Josef Kovalik - Dominic Thiem 10.00 Matchbook

I can't believe to see such odds. Thiem is on fire so far this season, but he is probably the player with most matches of the entire tour - 24 with 9 more on doubles for two and a half months. If he continue with this pace he will pass 100 matches for a year. The problem for the Austrian will be also the change of time zones. He was in Mexico two weeks ago, then returned to Europe for Davis cup now once again he is in America. Traveling, playing and all the other stuff surrounding a pro player will take their tax. Not sure if Kovalik will be the man to stop Thiem, but with this odds I would like to take him. Josef knows the conditions very well already winning three matches. He is capable of stunning big odds players like he did with Delbonis last year.

Fratangelo (+1.5 sets) vs Djokovic 10.44 Pinnacle

Another very long shot, but there is some sense on it. Fratangelo is serving solidly here and won very easy his three matches .He managed to break several times good serve players as Gabiashvili and Stepanek. Nole is from another planet, but there were some weaknesses in his game during Davis cup clashes. Probably he is better now, but it will be his first match in the tourament and in the past he gave a lot of sets in his matches at IW to the guys like Alejandro Gonzales, who is from Fratangelo's level.

Alertova started very strongly here. She made great start here and is capable to stun some favorites.Allertova was very competitive in her losses from Shvedova and Svitolina in Dubai and Doha.
After her win in Melbourne Kerber wasn't so active. She returned in Doha to be beaten in the very first round. During the last few days she's got a lot of advertising tasks. She went to Addidas then to Porsche. In the last two years she lost in the very first match.

Back Martin Klizan to beat Fernando Verdasco for a 7/10 stake at 1.90 with Paddy Power
Back Benoit Paire to beat Adrian Mannarino for a 7/10 stake at 1.85 with BetVictor
Back Philipp Kohlschreiber (-4.5) to beat Denis Kudla for a 7/10 stake at 2.10 with Paddy Power
These three for me tomorrow, fancy both Paire and Klizan to show their better sides now that we're in a tournament that really matters, while Kohlschreiber should also have it quite easy against Kudla, who's a level or two below the German in my opinion.

    Mahut - Gasquet 4.9 Matchbook

Mahut once again is playing his best tennis. The surface will suit him very well and he started with super convincing win over Olivo, who did it pretty well in South America earlier in the season. H2H is for Gasquet, but the favorite recently has once again problems with injuries. He also participate on Davis Cup tournament, which was on clay and the switch to hard may cause some problems. Richar lost here last year by Berrer in his very first match.

Yaroslava Shvedova to beat Lucie Safarova for a 7/10 stake at 1.80 with Paddypower
Safarova has'nt played mutch tennis since she reached the Roland garros final last season because of injury and illnes and is surely a bit rusty. Shvedova has a good record against Safarova . They have met twice and Shvedova won both on hardcourt. Last time was in Australian open where the match went to a decider which Shvedova won by 8-6. She has a good chance of winning this I think so Shvedova for the win.

Back Andrey Kuznetsov to beat Jeremy Chardy for a 7/10 stake at 1.90 with Paddy Power
Del Potro still far from his best, Berdych should be way too strong for him in the end. Kuznetsov beat Chardy 3-0 in Melbourne and the Frenchman hasn't really improved since, while Kyrgios should just crush Ramos given his current form and everything.

Estrella Burgos - Muller 5.3 Matchbook

Muller was beaten several times by outsiders this season. He is depending mainly on his serve. I saw Burgos photos from the last few days and he looks very pumped for this tournament. He also has nice serve game and is very fast. Muller lost his first match at IW two years in a row. Muller is better on hard, but I would never give such odds for Burgos.

Matwe Middelkoop - Elias Ymer 4.67 Pinnacle

The Dutch doubles specialist is doing great so far in the tournament. It wasn't expected for him to reach such level, but he is playing better and better in each match. Despite being a clay court specialist during all his career he did it very well on indoor taking the doubles title in ATP 250 Sofia this year. Ymer is great talent, but as every young kid on the tour he is vulnerable to be beaten by outsiders. I am not impressed by him so far this season. Adding the fact that his weapons are better suited on clay maybe we've git a nice value here.

