8:30 reg, no late reg, would be the better option, I think. This week I was providing childcare over in Pudsey so joined just before 8:30 and played the first 25 minutes in the car on my phone, while Mrs McG drove. Mind you, looking at a smaller screen, and wearing no spectacles, made for an interesting short session. I don’t think I intentionally join late, but I am conscious that my starting time has become later and later over the years, and we all know that Leo will join with a few minutes to go due to his other commitments.

Sorry about the connection problems this evening. Decided to try to incur the displeasure of Mrs McG and play from Florence, and all was going fine when I was walking along the bank of the River Arno, then partaking of wine at a lovely bar. However, when I got back to the hotel to complete the game, I was unable to reconnect fully. Tried all sorts, but with no success - apologies for being a hindrance.
