  1. Re: Cricket: Friends Provident Twenty 20 Derbyshire did the business for me with the 6's bet last night - I was gutted with the Peterson bet though as will hill didn't give me the each way option! He came so close with his not out! Glad to see mighty Somerset let off the shackles! Well pollard!!! I completely agree with your match summarys and have both those matches as 2 point bets - I have also gone with; Durham, Surrey, notts - treble - odds of nearly 11/2 will hill - 1 point I lkie a little side bet - feel confident that Surrey will come good despite their mauling earlier in the week, davies is a player I really rate and combined with ramps, afzaal (who drives me mad) symonds and rhb - they have some good talent - combined with a balanced attack with schofield, spriegel spinning and dernbach and nel pace options - Essex too look strong but I back Surrey to come good. Durham have a really strong all round team and could destroy yorks attack , whilst worcs should be way to weak for notts! Aftertiming I know but I had a Somerset, Sussex, warks treble in last night at odds of just over 4/1 d.hussey top notts bat - 3/1 1 point I rate this guy and think he will be a great leader fir notts in t20 - my only concern is his batting position , but all should become clear soon - I'm hoping he comes in at 3/4 which should give him enough time at the crease.

  2. Re: Cricket: Friends Provident Twenty 20 Goodluck with those bets keV! I agree with the pieterson shout- great value there! don't think langevelt is playing - so rogers will prob play! As a Somerset fan, let's hope they turn up tonight! Didn't bat well aganist Sussex but we have a potent batting lineup with pollard joining I hope Compton is dropped for him - then ur looking at a top 6 of tresco, kieswetter, pollard, de bruyn, hildreth and buttler with trego in at 7!!! Nice! Having sad that surreys top 6 on pape looked good yesterday - I lost money on that one as well! One extra bet for me- Derbyshire most 6's - hills 5/4 - 3 points derby have been hitting 6s for fun with most of their top order hitting some in previous matches - warks, on the other hand will rely on boundaries with the likes of chopra, troughtonand even bell. Not known for explosive hitting! This is a stand out be for me hencea 3point bet !

  3. Re: Cricket: West Indies vs South Africa - ODI Series & Twenty20 Internationals Long time no see fellas! Congrats on your bets everyone! 5th ODI - Under 45.5 boundaries 3points 5/6 will hill The weather is forecast for thundery showers so fair chance of a shortened match. Nothing to play for in this match and Windies are in utter disarray. There were 45 boundaries on a very good wicket in the last match (not here at Port of Spain) where both teams hit 300+ runs! Taking into account a) it's a dead rubber b) slow wicket c) weather d) high chance of less than 300 runs being scored here - I'm very happy to take the unders!

  4. Re: Cricket: Indian Premier League 2010 Gone for one other - .5pt Amit Paunikar top Royals batsman @ 11/2 skybet For no other reason than "Amit reminds me of Aravinda de Silva," Warne speaking at the toss. He's down to bat 3/4, and with Watson, Lumb, Ohja and Pathan all 4/1 and under, it's a decent price if he is indeed anywhere near the little legend Aravinda!!!

  5. Re: Cricket: Indian Premier League 2010 Found one!!! :nana Kohli top RCB batsman @ 15/2 Bluesquare - 1 point He should bat at 3-5 in the order, if RCB bat first I really can't see Dravid batting higher than him even though he has been in great touch of late. Kohli is a potential prince of Indian cricket and has been in good form in this IPL. He, like Uthappa and others in the RCB batting order have had to almost give their wickets away in matches in pursuit of quick runs, due to the relatively short time spent at the crease due to the excellent form of Kallis. Kohli is 3rd in RCB batting records this season, scoring his 247 runs at an average of 30.87 with a healthy strike rate of 147. Kallis is streets ahead, but at 9/4 there is no value here. Uthappa who is 2nd has scored 318 runs but has batted an extra innings to Kohli averaging 35.33 helped by a not out sc ore of 68. I just think 15/2 is a big price for the 3rd highest run scorer for RCB, when his peers like kallis 9/4, Pieterson 4/1 and Uthappa are 5/1. :drums

  6. Re: Cricket: Indian Premier League 2010 I'm glad you said that - have looked at the markets 3 times now and just can't pick a bet out. The lines all look fair and nothing is jumping out - even the top run scorers look in proportion. Think i will just kick back and watch this one and look for an in running opportunity. Good luck with Uthappa! Great player!

