Just had to drive...... Just had to drive about 10 miles to find sum poor independant still quoting 4/6 on Russia. They honestly looked at me like I was robbing them when they saw the size of the bet! £460 (cos that's what I had on me!). Think I doubled their turn over for the day!! Am a little concerned about getting paid out but we shall see. Great arguments formed on the above game. Lots of bullshit and selective data being used but good to read none the less. I just think based on current form Russia are good things at 4/6. Don't say they will win but 4/6 is far too big. 1.51 @ Betfair by the way as I type. Locomotiv have had good resutls at home this year and I know there not Russia but there des seemto be a gulf in class to me to!! Good Luck to all, esp if your on Russia!;)

Re: arbritrage/surebets/risk free betting It is a fcuking lot of work and the figures invloved can be pitiful. People who make large ricks on prices arn't normally betting that hevily in any case. It is a system I have started to employ over the last couple of days funnily enough. Today I had Geronimo running for £13 to no loss (and it won!) and three other (all losers) running for a couple of quid!! Have picked up a couple of freebies tomorrow on a couple in the Racing Post trophy but it is alot of work and I can tell my girlfriend is getting a tad pissed off with me staring at what appears to be the same screen all the time! It's something I'll continue to do if I'm at a lose end but I don't want to be doing it every day of the week. Not worth it considering the bets will lose most of the time in any case. Rather than guessing what prices maybe I try to compare with High St firms and only lay under a price their offering. That was I can always hedge with them if the price doesn't drift on Betfair. Also takes alot of nerve waiting for the market to swing which it won't always do. For that reason I wouldn't describe the process as arbing - just trading. A good area to exploit, providing you are confident of running plans, are ante-post markets. Good Luck in any case - prepare to be bored and single!:rollin

Spreads The problem is that 4 or 5 people have asked for a spread forum in the last 3 months(ish) and havn't hung about 'cos there isnt 1! I personally don't hav a problem with using the other forums but it might be worth a try. Many spread heads don't bet on fixed odds anymore and are possibly put off by the lack of forum. There probably isn't enough demand for one at the moment, I'd agree, but the plunge may have to be taken at sum point. You could always bin it if it wasn't any good....

Hooray I'm back! Formally Le Tiss is God until my CPU got poorly (too many porn downloads!) I'm back to confuse and baffle with losing tips and advice. Am going to keep a rolling total this time round so I can see just how bad a punter I really am... Nice to be back - MUG Punter or otherwise!
