Re: Golf Euro Tour - Volvo China Open
Sport Golf Event China Selection R Fisher Strength 1/10 Date 16/04/2006 Bookmaker/Price Expekt @ 51.00 (Back) + 2pt place @ 11 Reasoning He finished 4th in this event last year finishing just two shots back after a closing round of level par. Also this season he has come close at the Singapore masters and South Africa Open. Sport Golf Event China Selection Wen-Teh Lu top 5 finish Strength 3/10 Date 16/04/2006 Bookmaker/Price BetDirect @ 19.00 (Back) Reasoning Being Chinese will be used to the conditions and may have some knowledge of how the course is going to play. Won the Bankok Airways last year and had a top 5 finish at the TCL classic held in China just a few months ago. -
Re: Fantasy Football: http://fantasy.premierleague.com/ Its the luck of the cup - I got the 3rd highest score of the week and still went out. Well done to Rich and Cider City. The League is where its at though and I have got it wrapped up well before Chelsea.

Re: Golf - The Masters my selections are:
Sport Golf Event US Masters Selection Pampling top ROTW 1/4, 1-5 (Each-Way) Strength 1/10 Date 09/04/2006 Bookmaker/Price SportingOdds @ 41.00 (Back) Reasoning He finished 5th here last year and recent form is decent with a tournament win just a few weeks back at the Bay Hill International which had a good quality field. Sport Golf Event US Masters Selection Couples to bt Bjorn - match bet (DNB) Strength 10/10 Date 09/04/2006 Bookmaker/Price Expekt @ 1.90 (Back) Reasoning Couples has had 9 top 10's here and is a past winner. His form is ok with a couple of top 10's this year. Bjorn has had 3 missed cuts in this event from 6 attempts. Recent form is patchy with just a 69th place 2 weeks ago in a weak field. Sport Golf Event US Masters Selection Glover top debutant Strength 3/10 Date 09/04/2006 Bookmaker/Price Ladbrokes @ 9.00 (Back) Reasoning He won in Florida at the end of last season and this year he has had 4 top 10's from 9 events. He has also had experience on this course from his college days between 1999 and 2001. Sport Golf Event US masters Selection Di Marco (w/o top 5) (Each-Way) Strength 2/10 Date 09/04/2006 Bookmaker/Price Bet365 @ 23.00 (Back) Reasoning You can't ignore Di Marco's record here. He has had 4 top 12's in the last 5 years, with a withdrawel in the other year. He should have won it in 2004 but for a last round 76, and he finished t2 here last year. For the bet I have taken out the big 5 - Woods, mickelson, VJ, Els & goosen. Place = top 5 at quarter odds. -
Re: IKTS Week 32 I'm doing a Spurs (or a bolton) nose diving out of the champions league places and had a mare of a weekend.. Think I may well have had the worst score of the week.

Re: Golf - The Masters Skybet are offering a free golf bet too. Bet £5 on the masters - I assume it can be a matchbet or outright, when placing the bet type in the promotion code "golf" then you have a free £5 on any golf event.. I have had a really busy few days (should have researched earlier I know) so will be a bit of a rush job for me tomorrow finding bets and with the best prices gone too!

Re: Golf - Bell South Mickelson could play right handed and probably still win the event..

Re: Formula 1:Australian GP A very eventful GP. I said after the last race that F1 is the most frustrating sport to bet on.. I recorded the race and watched it when I woke up this morning. I ran out of objects to throw at the tv.. Not sure if it was totally Massa's fault but him going off and taking Rosberg with him was a huge blow for me on the first lap.. I think Massa will fail to finish over half the race this season. Ferrari took the wrong man and should have gone for Nick Heidfield. Could even have goin gfor ralph schumacher but he wouldn't have taken to kindly to take 2nd fiddle to michael. Expect Ferrari to be stronger in San Marino in 3 weeks time (well they can't get much weeker) as they some new parts. Well there is not much left of the old ones anyone given the two crashes their two cars were involved in today!! Also remind me just to bet on the winner in the next race, plus lay instead of back the Williams drivers.

