win games reguarly. Spurs will welcome back Dembele who will get probably even more playing time. Bale and defoe look terrific and they are expected to repeat such performances giving the other palyers opportunity to shine. I just feel that Tottenham is ripe to get a win vs. a very one dimensional Liverpool side. The only big threat that yo ucan count on every game from pool is Suarez while other players like sterling are not expected to deliver in each adn every game. last season: [h=3]Steven Caulker[/h] Never looked flustered against the tricky Suarez. Made several blocks in the box and refused to allow the Uruguayan to put the ball through his legs despite numerous attempts. ________________________ Gives me confidence that Suarez might have an off game Tottenham to win @ 2,4 5/10 Ht draw / Ft tottenham @5,6 2/10

21. Re: Bundesliga > 27th Nov - 28th Nov

This morning I bet on all 3 of your tips. They all ended up to be no-win bets. I will never take in consideration any future tips of yours. If we were to consider "Dortmund to be a clear win" it would be the 4th no-win bet.

Hamburger 3 - 1 Schalke

Frankfurt 1 - 3 Mainz

Hannover 2 - 0 Furth

Dortmund 1 - 1 Dusseldorf

LOOOOOSER! I lost on BVB too but the above is pathetic. did you bet your house, wife or heart?
22. Re: Bundesliga > 27th Nov - 28th Nov

Isn't there some value the other way round? Dortmund just seem too short at 1.15 Dusseldorf +1 AH is 2.38 with Pinnacle Dortmund score a lot of goals but Dusseldorf have not lost an away game by more than one goal. At these odds I would have thought there is a bit more value backing Dusseldorf.
whole central defense misisng for d dorf. right back too. only 3 defenders available. all about bvb motivation(sunday vs. bayern!). bvb surely can beat the hc -1. wouldnt trust d dorf defense at all.. coudl also end 4:0 3:1
23. Re: Everton v Norwich City > Saturday 24th November

Guys don't be naive. Bookies knows fellaini is missing but still fancy everton to win this for one good reason: EVERTON SQUAD HAVE LOT MORE QUALITIES THAN POOR TRAVELLING NORWICH SIDEpick everton to win 2-1.
Its also about odds. Everton has some important missings. They won only one in the last 6 games and drew 4! So why should they win today when their two most improtant players are missing? Is Naismith able to produce stable performances and take responsibility in this game? Is Jelavic in goalscoring form? will mirallas be fit? Is gibson fit to play 90 minutes? What happened last season in the same game between these two? Are you a winning punter?
24. Re: Aston Villa v Arsenal > Saturday 24th November

you know I checked the stats and indeed they show AV were poor at home to United yet when I watched MOTD i had an impression AV outplayed United in the first half at least so I'm not so confident anymore, but the bet is placed and I hope it wins :) cheers
Villa ran their lungs out and Man u(scholes) just passed right left without any ideas. Then villa got some counter chances due to lack of concentration by man u. Second half Hernandez came on and beat a dead tired aston villa team who dropped to deep. Villa certainly can make life hard for arsenal if they outwork them. Tough I wouldnt bet on them as they are just a mediocre side. For me it depends all on Arsenal and how they cope with their fitness. They are in an uptrend while aston villa is in a slump.
