  1. 18/1 winner advised, returned at 20/1. Fantastic start to the day. Hope some of you were on.
  2. Good afternoon everyone. All three soldiers misfired badly yesterday so can only hope for some improvement today. These are my plays for today: Leopardstown 12.45 OL MAN DINGLE e/w @ 18/1 (Ladbrokes) 4 places Kelso 12.53 YOUNG JACK/BERTIE B (cheeky rev. f/cst) Leopardstown 3.05 SLANE HILL @ 14/1 (B365) 6 places Leopardstown 3.05 PARK OF KINGS @ 16/1 (Paddy Power) 6 places Have had to throw two darts at Leopardstown 3.05 as 20 runner Irish Lottery (win only though). Good luck with your punting today my friends.
  3. Morning all. Terrific day yesterday (33/1 ante post winner/same race reverse forecast and an each way placed 40/1 runner at Leopardstown / paid as 8/1 winner) but as ever win or lose we just go again. These are my selections for today: Newbury 12.05 ASIAN SPICE e/w @ 14/1 (general) 3 places Newbury 2.55 IT'S HARD TO KNOW e/w @ 18/1 (Will Hill) (rev. f/cst with The New Lion) 2 places Leopardstown 3.05 JUNIOR RATTLER e/w @ 16/1 (general) 5 places Best of luck everyone, be lucky.
  4. Your welcome SoberC. Happy christmas my friend.
  5. For anybody who was on it sounds like History Of Fashion (6th) managed to get each way money for us as well.
  6. WELSH GRAND NATIONAL VAL DANCER beats Jubille Express, hope some of you were on at that 33/1 ante-post. Nice reverse forecast landed as well today. One happy man, merry christmas indeed.
  7. Top of the morning all. With my regular laptop breaking yesterday and now having to use my kid's back up I won't lie I'm right out of sync with things at the moment. Unfortunately, nothing again today grabs me as a great bet but as you all looking forward to a fascinating Welsh National later on today at Chepstow. As ever boredom for me is not an option so these will be my small stake selections today: Leoparstown 2.20 CLARENS e/w @ 25/1 (Will Hill) 5 places Chepstow 2.50 JUBILEE EXPRESS e/w @ 8/1 (general) (rev. f/cst with Val Dancer) 5 places Leopardstown 3.00 HISTORY OF FASHION e/w @ 40/1 (B365) 6 places Already advised (see ANTE POST SELECTIONS) VAL DANCER e/w @ 33/1 (B365) 4 places Best of luck all who play today.
  8. Morning all. Hope everyone enjoyed their christmas dinner yesterday and are ready for the 10 meeting boxing day extravaganza today. Have looked at all the cards closely and do feel value bets are a bet thin on the ground for my liking today. Boredom is not an option though so these are my main selections today (not overly strong confidence): Kempton 12.45 EL RIO e/w @ 12/1 (general) (rev. f/cst with Range) 3 places Kempton 1.20 WHITE RHINO e/w @8/1 (general) (rev. f/cst with Hyland) 2 places Leopardstown 1.45 LOVE ME e/w @ 9/1 (Will Hill) (rev. f/cst with Arch Enemy) 5 places Not a selection but also think Aintree 1.40 One Eye On Vegas (16/1 general) is interesting but would definitely have wanted more rain so probably best watched. And as I think everybody is looking forward to the King George where Spillane's Tower will be tough to beat but am interested to see how the old boy Envoi Allen goes. Good luck to all, hope some of us are lucky.
  9. Best of luck Lee-Grays with those french picks my friend. Could'nt find a decent form guide for Cagnes Sur Mer today so unfortunately won't be playing. Hope you make yourself some cash today.
  10. Thanks to calva decoy and Mclarke. Just about to look at Cagnes Sur Mer card now, dedicated or what. Only problem is usually use the Racing and Sports guide to look at the French action and for whatever reason Cagnes Sur Mer hasn't been put up on there. So Racing Post form guide it is, which unfortunately I have found in the past is sometimes not 100% accurate with regards to the French racing. In effect at times you may be betting blind which for me is definitely not the way I like to go.
