Well done to @sirspread and to all others in the money. Got to say well done to 3rd, 4th and 5th for 3 profitable days and a very unlucky @Johnrobertson who filled the 5th spot and didn't get a penny! Thanks as always to @MCLARKE (and any others) for all the work you do in running yet another great comp. -

Doesn't matter how you get there H, well done mate. -
Fell at the last! Nowt today, that'll teach me to go for shorties! To be honest, i just didn't feel it today and i spent more time looking this morning than the past two days, but not much stood out in the extra place races hence the shorties. Just one winner today in the 305, but rule 4, and didn't even get a place in the Big One. Thanks again Zil for running the comp, and this is the eejit signing out.

All i've got is, the o is missing from "disco" so "o(h) Carol. It's a long-shot i know,(but that's all i deal in) but what'd ya expect from an eejit!

A non-runner, a couple of places (16-1 and 33-1) and plenty of horses who were no where near fit enough, but as mentioned, that's to be expected hence the smaller stakes. Still, was disappointed in at least a couple who i thought would do better. On a personal note, had a couple of ew L-15's (one listed on L15 thread) both with 2 placed, which was a shame, Love Billy Boy (mentioned but not included because price dropped) placed at double figures and i also got the tricast in that race, although not in the order i thought they would finish and lost on a few other forecasts, which i had picked based on horses that had a run/runs under their belt. Overall, not great, but we live to fight another day and i'm just glad the flat season is nearly here.

Forgot Rampage in the 1655hrs which is another drifter and is top weight, but has had a run and has a 10lb claimer on top. (28-35-1) ew

I'm a bit late to the party this morning for the start of the Irish flat season and with no turf form to go on and fitness having to be left to trust, i would suggest smaller stakes, but lets see if we can find some decent priced ew shouts. 1410 - Tommy McJohn @ 33-1 ew (now 25-1) Clonmacash is drifting @14-1 but both have fitness but the latter will need to improve on turf and imo T Mc was expecting better lto. 1440 - Can't see past Big Gossey who runs well here and can still get 13-2 Bet365. Ex Hannon Love Billy Boy was an ew but value has now gone, sorry. 1545 - A few in the big race today that have already been mentioned and like WW, not sure on the fav and also like drifter Rhythm King. Quite like a few of the other picks on here as well, but it's Titanium @50-1 (might be shortening) and Earls @33-1 (best price coral 6p) ew for me. 1620 - Tried to stay away from the 1st, 4th, the last and this race, but love to take on Moore/O'Brien, so went with Mister Adam @ 16-1 who does have a run in the bank as does Quickshot (AMO Racing) , which could run better than debut. The Meade trained Sonic Invader is making debut and have been keeping a lookout for any market movement, but none as yet. 1655 - Even more of a minefield this race imo than the Lincoln, but am chancing another drifter in Little Keilee @ 16-1 ew. Yet another with fitness and won two back and didn't seem to get away well lto from bad draw so not too worried about that. Only concern is jumped up to mark of 69 (same today) no claimer today either, but decent jockey rides, so the choice is yours. Ice Opera is a horse i was following last year after finishing good , but too late, (poor rides) and although i've had a small ew, the distance is probably too short. Good Luck to all. PS - Most will no the course, but a high draw can be better up to 7f/1m if the 1m is run on what i call the bottom track.

Answering the original topic, i'm not too fussed either way, but it's always nice to win cash prizes even if i don't get to see any of it as it goes to my wifes paypal account!!! Would be nice if you guys could pay it directly into bank accounts or even a cheque if they still exist. As far as the merch stuff goes, is that what all these badge things are about? They give you points towards buying something in a Punters Lounge shop? If that's the case then i'm sure some will take advantage, but if not, i don't see what they are bringing to the table. Sorry, but they seem a bit childish to me, unless i'm missing something, which is a very strong possibility these days.

As already sort of mentioned, they do overlap and you could say you could find a race in both codes all year round, so if you're talking about the MONTHLY NAPS COMP becoming 6 months flat and 6 months jumps, i'm not too sure that would work or be fair to specialists in either code. (would be fine for me as i only play on flat racing) Might work if used like the annual (or ran along side) or if it's a money thing, ditch the annual and have a flat season league and a jumps season league. (this however is purely selfish on my part as i only bet the flat, so can never win the annual) Also, if there are more members like me who only bet the flat and use aw races through the winter, it might stop them playing, however i have no idea how many, if any, actually do this.

I see where you're coming from being the "mug" (or what is it you call yourself, the "twat in a hat") that puts all the work and effort in every evening, but i guess some have work and/or family commitments and might just get time to enter the "money comps". As a rule, i've got all the time in the world, but i was rushing about yesterday and only just got my entries in on time and i believe only had seconds to spare before 1320 hrs yesterday for this comp and i know i could've done another one because entries don't have to be in before first race, but i had a pick in that race. Anyway, what i'm trying to say is don't lose heart, it seems to me most of us (if not all of us) really like playing even if we keep shooting blanks and we are grateful to you for running it. PS - It's a shame the banter/sla**ing off seems to have eased off, maybe we're all just too nice or maybe political correctness has something to do with it, either way, it's a shame.
