Prendergast Hill....from E De Giles yard the 5yo has been successful twice at 1m 2f on good to firm and good to soft ground but this season after four runs although placed in each race two 3rd and two 2nd place finishes ,

Although they say its a 1m 4f race in fact the distance is 1m 3f.197y a distance that Prendergast Hill ran at in first race this season at Kempton AW where he was only beat a head was running on inside final furlong but just got piped on line by Captain Peacock,

He's been running off the 80 mark without a claimer in saddle but yard bring in a good claimer in Callum Shepherd who claims 3lb off and see him running 5lb off his last winnable mark

Roger Charlton's 5yo won really well last time out over 2 miles at Kempton. He was wearing first time blinkers that day and it certainly helped him knuckle down and put the race to bet very quickly. Back in trip here slightly but that wont be a worry as he has plenty of initial speed. Moving up the ranks and can win this without much fuss.

Fancied this one two starts back when well backed to beat a Richard Hughes improver, he got stopped at a bad time that day and could only manage third. Last time out was backed as though defeat was out of the question and once again suffered trouble in running. Josephine Gordon takes over this time and wit stall 1 a big plus he should get the job done here.

Tricky days racing with a few shorties up and down the country which look vulnerable. I like the look of Arboretum here who has been in terrific form this season. He won here and at Market Rasen before finishing a fair third last time at Uttoxeter. All of those races were over 2m4f and now steps up to 3m here for the first time over the smaller obstacles. He has been chasing over this trip so i'm not worried about his stamina, looks a solid option at the prices.

To be fair she had been a bit frustrating but won nicely last time out over C/D and it seems a good decision to bring her back here. De Sousa has ridden her before (twice) so knows the filly well and I expect her to improve now she has got her head in front.
