Re: best bet of the day 2nd march
2:00 Navan COURAGE was fairly useful on the flat for Sir Michael Stout and produced a Good effort first time up over timber. very keen early on he did finish well and not knocked about.plenty of improvement should be expected especially now on better ground. courage wears a hood also after hanging to his left last time and this should also help. Main danger Call Me Bubbles does not look like a natural and although from a top yard this horse could give some value towards courage. Stood at 2nd fav tonight in tissue at 5/2, look to get on early as his betting could easily flip flop.

Re: Jump Racing Thursday 28th Feb I did jump up when venture capital fell at last because it was a first for me. I am usually on the one that falls. I felt bad afterwards when I learned that the fall had been fatal.

Re: BBOTD Thursday 28th February 3:55 Thurles BRIGHT NEW DAWN ran behind champagne fever last time out in the Grade 1 Deloitte novice hurdle. It was a really good effort and it goes to show that progression is still very much on the cards. Showing two good placed efforts in grade 1s the last twice bright new dawn should take some beating today dropping down in grade before taking up grade 1 entries again at the Cheltenham Festival. Re: Jump Racing > Sunday 24th February 4:10 Naas DAYS HOTEL can get back on track here. He made a real ash of the 3rd last fence last time out after keeping on really well. This mistake finished the race for days hotel picking a injury up along the way. Already a better chaser than a hurdler he is also better over 2m giving him real claims on sunday. Days Hotel was progressing nicely before and if he carries no scars he should take all the beating. Best Price 5/4 stanjames, paddy power (a bit skinny)

From a family of top-class chaser Strong Promise, he performed a real class display with good horse mad brian destroyed and unseating a very tierd horse. With this been defy logic's only 2nd outing over hurdles surely there will be plenty more to come from him, and he has the raw ability to go to the top. Sundays event will be a lot tougher with the likes of Annie Power and Don Cossack, but i recon that all things been equal Defy Logic is capable of giving this field a good spanking. Best Price this evening 7/4 Boylesport, Paddy Power, BetVictor this is good value as if he performs like he should this price is way to big.

Cant understand at this moment why Davy Russell has opposed quito de la roque for roi du mee when on the form book it looks hard for him to turn the tables. Trainer Colm Murphy said after the race that he has been slow to come to hand this season with niggling problems, but has got back on track. He was very dominant last time out and galloped his rivals into submission. With his next intended engagement been the Gold Cup or Grand National he is a very intresting runner in this Grade 2 event and with the step back up in trip in favour, quito de la roque can make the best of this race. Best price this evening 3/1 BetVictor.

Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday 23rd Feb 1:30 Fairyhouse GLENS MELODY is a horse that has had trouble in the jumping department, but swept this aside last time with a improved and classy display. Willie Mullins has a lot of good mares this season and glens melody is no exception. impressive winner of 3 bumpers last year she looked like she was destined to go on to better things, and although she has been slow to come to hand over timber it would appear that her troubles may have been ironed out. with race fitness and a return to 20F expected to suit, glens melody can take all the beating here and build on this. best price this evening 11/10 paddy power.

Re: BBOTD Thursday 21st Feb 3:25 Clonmel BLAZING SONNET has let down her supporters on more than one occasion, but is improving steadly. She has gone up 18LB in her last 4 runs in Handicaps, running really well last time at Leopardstown to suggest that this maiden race should be well in her capability. Trainer Willy Austin appears to have is small string about right and although Jockey Jane Mangan is 0/7 last 14 days she has done little wrong. Best price this morning 6/4 bet365. This mare could drift giving value with bigger stables having runners.

Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday Feb 8th 2:45 Leopardstown TEXAS JACK is a improving horse over fences. patiently ridden by paul carberry last time he crept nicely into the race, jumping well and stayed on to take up the running 150yd out. texas jacks trainer Noel Mead has said that this fella will probably not be going to cheltenham, but has plans to run him in the power gold cup. Texas jack has the ability and improvement to go forward for such a race and with plenty of value about him tomorrow best price 11/2 betvictor paddy power, he is worth a small bet in a interesting race.

1:20 Punchestown a chance taken here on NED BUNTLINE. Further improvement looks to be on the cards after getting firmly back on track last time with a classy display. Ned Buntline remains a exciting prospect and jumped stylishly and won well from urano (another good horse) by 2L. Favorite Don Cossack showed chinks in his armour last time out and with these been exposed the champion jockey can play this race to his strengths. First time up for AP and plenty of improvement assured with Noel Meade saying this is the best we have had for a while, he looks to have value about him taking the sword to Don Cossack. best price 7/2 betvictor.

12:25 Leopardstown SOME ARTICLE is a decent sort and can only improve over timber with his first run under his belt. winner of the land rover Bumper at Punchestown last spring on his debut, he couldn't have been more impressive. He was described as been babyish and will improve with time physically and mentally. His debut run over hurdles behind un atout wasn't a bad run and he looked like he needed it, jumping well and staying on nicely at the end of the race. Tony McCoy is in the plate today and he was at his very best yesterday. Re: Cheltenham 2012-13 season Bad day today. system was not as good as it could have been. 2:25 race Argento chase. 4 selections and a distant 3rd to stare into my glass with. poor ground today but system horses that dont take ground into consideration have to take it on chin. 9 selections today 2 winners at SP now showing a loss of -3.7 for season at my reckoning...? would have been a little better taking the prices something else to consider next time around.

He won a strong maiden chase last month and won again last time over hurdles, that represents a good horse in good form and with improvement assured from this fella he can show a hand in this race. Dessie Hughes was keen to send him over hurdles again but as decided to go for this good pot. best price 12/1 totesport / betfred he his a good E/W horse.

They meet again here today to cross swords and the Willie Mullins inmate is fancied to come out on top again. Re: cheltenham chat thread 2013 Anyone know any betting for abandoned due to frost. early warning for cheltenham week is around -6 for the yorkshire region. Cheltenham quite a few miles away i know but the weather at moment is expected to blow in from the east bringing a sharp drop in temperatures for the UK. These are just eary warnings and could change but worth a bet if theres a bit of value about.