  11. Not looked at the card yet mate. Currently trawling through the boxing day fayre to hopefully put up a few tidy bets for anybody who wishes to follow.
  12. Merry Christmas to all. Very excited for tomorrow it's Christmas Eve......... And there's a jump card on at Cagnes Sur Mer in France. Dear me I am a sad case!
  13. Touching comments. Thank you Justanotherpunter. Getting a winner for not just myself but anyone else who wishes to follow is what makes the time and effort to study worthwhile. Hope to pick many more winners for my friends on the forum in future. Thanks again. Merry Christmas.
  14. Unfortuntely no joy with first selection today but this is really just a post to say a big THANK YOU to all of you who have made me feel most welcome in my first couple of weeks on the forum. You all seem like a great bunch of people so would also wish you all a wonderful christmas and go mad on that booze and turkey. Hope my second selection performs better than my first today later on. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE.
  15. Good afternoon all. Unfortunately had to give up the booze for health reasons a while ago now my friend so hangovers not a problem for me anymore (god i miss my booze!). Anyhow, frustrating day yesterday with both main each way selections hitting the post (2nds, beaten length and a short head!) and the ante post picks both performing very poorly. Was worried ground had gone too soft for Impero but no excuses for East Street who simply was'nt up to the Tommy Whittle challenge (surprised as had won on heavy ground previous). My selections for today: Fakenham 1.13 MICRONORMUS e/w @ 5/1 (general) 2 places (obviously win only should there be non runner) Fakenham 3.13 LUNAR CONTACT @ 9/4 (Willaim Hill) Have had early stab if anyone interested in reading (see ANTE POST SELECTIONS). Best of luck today everyone.
  16. ( CORAL WELSH GRAND NATIONAL) (Friday 27 December) Boredom has taken me to an early look at the Welsh Grand National of which currently 22 remain. With Mr Vango deemed not fit enough to do itself justice and another possible contender Nassalam out of the picture the race obviously looks pretty open. Up at the head of the market are Monbeg Genius and Jubilee Express. Of the two I do more see the case for Jubilee Express but heavy ground and fitness would be question marks on that one so I would like a bit more possible value. Whether it runs or not only Mel Rowley and it's owners know but if it does I am happy to throw a speculative dart (small stakes obviously) at her Val Dancer. Though trip is an unknown (as for most) it's wins (some very brave) on good to soft to heavy ground are a plus and it may not get into the race on a bad mark. I also find it interesting that it beat Snipe (non runner when fancied ante post) pluckily on it's comeback run from a lay off when upped to as yet it's furthest winning distance 3 miles 2 furlongs. If running it may well either race prominently or even front run so will hopefully avoid any possible early carnage if that unfortunately happens. Was that comeback run prep for Chepstow, who knows and probably not. But at the current prices on the race I have had to invest at small sensible stakes just in case. VAL DANCER e/w @ 33/1 (B365) 4 places, 1/4 odds.
  17. Morning all. A 7/2 winner and only in my opinion a frustratingly rode second yesterday so we move on to today. There are some short priced horses I quite like but whenever possible will always try to put up the selections at bigger prices for the day and sometimes a bit of value. I was keen on Spike Jones in the last at Haydock but it has been taken out (gutted) so these are my selections today: Thurles 12.45 THAT'S ABOUT RIGHT e/w @ 9/1 (money back with Paddy Power 2nd, 3rd or 4th) 3 places Ascot 3.35 KABRAL DU MATHAN e/w @ 11/2 (rev.fcst with Impero) 4 places (Unibet) * Already advised (ANTE POST SELECTIONS) Haydock 2.05 EAST STREET @ 6/1 Ascot 3.35 IMPERO @ 20/1 Do fear ground may end up too soft for Impero which brings Kabral Du Mathan right into play in my book. Still hope my advised ante post selections give their best effort for me and anyone who has followed. Best of luck all.
