  1. Re: BBOTD Friday 26th July 730 York - Reckoning - 14/1 - PP, Ladbrokes, Hills, £3.65 3 places available on the exchanges still, Reckoning has only has 5 runs and is open to improvement having only had the one start so far this term. 3rd behind Cubanita & Sajjhaa on only start as a 3yo and they've turned out ok. Plenty to find with the well backed Fav but she was well backed last time out too and connections turn to a hood so there is clearly a percieved problem. I think it's Graham Lee's first ride for the stable too so if 'it's off' then you can imagine him trying. Bigger on the exchanges and likely that you'll be able to find 16/1 with a Bookie b4 the off.

  2. Re: BBOTD Thursday 25th July BALLS!! Just missed the deadline for one.... 720 Leops - Scintilla - 7/1 - Boylesports Mars should win but I don't trust the AOB stable at the moment! Improving filly that didn't strike me as needing a drop in distance in the Irish Oaks. Is overpriced on my ratings alone though.

  3. Re: Back A 4/1+ Winner In The 4.20 Catterick And Get A Free Bet For 8.20 Leicester

Just be wary about winning too often with this offer. I made profit from this by selecting winners consecutively and not too long after my accounts were closed. It may have been a coincidence as it happened on accounts that were also heavily in loss for Bet365 and there reasoning for closure was the accounts were not financial viable. My suggestion would be try for a winner the first time and back what you feel is likely to lose with the free bet and lay on betfair. That way you potentially make up to 50 pounds each time or at worse break even each time but without the fear of losing your account. By the way I suggest you lay the liability (potential profit) from the free bet and not the stake itself, that way you don't end up out of pocket if it wins. Just think of it as a free boost to your betfair account and don't worry too much about the free bet itself. Also I don't suggest anyone bet on these races willy nilly as that is what bet365 would like you to do. Bet when you are confident or if you were going to back in the race regardless of the offer. Make it work for you! Agree with you Aidy that they are the best bookmaker, usually have very good odds, price up races early, best website layout, good deals and promotions and best customer service by far, from my experience. Also they were the last bookmaker to limit my account and in the end close it. Just a shame they won't take my business any more as I enjoyed my time with them. Best of luck to everyone that has/can get a Bet365 account! :ok
Glad you said it!! This is exactly the way to play the Offer to the best effect. After 10 o clock, they guarantee to be best prices against the 'big' 4 or 5 meaning that everytime on of these firms pushes on out then 365 have to do the same. This gives plenty of opportunity to back something at 4/1 and upwards and then lay it back on Betfair at the same, or sometimes under this price. It really is free money with no risk. Imagine the possibilities if you had multiple accounts!!:loon Not that I could recomend such a thing as you'd be breaking Bookmakers Terms & Conditions. I've had approaching 50 of these 'not financillay viable' letters from 365 - the offer is not financially viable and they can only be hoping that you end up in their casino or making bad bets on other races and events. I find it almost impossible to lose money with 365 - their odds compilers are outclassed on a daily basis as redily proved by Slapdash in a seperate thread. Rick after rick is swallowed up by punters with accounts and by the morning when everyone else offers odds, they are all in line with Betfair again. Some maths - if a race has 6 runners at 9/2, 9/2, 9/2, 9/2, 9/2 & 9/2 they'd be betting to 109% which is completely viable given that they are matching all the best prices on a Saturday. Their offer means that they are offering the equivilent of 11/2 on all 6 runners which comes to a book of 92.31% so they are guaranteed to lose money on these races in the long term. No wonder they have to close so moany accounts. As Karanji points out - the best Bookmaker if they weren't allowed to limit you. The opening deposit offer is the best, the C4 £50 offer is the best, they are up earliest with prices by far and give you a free MATCHED £50 on a few big footy matches every season. So by far, the best bookmaker offer wise but the reality is, if you don't mug yourself off betting in the casino or losing on other things then you are destined to lose your account and they become a constant source of frustration!!!:wall Best of luck to anyone with an account though :ok
  4. Re: Mobile Offer: Money Back If 2nd To Cirrus Des Aigles

