I believe this Costarican referee is making his debut in MLS (Dallas vs Colorado Rapids), having previously been in charge of couple of USL Championship fixtures on American soil.
Well, what can I tell you, he seems to like the attention.
YC line seems a little low, o3.5 @1.65, o4.5 @2.2 (local)
RC @3.8 (local) looks alright to me as well.

Ok, let's try a thread for anything that anyone notices about, say, a team, a player or a ref that strikes them as being worth bearing in mind for future betting opportunities. I'll add Spanish ref Mateo Busquets Ferrer as the inaugural inductee into our Hall of Gains!
Flagged by @Marek76 who bet on a red card being shown in last night's Real Madrid game, I took a look and also backed Madrid most booking points. The latter landed but not, unfortunately, the red card bet.
I make it he's shown a red card in 17 out of the 43 games he's officiated in the top 2 divisions which equates to simplistic fair odds of just over 2.5. He was 10/3 last night in a game with a fairly middling bookings expectation for Spain.
Worth keeping an eye out for possible opportunities to back a red card at a decent price in his future games.

Here are the odds for Week 1 of Season 1 of our FREE Punters Lounge Football Tipster competiton 2024/25.  You must use these fixed odds for your bets (single, double or treble combination) which have been taken from the William Hill site.   Deadline is a strict 3pm (15.00 BST) Saturday for all bets, any later and your whole bet is disqualified and you count as a no show for the week.  If you pick an earlier match you must post before kick off or that game will be discounted and your bet reduced.   The season will run for 10 weeks and you must play at least 7 weeks or you are eliminated. 
The Selection threads for Divisions will be set up tonight and I will tag you all so you know which to post in.  If you need to post before these go up please put your bet in this thread.

Hi all, payments have been sent for the winners in the last Football Tipster comp, please let me know if any don't arrive.  There are a couple of problem ones we are aware of, I've messaged the members concerned and will update when I hear back.
Merchandise has also been ordered, including some from the previous comp which had been missed, so please look out for a parcel arriving if you were a winner.

No dice with the goalscorer bet earlier but close with the correct score. I'll take two scorer bets in the next match with MGM - first scorer Arnautovic at 9.00 and anytime scorer Piatek at 6.00. It looks like Arnautovic is a lone striker so that should help his chances and Poland need a result which might help the Piatek bet.

Poland vs Austria
Austrians are favs and rightly so. Rangnick prefers a fast paced, pressing game, something which Poland might (will) struggle with. I dread the scenario where our center backs are pressed while trying to move the ball from our penalty box. And that's precisely what Austria did against the French. They shuld have scored at least once there.
My point is that I see plenty of goals in this game. Lewandowski should be back so that's at least a morale boost for Poland.  If we see a quick goal in the first half, this might end up with, say: 3-3 or 2-4 to Austria.

Some interesting angles there, had an eye on van D related markets myself.
Hills winning the battle of the betbuilders so far (offering a 25% boost on every game but 25% of nothing doesn't amount to much; still, it's a marathon etc.)! Let's try Netherlands >1.5 goals, Poland >2.5 cards and Dumfries assist at 20/1.

Artur Manuel Ribeiro Soares Dias will be in charge of the game  and to say he's trigger happy about the cards would be an understatement. He averages 5.19 yellows per game (league and internationals). In 2023 he featured in 3 Euro qualifiers where he dished out 5, 7 and 8 yellows. These 7 cards he handed out in the Poland vs Moldova game. 
Will we struggle without Lewandowski? We might but it could actually work in our favour where the squad should work as a team rather than one star player + 10 minnows. In recent games Lewandowski often drifted towards the middle in order to create chances so in the Polish squad he stopped being a direct threat in the box.
Szczęsny might be our single silver lining today, he's matured enough but our two rusty center backs will provide him with plenty of action in the penalty area. 
Koeman mentioned the Dutch captain will be the pen taker so sudenly van Dijk price looks big. You might look for Dijk tournament tally >1.5 @10 and that price also seems attractive.

What a rollercoaster ride it has been in the fun division this season!  You end up with your overall bank slightly down having had no winners this week, but have the highest total number of winners over the season.  And no eliminations for no shows.
@akarsioti couldn't make it a perfect 10 from 10 and both his selections let him down after a masterful strategy the previous 9 weeks, but he is the clear winner of the Most Wins Prize.
@Marek76's turbulent campaign results in him dropping down to 2nd place with @corky floating up to the top spot (see what I did there ), @paulat and @vangovin keep their 3rd and 4th positions.    Creditable mentions also to Peter York and Blackfritz who miss out on the money but will gain a promotion into Division 1 next year.