Re: Formula 1:Australian GP
Sport Motorsport Event AUS GP Selection Webber points finish Strength 10/10 Date 02/04/2006 Bookmaker/Price Centrebet @ 1.75 (Back) Reasoning This is Webber's home grand prix so should know the circuit well and the cooler conditions should help his bridgestone tyres. Car problems permitting I can't see webber failing to finish in the top 8. Sport Motorsport Event AUS F1 GP Selection Rosberg points finish Strength 8/10 Date 02/04/2006 Bookmaker/Price William Hill @ 2.75 (Back) Reasoning Rosberg had a flying first race with a fastest lap & 7th place finish after a first lap mishap. I think he would have had a top 6 finish last race if not for an engine blow up. There is a possibility of rain for the race which may well suit his bridgestone tyres. He starts from 14th and I would price him more like 2.25 for a points finish which is around most other bookies have him priced at. Tip Detail Sport Motorsport Event AUS GP Selection Massa points finish Strength 7/10 Date 02/04/2006 Bookmaker/Price William Hill @ 3.00 (Back) Reasoning I am not a great fan of Massa but I think he is a little overpriced here for a points finish. He starts in 15th for this race, but came through from the back of the grid to finish 5th and ahead of m scumacher last time out. If he doesn't spin or have mechanical problems I think he has a fair chance of a top 8 finish. Sport Motorsport Event AUS GP Selection Alonso to win Strength 6/10 Date 02/04/2006 Bookmaker/Price Expekt @ 3.25 (Back) Reasoning He won the last two races and is favourite to make it a hattrick. He usually stays out a few laps later than teammate fisichella before refuelling which should be to his advantage. He also should have faster pace than pole sitter Button. He will have to watch out for the two mclarens especially at the start. If Alonso gets away well though I can see him picking up his 3rd vitory out of 3 races. Sport Motorsport Event AUS GP Selection Mclaren top scoring constructor Strength 3/10 Date 02/04/2006 Bookmaker/Price William Hill @ 3.75 (Back) Reasoning Mclaren are looking a little better for this race, and MOntoya especially looked decent in qualifying and his talking his chances up. Mclaren usually stay out on track longer so this may well help them to overhaul the cars ahead of them on the grid. Also if one renault fails to finish then if both mclarens finish strongly then it could well be good enough. -
Re: Formula 1:Australian GP Good shouts on the Toyota's, Mr I. May be best to lay a little off to gurantee profit. William Hill are out of line on a few of the points finishes. I expect to be able to slightly arb Massa & Rosberg.

Re: Golf - Bell South an assortment of bets from me:
Sport Golf Event Bell South Selection T Ridings 1/4, 1-5 (Each-Way) Strength 1/10 Date 02/04/2006 Bookmaker/Price Bet365 @ 126.00 (Back) Reasoning He posted a 6th here last year and a 14th the year before. He has had 3 top 5's in his last 11 starts, so his form is not bad and gives a decent value each way selection. Sport Golf Event Bell South Selection C Warren top 10 finish Strength 3/10 Date 02/04/2006 Bookmaker/Price Stan James @ 8.00 (Back) Reasoning He finished 10th here last year where he shot a closing 66. He finished a respectable 16th at the players championship last week, and 20th at Bay Hill the week before. He is a long accurate hitter, though his putting may hold him back from chalenging for the win. Sport Golf Event Bell South Selection Cink to finish in top 5 Strength 3/10 Date 02/04/2006 Bookmaker/Price BetDirect @ 15.00 (Back) Reasoning Cink lives near this course and he enjoys playing here. He has finished in the top 10 6 times in 10 starts. His best finish was a 2nd in 1999. His scoring has been consistent this year having only gone over par in 4 rounds out of 20 this year. Sport Golf Event Bell South Selection Rollins top 5 finish Strength 2/10 Date 02/04/2006 Bookmaker/Price BetDirect @ 15.00 (Back) Reasoning Rollins finshed 5th here in 2002 and 6th in 2003. He finished 8th last week at the Players event which was very respectable given that high quality field. He has also had a couple of top 5 finishes this year. Sport Golf Event Bell South Selection Cink to bt Jacobson - match bet Strength 8/10 Date 02/04/2006 Bookmaker/Price Totalbet @ 1.90 (Back) Reasoning Cink lives near this course and he enjoys playing here. He has finished in the top 10 6 times in 10 starts. His best finish was a 2nd in 1999. His scoring has been consistent this year having only gone over par in 4 rounds out of 20 this year. Jacobsen finished a respecable t22 last week but missed the previous two cuts. It is his first time on this course so may take time to adapt. He has had 7 rounds of 74 or worse from 20 in pga tour events this year. -
Re: Golf - Algarve Open First event played in Europe this season. I will just have the 1 pick - Davis :
Sport Golf Event Algarve Selection B Davis 1/4, 1-5 (Each-Way) Strength 2/10 Date 02/04/2006 Bookmaker/Price Blue Square @ 26.00 (Back) Reasoning He finished t20th in the players championship last week, so in this weak field he has every chance. He has twice finished in the top 3 here and it is obviousely an event he enjoys given that he doesn't play too many events on the European Tour now as he focus more on the u.s. -
Re: GOLF:Players Championship I didn't see any of the golf yesterday, so came home to find how Adam Scott was doing as he was just a shot of the lead after 2 rounds. I scrolled down and down and down before I found him at t50, just the 12 shots off the lead after an 82.... The course was obviousely playing much harder but there were still a few 68's and 69's. I think Tiger & Els are a little to far away to challenge for the win, but any one of about 22 players will have a fair chance of a win. Vj Singh looks the most likely winner just 1 shot of the lead.