Back Mikhail Youzhny to beat Aljaz Bedene for a 7/10 stake at 2.00 with Unibet
Fancy both Millot and Youzhny tomorrow in Indian Wells. The former is much better than McDonald, who's yet to really get going in this season and who should find it tough to play against a very solid guy. As for Youzhny - he's done much more than Bedene in this season and the Jaziri result looked like a fluke to me, so I'd actually have him - not Bedene - as the slight favourite.

Back Who Will Go the Furthest? - Carla Suarez-Navarro (vs. Ana Ivanovic) for a 7/10 stake at 1.57 with Bet365
Leaving Jonkoping alone with a guaranteed profit (Lamasine and Elias!), as the Indian Wells event is finally here! Hibino looks like the value pick to me in the first round, Davis could be the ideal match-up for her really. I'll also be taking Williams on the outright at odds this big, especially given her affair with the Indian Wells tournament, while I also fancy Radwanska and Suarez-Navarro to go further than Kerber and Ivanovic.

Awful day. Mmoh is fighting like a tiger, hope he will do it. One last from tonigh's qualifiers

    Escobedo - Roger-Vassilen 4.23 Pinnacle

Escobedo is typical hard court player. He stunned some better ranked guys on challenger tournaments and now this is his chance to make a big move to masters event. Roger-Vassilen is a quality veteran, but his season he already was stunned several times. He is with two losses in a row and didn't play as well as we used to see him. Nice odds for Escobedo. I am pretty sure it will not be so easy for Roger-Vassilen.

After one of my worst ever prediction in the match of Silva Dutra and Linzer here is one prediction for Men qualifications at IW:

    Mmoh - Smyczek 4.19 Pinnacle

Mmoh showed very nice skills in Memphis beating in qualifiers Fratanjelo and Novikov. The guy has a talent and was stopped by Fitz. This is his next competition after Memphis so I am sure he will come fully prepared to make some more impact. Smyczek is in great form this season, but he is vulnerable against first/second round outsiders. I think here it will be a battle of serving. Mmoh is not a typical ace guy, but he is directing very well and has high percent of 1st serve's winning points.

Back Gastao Elias to beat Norbert Gombos for a 7/10 stake at 2.00 with Paddy Power
Taking two more over in Sweden at odds against. Lamasine seems to have improved a lot while Albot was hardly convincing in the Davis Cup and even before that, so the Frenchman should have a very decent chance. Meanwhile, Elias has been tremendous since the start of the season and he looks set to break into the top 100 in this season, so I can't have him as the underdog against Gombos, who hasn't played since injuring himself during the Aussie Open qualifiers.

    Wozniak - Bertens 3.39 Pinnacle

Wozniak showed some prominent results in the warm up of IW. She won many matches at future level, which will give her some self confidence. The most important is that she started very strongly in the first round qualifiers beating extremely easy talented Ana Konjuh. The Canadian had some good memories from the tournament. Two years ago she reached the fourth round.
Bertens is unpredictable and she needed to come back from behind to beat Duan. The odds must be around 2.5/2.75 for Wozniak so I am taking the chance.

    Karatancheva - Sasnovich 2.41 Pinnacle

Both didn't impress so far this season, but the Bulgarian was very close to score an win over Sevastova, who in her next match almost beat in form Bouchard. On the other hand Sasnovich's only valuable win this season is against Rodina (1/6 in 2016). Karatancheva has a lot of points to defend in IW. She reached the second round in 2015 with nice wins over Buykakcay, Parmentier and Pironkova. Easy bet here for me with some wrong odds by the bookies.

    Heater Watson/Kirsten Flipkens over 2.5 sets for a 7/10 stake at 2.25 with Bet365
This is quite sure to be an even contest. Flipkens leads the head to head 2-0 but their last one went the distance 6-3 1-6 7-6 and I expect the same this time also since both are playing really well this tournament. Watson is like a wall getting everything back but she will face her hardest match in this tournament here and could defenitely be forced to play three sets. Not very easy to be sure about who is going to win so this is the best pick for me.

Back Markus Eriksson to beat Jan-Lennard Struff for a 3/10 stake at 8.50 with Bet365
There's a bit of a break now given that Indian Wells is still a few days away, so this is what I'll be going for to kick off the week. Nedovyesov should be tired - both physically and mentally - after the epic Davis Cup clash, while I also fancy Eriksson at odds this massive. Could end in a disaster, of course, but worth a shot at 8.50 imo, as Struff hasn't been too impressive recently.
