Re: Best bet of the day - Thursday 29th May Great Leighs 3:30 Berbice (BBOTD) Tried 7f on reappearance LTO but that didn't suit. Previous starts (6) was all for 6f - 3-4-1-4-3-2. Trip today is something to like alot. He's done alot better in higher prized events last season that this 7K event today. All Weather debut but a performance anywhere near where he left off last year should have him dominate. 10pts win @ SP

Great Leighs 3:00 Befortyfour 30-100F LTO eased for 6L win at Lingfield (AW Debut). That was from being off for nearly 10 months so his shape for today should be improved. RP Betting Forecast as the 9-4 Favorite but I think he will be much less. His time LTO was 58.00s for 5f and that was 0.30s fast for the course and distance. Trainer M A Jarvis and jockey Philip Robinson as a combo has been profitable this season. 15 wins from 45 3yo runners on Turf and All Weather for +22.15 LSP. Re: Yarmouth - Thursday 29th May Yarmouth 2:10 Buddhist Monk (one to follow:ok) Owned by Lord Derby. Derby has 3 runners the past 5 seasons with two able to be placed on their career debut - Ouija Board (20-1 for 3 of 23 ) and Majestic Halo (66-1 for 2 of 13). Trainer and jockey are both at or near 20% strike rate the past 14 days. Trainer Sir Mark Prescott has 2 wins and 1 third from 10 runs. Beverley 8:05 Dubai Princess Made a decent effort on her reappearance earlier this month being beaten 3 3/4 for 4th of 13. I think the price is very high to what she can still improve into. She missed most of last summer due to injuries but now looks to be getting back to winning form. Much is expected from her this season as she is entered to 4 high prized events including a Group 1 and Group 3 next month. Only win on Turf came on Firm ground. I think the drop back to 5f will help - lifetime form at 5f is 1-4-6. Won on her career debut then a 4th of 10 beaten 2 1/2L in a Listed event at York. His last run for 5f was for a 3 3/4L (6th of 12) defeat by Captain Gerrard in the Group 3 Cornwallis Stakes. 3pts ew @ 11-1 Stan James BOG

Huntingdon 7:20 Insignia Record of jockey Richard Johnson the past 5 seasons at this course rivals that of AP McCoy. Johnson has an advantage in the chase department with 10 wins from 38 for + 24.75 LSP with AP at 10/42 -3.45 LSP. Other jockey's in this race has at best an 11% (3/28 for both) strike rate at the chase track. With this being a Novices' Chase I think a jockey who has performed better at a course has an advantage. AP's mount is offered at 11-4 (Sportingbet) at best while Johnson is at the highest 14-1 (Sportingbet). Trainer Mrs A M Thorpe is currently in top form with a 2-1-4-3-PU-4-1-5 since 20May. Previous form on the flat before getting into NH races is 8-2-2-1-9-4-3-8 - win came on Good to Firm going. Trainer G A Sinbank is top the win list from all trainer in this race with 19 (from96) for a profit of 9.93 at level stakes. 14/55 (25% strike rate) with runners aged 4yo+. Form from the last three is 2-4-3 out of 12-9-8 runners. His record at the course and distance is a win and third from two tries - won on Good to Firm while 3rd on Soft. He is one of 6 in this field to have a Topspeed rating of 100+ in 4 of the last 6 ratings. I like that trainer P D Evans has a 19% strike rate with 2yo's running 5-6f this season - 9 wins from 47 for +7.63 LSP. 7 of the last 10 winners are females. 6 winners drawn at 1 and 2 - with 3 winners for each draw. Although no winners have come from draw 3, a total of 6 has finished in the top three. 2pts ew @ 18-1 Stan James BOG Sandown 6:40 Fazbee 7 of the last 10 winners are females. 6 winners drawn at 1 and2 - with 3 winners for each draw.
