Re: Newmarket 15/05/08 Newmarket 6:55 Gainsborough's Art Owner Matthew Green only has 1 win from 8 runs by a 3yo this season but 3 finished second and 1 third. Trainer D R C Elsworth is having a very good month having 6 winners from 21 runners at +57.13 LSP. Two runners for today and both are running this race. The last two Maiden runners from Elsworth won. He's alone at topweight but I think it wont hurt his progress. He raced at 11-12 in April and was able to be only 5L from the winner. Re: Perth ~ Wednesday 14th Perth 8:10 Guns And Butter Course winner (LTO, 25Apr). Previous attemps was 2 seconds, 2 thirds and two fourths. Distance should suit. 4 of 15 on his first attempt at 3m at Sandown (26Mar). He battled well to win here last time and this return should be helpful to get another win. 10pts win @ 7-2 Betfred

Exeter 5:05 Ellie's Prince Ground could be the key here. He finished beaten 79L on debut back in March on Soft ground. That was followed by LTO's 37L defeat last month on Good ground. Now that the going is Good to Firm it might just be the day he get's placed. 2pts ew @ SP

Fontwell 2:30 Magic Clover Dropping in Class greatly from 2 LTO into a 4 today. Beaten 29L LTO but he raced against a tough field. Those who finished ahead are proven winners, Sir Harry Ormesher, Rapid Increase, Whiteoak, Sir Monty, and Snake Charmer. Trainer and jockey has a good mark on the chase track at this crouse the past 5 seasons. Trainer P R Webber has 2 wins from 5 while 0 for 8 with the rest. Jockey W T Kennedy has 2 wins from 9 here for +11.50 level stakes profit and hurdlers is for -11.50 from 24 runs. 3pts ew @ SP

Can go well from such a long break, finished 3rd of 17 in 2007 after not raced from 2005. May '04 to May '05 break was good for a win on his handicap debut. Bath 7:00 Coppetbottomed Has two wins and two second placed from the last four starts. LTO was for a beaten 1/4L for 2nd of 5. Eligible to improve on that on this second turf start this season and with the extra distance from LTO should really help. 5pts ew @ SP

She's been having her best efforts the last couple of years with 10 races since 2007 for 3 second, two thirds, and all but two are for defeats of less than 10L. That was followed up with a 7th of 9 (beaten 19L) but that being with a jockey with just 2 rides for experience. The win had an amateur jockey but was more experienced - 11 wins from 68 runs the past 5 seasons. Jockey Darryll Holland is booked for tonigh and that comes with a very good from from recent runs - 6-3-2-1-4 the last 5. Shenandoah Girl is the only scheduled ride for Holland today. She's only on her 5th race but where connections have tested her is a good sign. Tried on Soft last time out (11Apr) and finished 2nd of 12 and the race before that was on Good to Firm for a 2nd of 8. LTO was also her first race since last September so she is eligible for further improvement today. Best priced at 9-4 (low as 7-4) with second favorite only at 7-1 at best. 10pts win @ 9-4 Blue Square Catterick 4:55 Killer Class On a hat trick going into this. Ground of Good to Soft is where she won two of the three wins. All three wins are from 5f. Trainer J S Goldie was able to have a quick returning runner to win two in a row with La Vecchia Scuola (4/19 and 4/20). Looks to be a good value even with the best price at 6-4, second favorite is as low as 6-1 (high as 9-1). 10pts win @ 6-4 Betfred

He's won 2 of last 3 and finished 2nd on the other. Jockey Mark Bradburne have done best when in a Novices' Chase the past 5 seasons - 24/139 (17%) for +2.24. Other type of races is well below 10% strike rate, 7% (HcH and MdH), 5% (SlH), and 6% (NHF).