  18. Very well done my friend, one man's loss is another man's gain eh. Good to know, hope you give those bookies a good kicking today.
  19. Thank you for your post Wildgarden, it is appreciated. Only sorry Cobden was not at his best I feel on Fasol (2nd) thought he was a bit too patient waiting until the bird had flown (King William Rufus, good sensible ride by Freddie Gordon/ decent claimer).
  20. Good morning all. Excellent day yesterday with two winners at 7/2 and 7/1 with also an each way place 13/2 (Bet 365 were 4 places with Pachacuti 4th) and a reverse forecast nicely landed. Think today very difficult as both Uttoxeter and Ascot are set for further rain but how much by the time your horse runs is pretty much just guesswork. These are my selections which probably only merit a small trixie: Uttoxeter 1.30 FLASH IN THE PARK @ 6/4 (general) Ascot 2.30 FASOL @ 7/2 (general) Ascot 3.40 WINDBENEATHMYWINGS @ 7/2 (general) (Exotic rev f.cst with Swingin Safari.) POSSIBLE OUTSIDE BET. Have to say 3.40 Ascot is hell of a bumper to close the card and should rain really get into the ground then Swingin Safari may be each way value at general 18/1. On my long shortlist too if ground stayed good to soft were It's Top and most definitely Freshperspective. Wow, what a race! Quickly would mention Ascot 1.55 where the classy Iberico Lord has to give weight away to the very interesting Ryan's Rocket and outsider Here Comes Georgie. The latter will be interesting to watch as Impero (20/1, ante post for tomorrow) beat it 20 lengths in it's only defeat in it's last four runs. Sorry write up so long today, just left to say. Good luck all, happy punting.
  21. Best of luck for you, me and Hotspur88 my friend.
  22. Morning all. Obviously really pleased with yesterday's three from three effort (winners at 6/4, 5/2 and 13/2) so have decided it's extra poppadoms time with this Friday's ruby murray. LOL. Joking aside, win or lose any day we just go again so these are my selections for today with brief additional summary: Exeter 1.55 PACHACUTI e/w @ 13/2 (B365) 4 places Ffos Las 2.07 THE SCORPION KING @ 7/2 (general) (rev. f/cst with Haut Folin) Exeter 3.05 IMPERIAL JOE e/w @ 7/1 (general) 5 places SUMMARY: Pachacuti in off joint bottom weight may go well, The Scorpion King narrowly over Haut Folin (pulled up 8 times in 21 runs, including last two on heavy ground) who is respected. Imperial Joe though taking on younger horses and inexperienced amateur jock on board looks on a decent enough mark to me and one of young amateur's two wins came on this horse. Have made updates on ANTE POST SELECTIONS page where Olly Murphy has done me no favours for the weekend. Cheers Olly. Good luck to all today. Give those bookies hell!
  23. Thank you Systemight for your kind words. End of the day horse race tipping is all just opinion isn't it and we all have our days in the sun at some point. I do appreciate your praise though, thanks again.
  24. Happy man Yossa my friend. Thank you for your kind words. Really hope one or two people followed me in on that one, yourself included.
  25. Top of the morning to everyone. A 9/1 winner yesterday was nice and so on to today. Again a day where I would rather play than have no interest in the action at all. Here are mine for today with a small play trixie: Newbury 2.25 JAVERT ALLEN @ 6/4 (general) Ludlow 2.35 FAMOSO @ 5/2 (WH/Skybet) Lingfield 2.47 JOLIE BAIE e/w @ 13/2 (B365/WH) 3 places Not selections but will be interested in the efforts of Balkardy (Ludlow 12.50) back to fences after a very poor run over the smaller obstacles last time out. And Wrappedupinmay (Newbury 1.15) who I did consider as a selection but the combination of a long lay off (322 days but has won fresh after 252) and a first try at fences was enough to put me off. Interesting though especially as trained by Paul Nicholls so may well be ready to do itself justice. Very quickly, added another bullet to my ANTE POST SELECTIONS if anyone interested in taking a peek. Good luck to whoever plays today and whatever you play.
