HMRC kept happy for another year and tax form done so it's back to poker for me
McG made it 2 on the trot with the win last week and leapfrogs the podium straight back onto the champs throne for another month.   Ian and muttley slip down a spot and Rivrd is, erm, well... rivered out of the added cash by one point.  It does prove though that you don't need to win a week to get into the added money with muttley (and Rivrd) having consistent podium finishes over the month.

Well done to McG who took the PLO win last week   Not quite enough yet to get onto the podium positions which are currently held by the consistent three who have basically sewn up the weekly podium spots so far.  Ian still at the top, can anyone else break his hold on the crown!

We continue on for January with the Punters Lounge £150 added Poker League, running for the next 4 weeks on Wednesday nights.
The £150 added by PL is shared between the top 3 in the league at the end of the month. Games start at 8.10pm, with a 20min late registration period on top of this.  All games are played in the PokerStars Home Games PL Poker Club. 
The format is a NLHE 3000 chip tourney in Legs 1 & 2 and a 5000 chip NLHE for final leg.   Leg 3 is our PLO Leg with 5000 chips.

Buy in is $5.50 per leg.
Your top 3 scores of the 4 legs will count towards your league total. We will be using the usual PL poker league format, which will be updated in this thread. (The PokerStars own league scores will not be used.) Formula is -Log(position/Entrants)x100
To help boost numbers overall and in particular in the final leg we are continuing the system of doubling the number of entries used in the calculation in leg 4 (**so if 10 entries the formula will use 20 entrants). This will increase the number of points available in the final leg to make it more competitive.
All members are welcome, however you must post in this thread if asked to let us know your forum username, otherwise your placings and scores cannot be included in the league.  New players are always welcome to join in, so please spread the word and invite your friends to the forum so we can keep the weekly numbers up.

£150 Added Value

The £150 added will be split between the top 3 players of the league end, with £75 to the league champion, £45 to 2nd and £30 to 3rd.  This will be payable via PayPal at the end of the league.  Big thank you to Punters Lounge for the added funds.  The league winner will also get Punters Lounge merchandise.

Legs are set up for the month, first 2 are open for reg.    First leg on Wednesday this week. 

Well done to McG who achieves a second win of the month and with that sews up the league title.   Our other weekly winners make up the league podium, a consistent showing all month from Ian (1st and two 3rds) to take 2nd place, and a great debut from Billy to take 3rd spot (1st and two 4ths).

It was a lengthy PLO game last week finishing in a win for Elliott just defeating Ian, but it brings both of them into the reckoning at the top of the table with only around 20 points separating the top 5 after 3 legs. Others not too far behind that either, so it's on to the final leg with nearly the whole table in the chase for the overall league title.
We end as usual with a 5000 chip NLHE tournament which starts at 8.10pm tonight and 20 minutes added late registration period.  It's open now.  I am on holiday (in UK) but registered early before setting off, so hopefully the connection here at the cottage will be ok to play.

A great turn out tonight and an exciting end to the month in a close race for the podium.  Rav and muttley looked to be well placed both with only 2 scores so no points to drop, but in the end it was McG and Rhino who leapfrogged their way onto the podium and fought out a lengthy heads up to determine their league positions.  After a shaky start on the night I held on for 3rd and locked up the league champion's crown this month, a long time since I've done that!

Lengthy heads up.........I played terribly!
Didnt help with low number cards and hitting nothing but there were some hands I just sucked and played really poorly! 
 

November would be a 5 week month so I'm proposing we reschedule start of October league to next week and run it on until 2nd November for final leg. We can start November's on 9th and still run a 4 week league in both.