They are all trying to get the share of the mobile market. Its the second priority behind the fobts as its viewed as the next boom sector to be exploited and thus market share on that will greatly satisfy the shareholders. Each of our shops has a target number of odds on cards to upgrade to accounts to get them betting on mobile currently. Any help for you there saint? Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2
Thanks Dan - it never occurred to me to think of it like that. People that are addicted to a bet have got less and less chance of beating an addiction it seems - certainly less chance of avoiding temptation anyway... I think we have had this type of discussion before so best left there I guess.
  5. Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread Did anyone happen to watch the build up to the Listed sprint @ Naas this evening(1925)? Snow Queen was a moderate drifter leading up to the off - out from around 4.5 to 5.75 @ the off, when she stood in the stalls with JOB not looking especially animated in my humble opinion. It's not such a massive drift and the 2nd was heavily backed but what alarms me is a Betfair SP, that was returned as 6.64!! This means that there was considerably more money wishing to lay Snow Queen at BSP than there was willing to back it, hence the price gets shunted out even further than the 3/1 she had been traded at all day. No significant financial interest on SQ but was just interested as to how she was behaving before the race. Am still undecided as to whether or not Irish Racing at Listed level is a viable long term proposition, betting wise. I don't have enough results to draw conclusions as yet but there do seem to be more potentially fishy goings on, on that side of the water.... There may be an easy explanation but was playing football....:eyes

  6. Re: Back A 4/1+ Winner In The 4.20 Catterick And Get A Free Bet For 8.20 Leicester

Back a winner @ 4/1 or bigger in one of the feature races with Bet365 and you will get a free bet to the same stake on the next feature race. If you back a winner in the last feature race of that day, the offer continues onto the 1st race of the next day's feature races. Wednesday's Feature Races : Catterick 4:20 + Leicester 8:20 Max Free Bet : £50 Register with Bet365 now to sign up for this fantastic offer
Best Bookmaker offer on the web by a country mile if you are lucky enough to sustain an account. There is an absolute FOOLPROOF, GUARANTEED way of making this pay you with no risk. Saturdays provides particularly profitable if you do things right after 10am.
  7. Re: Mobile Offer: Money Back If 2nd To Cirrus Des Aigles

MONEY BACK IF SECOND TO CIRRUS DES AIGLES King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes Place a bet on your mobile or tablet on the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot and if your selection comes second to Cirrus des Aigles, we will refund your stake as a FREE BET up to £25! Register with Bet Victor to avail of this Great Offer!
Out of interest, is anyone able to shed any light as to why some of these current Bookmaker offers are 'exclusive to mobile'? Is the ISP easier for the Bookmaker to trace or do they own shares in Apple?!??! :lol William Hill do a £25 back if second to anyone on Channel 4 races (including above) but again, only through their mobile app? I doesn't really affect me but if it did and I didn't own a suitable mobile device it would drive me mad!! Any ideas anywhere???
  8. Re: BBOTD Wednesday 24th July 1925 - Minalisa - 6/1 - Paddy Power Bolted up last time out in a hcap off 85 and appears to be improving fast. Many of this field look like they may need further and whlst I think Snow Queen could take alot of beating Minalisa should be suited by apparent optimum conditions.

  9. 700 Leop - Heart Focus - 11/4 - Corals A sad day today as both laptops went to the shop on the same day!!! Blue screen of doom for one too.... :( Heart Focus beat the fav for the above race 3l at Royal Ascot but is 5x the price. Exposed ill grant u but should give her running and 11/4 is more than fair on the limited form we have to go on.

  10. Re: BBOTD > Sunday 14th July 14 Bets yesterday - struggling today..... :( 335 Fairyhouse - Russian Soul - 100/30 - 365 Market has a nice EW shape to it with 8 going to post and I'm keen to oppose the fav from AOBs. He's not done it on these shores as yet and ig=f he were Pegasus he'd have been in the July Cup yesterday. Obvoiously could win but given the prices, the next 2 in the betting might be better options.

  11. Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread It does appear that on course now, it's all about the drink. Good fun I'm sure but it's pretty shoddy! Walked briskly around 20 bookmakers the other day - all 9/4 the fav - no discrepencies whatsoever. Sadly, it's an economic necesity that the courses have to concentrate on the drinkers and profit as opposed to cater for the punter - and that means weekend racing. Nearly all serious punters are sat behind a screen - u have to be to stand any chnace of keeping up with the sheer volume. Of those that are betting on course, I'm sure the Bookmaker would rather take them on when they are tanked up as opposed to sober and thinking rationally. I'd estimate that around 80% of my turnover is done on a Saturday with the fixture list as it is.... And I say Saturday - but yestrday 95% of that was done in a ridiculous 90 minute time slot!! I agree with your sentiment Erhaab but it's not changing anytime soon. The punter/racing fan is fast becoming the minority on course.

