I suggest new players start out with freerolls - build up a bankroll whilst learning the skills of the game - then using their money, play to the bankroll rules, and see how high you can get - if you're good enough, then you'll soon build a large bankroll (a lot of pro's talk about having never deposited on sites, or only put down $50 once, then never again, and built it up).
