  1. Re: Kempton 19/11 2:50 Home Finished 3rd on last two starts when trained by Ed Dunlop. Now with J R Boyle. Stable is going with a jockey that's done well all month for the yard. Pat Cosgrave gets the mount bringing in a form of 2 wins and once 2nd from 3 starts for Boyle this November. The winners are Sunoverregun (33-1) and Alonzo De Guzman (7-4) with the 2nd placer being Cross Fell (2-1). Rides for other trainers from that 3 race span contains 10 runners - won once and 3rd once with the rest unplaced. To use my excellent ability to point out the obvious I must say the yard is getting their best jockey for their newest addition to the team. 7.8/2.6 @ Betfair

  2. Re: Gingers Jumpers

If it is good-soft now it will be softer come post time so no more on Leslingtaylor yet. 2:20 Cheltenham extra: £22 @ 6.6/1 Kalca Mome Can see River City being a non-runner so won't go for a saver on Voy Por yet. 2:55 Cheltenham extra: £4 @ 10.5/1 Osana £4 @ 43/1 Altihar (4.5% 22/1) £3 @ 29/1 Victram (5% 20/1) £2 @ 119/1 Wizard Of Us

  3. Re: Cheltenham 18/11

Cheltenham 1:45 Leading Contender Has the experience at this track and been with T J O'Brein (Jockey) since 22Noc06 (7 races). Being able to go well at this track and distance is a plus but having a familiar pilot is best. The jockey lacks the experience here with an overall record of 1 win from 43 races. Not to much worry though with him having placed 2nd twice from 3 rides here last month. One of those two 2nd's was with Leading Contender. Paddy Power "We’ll Take The Fall!" Money Back Special @ 12-1 : 3 pts each way
    4th-Placed +6.00 *Tote Place paid 2-1 (£3.10 to be exact) :\
  4. Re: Cheltenham 18/11

:welcome by the way PL Crewman. You seem to be a welcome addition to the team here! Was looking at Leading Contender closely myself, may still bet. Think I saw the horse at the PL meeting in Worcester and have been following it since, but have been put off recently, but as you say has course experience and ounts for a lot at Chelt, will see tomorow, but good luck
:cheers It did have a bad spell of three races from feb to apr with a 4th,7th and then falling-plus beaten favorite at very shot prices last year..4/11, 4/9, 4/9. The October start made that all go away for today. Maybe the high expectations can now be fulfilled this season.
  5. Re: Fontwell 18/11

Fontwell 1:25 Surfboard Interesting to see how Michael Murphy (Jockey) will perform over hurdles for P A Blockley (Trainer). Murphy has 3 wins from 6 chasers for the trainer this year with no tries with hurdles. The jockey has a total of 2 wins from 17 rides that are not for Blockley. Surfboard left in good terms with the 3 wins from 5 races and never unplaced from Feb to May. Murphy and Blockley has two other teams to go at 2:35 and 3:10 with the latter being a chase. Only being placed for expectations. Tote Place: 10 pts
1st-Placed (Won) :clap held up well in rear, steady headway from 3 out, sat quietly in 2nd 2 out, led last, shaken up and quickened to go clear flat, comfortably touched 11/8 Tote Place: £1.60 (6-5 SP) +6.00
  6. Re: Carlisle 18/11

Carlilse 12:30 Quws Law Hurdlers from the stable is currently doing very well and that makes this one look alot better. It is making the debut over hurdles so the stables form makes it unavoidable. I have the doubts it can win due to the lack of success from the trainer and jockey at this track. They have a low mark when it comes to winning with their 7% and 8% win rate here (from Racing Post). With the current form and the Trainer & Jockey history here I must only recommend this to be placed. Tote Place: 10 pts
4th-Unplaced :eyes in touch, led 2nd, headed before 3 out, ridden and one pace from next opened 5/1 touched 9/2

  10. Re: Wolverhampton 17/11 7:00 Pharaohs Justice - 2 pts ew @ SportingBet 25-1 Sire (KAFWAIN) is a rookie this year and only has three that have raced but results show that the runners can perform this early. The three are.. Hartfelt - won debut over 1 mile in USA, frim ground - filly Kadira - won on 2nd start over 6 furlongs in USA, fast ground - filly Rasierra - 2nd on debut over 1 mile (Grade 3) in USA, fast ground, - filly Pharaohs Justice is the first male to race but family history with fillies look promising enough.

  11. Re: Uttoxeter 17/11

2:45 Tayman - 5 pts e/w Finally won on the 6th try over hurdles for the current stable last month. It took a change of tactics to win and that may be key to more victories. The trainer (Carll Llewellyn) has a good record when pairing with Noel Fehily. The duo has a mark of 4 wins from 17 hurdlers for a profit of 23.50 at LSP. They are horrible when chasing - 1 win from 12 tries. Tayman is the only hurdler for the Llewelly/Fehily combo today.

  12. Re: Lingfield 17/11/07

12:50 Edie Superstar 3rd LTO with the winner of that race running well in Listed company at Newmarket for a follow up race. Much is likely to be expected from this one for it having a tag of $260,000. May just be the first winner on All-weather for Forestry (Sire). The distance is likely to be perfect with LTO being the evidence. That race was for 1m and the commentary reads : made most, kicked on 2f out, headed inside final furlong. 12:50 Bookish (place) The month of november is proving to have a change of results for the Johnston 2yo's at this track. With 1 win from 19 runners here for 2007 looks avoidable. Not going to avoid this runner with the fact that the November 2007 form reads 1st, 2nd, 9th. Much improvement is needed for a victory but being placed will take less.
    Both unplaced. :eek
  13. Re: Uttoxeter 17/11

2:45 Newton Bridge - 10 pts win May just be the best horse at this event. Won at Cheltenham yesterday and not another can claim that feat here. There are two opponents that won their last race with one of them being out for 452 days. It's really been in a form to not oppose (1.3.1.1.1) since being a faller in May. It can win over hurdles or fences and the performance yesterday really has this the one to beat. 2:45 Tayman - 5 pts e/w Finally won on the 6th try over hurdles for the current stable last month. It took a change of tactics to win and that may be key to more victories. The trainer (Carll Llewellyn) has a good record when pairing with Noel Fehily. 2:45 Newton Bridge - Non Runner
  14. 7:55 Clovis - 5 pts ew @ Paddy Power 9/2 Sheikh Mohammed owned horses at Wolverhampton this year has a 36% strike rate (+2.36 LSP). The trainer (Mark Johnston) has Wolverhampton for the best strike rate with 25% with 2yo's (+12.20 LSP). Any other tracks on all weather can only account for 3 wins from 40 runners (-13.00 LSP). This is Clovis' all weather debut but comes from a yard that can judge where to send runners to win.
