He is the main man up front tonight, a role he never usually plays because of Torres and N'gog. I think Liverpool will try to put on a show tonight, and play themselves back into form. 9/1 looks ridiculously big for Liverpools striker at home to a below strength Fiorentina.

I think they have a info box sometimes explaining the bet. looks like they have forgotten this time. Dhoni at +30 could so easily be covered with the bat alone as he is in form....looking at the catches/stumpings you'd have to regard them as a bonus as opposed to expecting them (purely stat's driven). 30 just seems really low ....

    Re: Cricket: India V Sri Lanka T20i & ODIs I looked at Ani's reasoning behind the performance bets and it sounded so simple that i was going to lump on (Sangakara and Dhoni); then i did a quick search on cricinfo to look at twenty20 international stat's. There is surprisingly some things that come out of it. Dhoni = 18 matches, 5 catches, 2 stumpings and averages 23.15 with the bat (High score 45) Sangakara = 18 matches as well, 9 catches, 7 stumpings and averages 29 with the bat (HS 69) I was shocked by Dhoni with only 5 catches and 2 stumpings; he's such an awesome player that he could easily cover this, especially as he bats at 4 usually. However i will lean on the stat's and leave this bet alone. Sangakarra however I'm on - bats at 3 (usually responsibly after he openers have blitzed) and with his superior fielding record I think this is a good bet. Good luck all - more to follow.

    Cheers hapygooner:) hopefully will get the 90% although there are 2 variants in my favour a) the 8 matches so far have had a combined percentage chance of 84 % - so realistically i'm looking for closer to an 8 in 10 strike rate b) i've taken some much bigger prices than expeccted on some selections, so even if i lose one out of the next 2 bets, i will still scrape a small profit (let's hope for 2 winners though) cheers for the interest:ok

I defo think there is mileage in recent form as well (if so then Liverpool would n't have been a selection ;) ) I may well add to it as the system progresses. Found a big value bet for today. Bet 9. Beira Mar v Gil Vicente (portugal 2) +1.5 = 10 points @ 1.54 (78%) :drums

Off to bed now - good luck with the remaining bets guys. Mixed match for me - 5 wickets bet and Clarke were losers, but the I'm shocked to say the Windies batsmen (or should i say Gayle) did the biz. Unlucky by the way Kev, i often think there is a conspiracy, i have lost these run handicaps by 1 run too mny times! No more bets on this match - but my hunch is Oz will look good, lose some wickets and settle for a draw. Ready for the india match now

    Re: Cricket: Australia vs West Indies - Test Series I reckon Windies will bat on - If you have a man like Gayle 150 odd not out it would be ridiculous not to ask him to swing the bat for 5 - 10 overs with the potential to score 60 runs + and bat Oz out of the game. Don't forget WI batted quite reserved and have scored 286 in 90 odd overs. Oz would have too much of a chance to chase the runs down. Especially with no Jerome Taylor to spearhead the bowling attack. That said, I'm surprisingly not confident that WI will knock off the 16 runs (21 for Ani) that we need. If Gayle gets out declaration surely, Rampaul batted well 1st innings but .... and the other lad.....rabbit! 16 runs sounds easy but I will believe it when i see it.

    Re: Cricket: Australia vs West Indies - Test Series it was turning quite a bit yesterday, but from what i saw in he first session; the Windies were completely up for it yesterday. They bowled, and fielded superbly and were really vocal in the field putting on loads of pressure. Will Hauritz get the same turn? Michael Clarke could have a major role to play with the ball if his back is up to it! I like the sound of +305 runs in this situation.
