3:35 Epsom - Rare Tern - 1pt Lay Despite being a Prescott improver and an easy winner LTO I think this fellow is opposable, carrying top weight on softer ground at a tricky track like Epsom against some decent types is enough to put me off, currently 6/4 which is far too short and although he handled the track with ease last time out I feel the extra 1st 1lb in weight he's carrying for dropping in grade could make it a lot tougher for him. There are a couple of other decent sorts in the race and I think he's worth a lay at these prices. Plutocraft could be a big danger, ran OK at Brighton last time out coming 2nd and with Epsom being the closest in toughness as a course I feel he might be better value at around 8/1 so I'm laying the Prescott horse.

Re: LOTD - 9th of September Doncaster 3.10: Wootton Bassett 1pt win lay Horse has obvious chances but not guaranteed to confirm superiority over Galtymore Lad on previous running and with a big pull in the weights. Plenty of alternatives that are of interest none more so than stable companion Sir Reginald who didn't have the clearest of passages LTO when a nice 3rd in the Gimcrack and a reproduction of that run would give the horse sound chances. All in all have to have the Fahey number one as a lay at current 13/8.