  12. Re: BBOTD SATURDAY 13TH JULY 230 Ascot - Premio Loco - 14/1 - VC, PP Won this race 3 years ago and seemingly back to form lto over CD off 109 @ Royal Ascot. Has to be a doubt he can repeat that level of form at 96 or whatever he is but loves fast ground and 14/1 is ok. Could well drift too - thoroughly exposed.

  13. Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread

In accordance to the rulebook, which should be enforced, Sky Lantern was the rightful winner today. i don't see how disqualifying a horse that did not rightfully win is correct This is 1 million miles away from the Al Kazeem incident, as Al Kazeem was the best horse in the race by a mile.
I think if you leave betting aside, then the worry is that the rules as they stand are not discouraging dangerous riding. I agree Al Kazeem was the best horse in the race by a mile but JD could have put PH over the rail - I've heard srguments that he let AK continue to drift knowing that he would keep the race - pure speculation imho... Today WB hits a horse in the face with his whip and then does it again - doing it once by 'accident' would be easier to accept!!! Seems about 50/50 as to whether or not Sky Lantern was the best horse today. Personally, I don't know - certainly it's a possibility. Get em back tomorrow!
  14. Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread

Absolute farce! Now, onto tomorrow... "Hello Victor, how much will you give me to leave the result unaltered?"
You say that but given that many Bookmakers pay out on Disqualified winners, in a 4 runner race (with the first and second fav involved), it could have cost them an absolute fortune... I think overall, I am glad we don't have the French rules - Al Kazeem and the like being thrown out would make it a bit silly. Swings n Roundabouts I suppose. Until you have all ex-rider Stewards, they won't want to apply any disgression with how the rules stand :(
  15. Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread Interesting though.... Al Kazeem keeps the race and was unquestionably the best horse in the race on the day. Didn't help connections of the 3rd who lost 50k.... Was SL the best horse in the race today...? At least possibly.... But we can't know.... Would Mukadram have battled back on Saturday? Almost definatly not but we can't possibly know that either.... Could really do with this being reversed but don't see it :(

  16. Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread

I must say, I had a good bet on Sky Lantern today. Elusive Kate cost sky lantern 2-3 lengths there, and imo it's a joke if the result is not changed.
Unf, I don't think it will be.... Am putting this up as I very much hope it is and most things I put up on here turn out to be wrong....
  17. Re: BBOTD > FRIDAY 12th July 425 York - City Girl - 11/1 - Stan James Showed an apppareant improvement in form last time out at Newmarket and is still lightly raced so hopeful there could be more to follow. Jockey, Jim Crowley has a 22% SR for this stable in 2013 - which is nice :p

  18. 240 Newmarket - Grandeur - 9/1 - Stan James Fancy loads of longer prices today but will pick the one I can probably write ok from the toilet! For me, Cavalryman has it to prove after his last run and so does Dandana although his drift in the market and subsequent poor run could have been down to the soft ground. Universal is a v admirable horse and unlike most MJ inmates is running with a good degree of consistency. Faces an 8lb reverse with Wigmore Hall for a 2 1/4 length beating though and at the prices I couldn't put anyone off WH. Wild Coco makes her seasonal reappearance and has a little to find for me. Alz(other Godolphin runner) has to translate Meydan form and is priced correctly anyway. Selection has to also bring foreign form to Newmarket but if he can and is ready to run his race could be a good bet at 9/1.

  19. Re: BBOTD Tuesday 9th July

9/2 win on rev fc' date=',,4/1 LF,,sp, but was steady at 1.7 - 1.75 on place mkt, hope you traded went to evens IR[/quote'] I only wanted 3.4 on GG and got it - backed them both but no exotics :( No Luck in comps but hey ho - what ya gonna do?! GL with yours :)
  20. Re: BBOTD Tuesday 9th July Would certainly have been interested in Gifted Girl @ last nights 3/1 but doesn't look as if that's going to be gettable now. I'd make this a match between GG and Ladies First and believe both are slightly overpriced due largely to Ultrasonic consistently being too short in the betting imho. Not to say she couldn't win - she must have ability at home to keep getting backed at the or towards the front of the market. Ladies First is generally consistent and has only failed to give her running the one time I backed her this season! Hopefully there won't be a repeat! Will be watching the market towards the off but for now I'll side with Fahey and PH. Ladies First - 11/4 - Fred & PP - 400 Ponte