Re: GOLF:Players Championship A bit short on analysis for me as have being struggling with internet connection past few days and still can't get into some sites. my bets:
Sport Golf Event Players Selection Lehman to bt Sabbatini (DNB) Strength 10/10 Date 26/03/2006 Bookmaker/Price Expekt @ 1.90 (Back) Reasoning Sabbatini has only made 1 cut here in 6 attempts, while Lehman has had 5 top 10's here and was 2nd last year. Sport Golf Event Players Selection A Scott 1/4, 1-6 (Each-Way) Strength 2/10 Date 26/03/2006 Bookmaker/Price Stan James @ 26.00 (Back) Reasoning In his last 3 appearances here he finished 8th here last year, won in 2004 and finished 17th in 2003. Sport Golf Event Players Selection T Penrice 1/4, 1-6 (Each-Way) Strength 1/10 Date 26/03/2006 Bookmaker/Price Stan James @ 101.00 (Back) Reasoning He has hit form in Florida with a 7th place finish last week to make his Florida form read 2/3/20/5/7 in his last 5 starts. Sport Golf Event Players Selection Verplank Top 10 finish Strength 4/10 Date 26/03/2006 Bookmaker/Price Stan James @ 4.25 (Back) Reasoning He had a top 10 last week, and has finished runner up twice this year. In the last three years, he has finished 8th, 26th and 2nd on this course and in that time he has finished in the top-10 in six of his twelve starts in Florida -
Re: Golf : Madiera Open
Sport Golf Event Madeira Selection K Sullivan 1/4 , 1-5 (Each-Way) Strength 1/10 Date 26/03/2006 Bookmaker/Price Coral @ 81.00 (Back) Reasoning He won in Portugal in the challenge tour a few weeks ago, and led here after 3 rounds last year so is hopeful of being up there again challenging this year. Sport Golf Event Madeira Selection A Coltart top 10 Strength 3/10 Date 26/03/2006 Bookmaker/Price Skybet @ 7.50 (Back) Reasoning He has a likeing for this course with a 3rd in 97, 4th in 99, 8th in 03 & 7th last year. He has missed his last 3 cuts, but before that had top 30's in Qatar & Dubai. -
Re: GOLF-Bay Hill Invitational I Felt for Greg Owen, he is from not too far away from where I live as well.

Re: Snooker: China Open
He is provisionally. Thats two of us cheering on Hawkings then Kevshat, A bit fearful he will go out in the first round. Not yet he aint. ;) -
Re: Snooker: China Open A couple of outright bets:
Sport Snooker/Pool Event China Selection B Hawkins (Each-Way) Strength 1/10 Date 19/03/2006 Bookmaker/Price Stan James @ 41.00 (Back) Reasoning He is ranked no 8 and is in the easier top half. He faces Hendry in his first match but win there and the draw opens up for him. He has beaten Hendry in his previous two meetings. He reached the semi's in the last tournament so is in good form. Sport Snooker/Pool Event China Selection O'sullivan to win Strength 10/10 Date 26/03/2006 Bookmaker/Price SportingOdds @ 5.00 (Back) Reasoning Could depend what moood O'Sullivan is in. He is though the class act here and he is talking a good game, saying he wants to meet and beat Ding in the final here in his own backyard. I don't think he would participate here if he wasn't 100%, so I believe he will be the man to beat. -

Re: GOLF-Bay Hill Invitational I badly need a couple of winners otherwise it is going to be a very disappointing golfing week for me.. Someone on another forum tipped up Pampling who was available with ladbrokes at 250/1... Shame I didn't put anything on.

Re: Formula 1 Malaysian Grand Prix F1 is probably one of the most frustrating sports to bet on. You are relying a little on luck, as engine blow up, someone going into the back of your car etc.. I do either go for small stakes or cover my bets. I had a feeling that the engiens on the Williams would last which I posted before the race, which proved correct. Heidfield was cruising in 5th and was a great performance till his engine gave way. Raikkonen taken out the race at the first corner. Was considering Villenueve for the points but stuck with the Heidfield the much better driver. Barrichello never have liked him, a 10 second stop & go for speeding in the pit lane - that about summed up my weekend. My only race winner was the Renault to sore the most points bet which won by a mile... Ferrari struggled a bit but I put that down to the tyres which don't go as well in the hot temperatures. Surprised that Massa finished ahead of Michael though, how did that happen???

Re: Formula 1 Malaysian Grand Prix
Sport Motorsport Event F1 Malaysia Selection Barrichello points finish Strength 4/10 Date 19/03/2006 Bookmaker/Price Nordicbet @ 4.00 (Back) Reasoning Looks a value price as although Barrichello will start near the back of the grid, the Bar is a fast car as Button has shown in his 4th place last race and qualifying 2nd for this one. Barrichello may well be fuelled up for a long stint and with possibily a good 6 or 7 race retirements (maybe more with the heat/humidity) with some of them front runners, Barrichello has every chance. -
