  1. Re: bbotd tuesday 5.20 Folkestone: Hurakan 1pt win @ 9/1 Bet365 BOG Big chance here with Fallon a positive booking. Has ran well from higher marks than this in the past and won on the all weather from 71 in handicap company. Has a bit to prove though, trip being one (was beaten at very skinny odds on only attempt at this trip), and ground conditions as raced mainly on all weather or fast turf. However well worth a gamble at the price in my opinion for a stable in very good form and who teamed up with Fallon for a winner a fortnight ago.

  3. Re: BBOTD - Monday 12 September first selection is a non-runner 5.40 Kempton: Micks Dancer 1pt win @ 14/1 Labrokes BOG Well handicapped on best known form with all flat wins coming from higher marks than this. Trip no problem and ran well enough over a furlong shorter here LTO which was a step back in the right direction. Martin Dwyer a positive booking and stable in decent enough heart at present on both flat and over jumps. Worth a chance here from current rating IMO.

  4. Re: FLAT Racing - Sept 12th 5.20 Musselburgh: These Dreams 1pt win @ 25/1 Bet365 BOG A definite case can be made for this horse here in my opinion. Despite being a maiden, the horse has ran well enough to believe that it can win a race having been close up on a few occasions. Handles cut in the ground so conditions fine and any further rain no issue. Has slipped down to a decent looking handicap here having performed below par on last couple of starts when a visor was tried. Change of headgear to cheekpieces this afternoon may spark the horse back into life and on best known form would have a live chance here. 25/1 looks a decent bet here.

  6. Re: Right Race, Right Time Selections

Nice result :ok (Wonder what odds you would have got on betfair...)
Yep, been thinking about that too to be honest - gonna carry on till end of September as a trial then evaluate results (also check back P/L against BetfairSP) and try to filter selections down a little before starting in October. Cheers :ok

  8. Re: BBOTD 11th of September 5.15 Goodwood: Redvers 1pt win @ 12/1 Bet365 BOG Had been progressing quite nicely in 3yo handicaps over this trip before disappointing a tad dropped to 5f LTO. Return to 6f today an obvious plus and would have every chance here on best known form. The only unknown is the ground as this will be the first time the horse has encountered anything softer than good - if no problem with conditions, would be entitled to go very close from only 5lbs higher than penultimate start when winning a shade cosily.

  10. Re: BBOTD 10th of September 3.00 Chester: Steed 1pt win @ 16/1 bet365 BOG Highly progressive on the all weather when with Kevin Ryan at the start of the year, however yet to show a similar level of form on turf. Has since moved stables to Richard Guest and the last three runs haven't been anything to get excited about, however has slipped down the weights as a consequence and is below last AW winning mark. Best recent effort was penultimate start over C&D and no surprise to see the horse take a step back in the right direction today from a decent draw.

  12. Re: 2011 Challenge - Multiples target 1000pt return Got a wee lucky 15 on the go today so thought i'd share... 2.00 Chester: Hyperlink Has the best form on the book, albeit the horse takes on more lightly raced horses with potential today. However think this horses extra racecourse experience will tell and really fancy this one to go in today. 15/8 3.45 Chester: English Summer Reasoning as per BBOTD 9/1 4.20 Chester: One Scoop or Two Drawn hasn't been kind, however this horse will make for the front at the start anyway so all depends here on a sharp start to get prime position irrespective of draw. If breaks well, then could be more to come after a massive step up LTO when dictating affairs over this trip in a fair handicap at Haydock last week. 6/1 4.50: Midsummer Sun Marked step down in class here having blown out in a group 3 LTO, however maiden win when destroying the field (couple won handicaps since) puts this horse bang there from what could be a lenient opening mark. Ideal draw from prominent racing style and one to beat IMO. 9/4 1pt lucky 15 - All prices Bet365 BOG At quoted prices return would be: 1,433.25pts :eek :ok

  13. Re: BBOTD Friday 9th of September 3.45 Chester: English Summer 1pt win @ 10/1 VC BOG Has course form when winning over slightly shorter here in May (holds Plato on that run). Been largely disappointing since though, barring penultimate start, however back at Chester today, only 1lb higher than that win, this horse must have a great chance here over a trip that shouldn't inconvenience. Was entered up to run at the weekend past but dodged that engagement for today so perhaps a decent show is expected from this fairly lightly raced horse. 10/1 Looks like a decent bet in my opinion.

  16. Re: BBOTD 8th of September 3.20 Epsom: Climaxfortackle 1pt win @ 8/1 PP BOG This horse finished strongly to win over this trip at Wolves LTO and that was a big step in the right direction. Has softest ground it has faced today but if able to handle it could continue improvement here and may still be quite nicely handicapped having only been raised 3lbs for that LTO victory. Decent chance and decent odds.

  17. Re: BBOTD 7th of September 1st selection a non-runner... 4.20 Doncaster: Rasmy 1pt win @ 9/1 PP BOG Has some quite smart 2yo and 3yo form on the book and after a fairly low key return to action after over a year off in July when down the field in a listed race, ran with a lot of credit last time out over 12f on fast ground in a Goodwood group 3. This easier and if able to build on that improved effort over, what may be, a more suitable trip then this horse could go very close at a fair price. Stable in decent heart at the minute also.

  18. Re: Flat Racing 7th September 5.20 Doncaster: Googlette 1pt win @ 28/1 Boylesports BOG This horses 2yo form is very strong with both the maiden 2nd on debut and subsequent win being franked in no uncertain terms by the horses who finished behind it. Has been competing in better grades of contest than this on two starts as a three year old, the first in listed company and latterly over 6f - disappointed in both, however the ground may have been plenty slow enough on both occasions with both decent 2yo efforts coming on fast ground or the polytrack at Kempton. 2yo form makes current mark of 84 look lenient to say the least and with first time headgear applied today and back on fast ground I think the horse will have enough pace to cope with 5f here and the price is too big in my opinion.

  20. Re: BBOTD 6th of September 2.20 Sedgefield: Cordillera 1pt win @ 9/2 Bet365 BOG Made a pleasing start on hurdles debut when a decent 3rd over this trip at Stratford in what looks quite a decent event (finished miles clear of 4th). Stable in really good heart at present with a 47% strike rate over the last 14 days and their novices running particularly well. They go double handed in this event and their other horse San Bellino cannot be readily discounted on pedigree, however of the two Cordillera has to be favoured given it's racecourse experience and promise of better to come from hurdles debut. A couple of other interesting horses oppose and this does look competitive but at 9/2 I would be happy to side with the Donald McCain horse.

  21. Re: BBOTD 5th of September 3.00 Newton Abbot: Space Telescope 1pt win @ 6/1 Boylesports BOG Horse recent form has been nothing to write home about but think that the reapplication of blinkers could have a positive effect today. Won twice on the trot when blinkers were first applied and after recent poor runs, they're back on again today and from a shrewd stable would be no surprise to see a completely different horse. Has ran well from this kind of mark finishing a close up 3rd over 2f further from 1lb higher in June. Likes fast ground and trip no concern and has been the subject of early money so a better effort could be on the cards :ok