  7. Re: Cricket: Indian Premier League 2010 KKR to hit over 51.5 runs - 5 pts - 5/6 skybet As Kev has already alluded to, this pitch should have plenty of runs in it, with boundaries relatively easy to come by. This total should be well within the reaches of Gayle, McCullum and Ganguly who won the toss and chose to bat. The pitch is due to turn so they will want early runs on the board. Albie Morkel also returns for CSK who has been very expensive with the ball and hopefully Gayle will have the opportunity to take him apart. Skybet priced up Mumbai to hit 50.5 runs in the previous match and there is no comparison between the scoring potential of Mumbai and KKR in the first 6 overs. Likewise this ground is much higher scoring than the BS Mumbai stadium. The line looks low so i'm lumping on :hope

  8. Re: Cricket: Indian Premier League 2010 I agree with you kev about AB - why play him? (thats a half century guarenteed for him now ;0) I can see they are shoring up the batting a little but Dilshan surely is the man - he is an amazing batsman who played lower down the order early in is career and can bowl handy spin if required! A puzzler for me when you aready have Collingwood who can play that role - imagaine a top 4 of Warner, Sehwag, Gambhir, Dilshan, backed up by Colly and Mishra -ooooooooooohhhhhh!

  9. Re: Cricket: Indian Premier League 2010 I agree with you Kev on the Delhi bet and will feel even more confident if they rest Malinga who is extremely hard to hit for 6's with his slingy trajectory. 2 other bets Over 1.5 run outs - Mumbai v Delhi - 2points @ 5.6 For same reason as yesterday, at the business end of the season, pressure, desperation for runs and the vociferous crowds will hopefully lead to run outs. Add to that Delhi's woeful running between the wickets recently (although i'm sure they will be extra careful today!) . Over 8.5 sixes - skybet 8/11 - 4 points Out of the 5 games at the BS stadium, 3 have cleared this line. However there are 2 factors which make me feel confident today. 1. Delhi!!!!! Warner, Sehwag, Gambhir, Colly, Mishra and Jadev can clear the ropes for fun! If they rest an overseas player add Dilshan to the list. They need to fire today otherwise their place in the top 4 is in jeopardy. 2. There is no real pressure on Mumbai today so they can let the shackles off a bit andwith players like Dhawan, Jayasuria, Pollard, Bravo, Rayaddin, and the long haired fella (can't remember his name) they have big possibilites - even Sachin hit some 6's in the lsat match. add to that Mumbai resting a key bowler and you have potentially fireworks. Warner or Sehwag or Pollard could clear this line alone - hopefully it will be Delhi batsman for reasons mentioned above!

  10. Re: Cricket: Indian Premier League 2010 On a separate note, following on from Aldric, I've been spotting how much an average T20 match swings and the odds are jumping about all over the place - there is definatley arb potential - i've done a few when a team is 2/1 and then greened out again at 2/1 when they have swung back. Westy spotted it as well when he had a team at 7/1 when that price was too big! Does anyone else trade in t20 games?

  11. Re: Cricket: Indian Premier League 2010 Not sure about stats Perry, but I reckon it's worth looking into - 11/2 looks like healthy odds! Got lucky with the run outs - ironically having wished Dravid and Kallis to get out to enable the 6's bet to have a chance I thought that stood the best chance... however they threw it away a bit! I agree Uthappa was looking good, I just think Kallis batted so slowly it put pressure on Kohli,Robbie, and White to go for big shots that ween't there to be played so early. Good work on Harris as well - never in doubt after his cameo with the bat. I'm looking forward to Delhi v Mumbai tomorrow!
