Re: Best bet of the day Weds 1st September 2.30 Brighton Rosiliant Win SP This one of Clive Cox's has been very consitent at this grade placing in its last six starts. Nothing else really stands out and despite poor draw should be capable of scoring for the first time today.

Would have probably finished much closer but may not have won. Down to a slightly easier mark I think he can go very well here with the stable firing now. 1 Pt Win 10/1 PaddyPower

Re: Best bet of the day Weds 1st September 240 Hereford: The Grey One EW (22/1 WH bog) Has been pulling too hard over hurdles but has been slowly progressing, this big field will suit much better and they go a good pace around here usually, should be able get some cover and save a bit for the buisness end, fairly treated off 85 and at the prices is worth a bet EW.

Re: Best bet of the day Weds 1st September Brighton 15:30 - Lady Florence @ 5/2 Skybet WIN If the current trend in form figures are to go by then the horse won't be winning this one as its forming a pattern of winning then losing a race. However, this horse done it nicely lto over this C&D and I think she is set to go in again, she's gone up in the wieghts again but the manner of victory lto suggested there still could be more to come. He'll need a career best to win but I like the chances of this inform horse against a few which looks out of sorts.

Re: Best bet of the day Weds 1st September Am I Blue - Hereford 3:10 Is out of any good recent form but looking back when it was with Tim Vaughan it has some very good placed efforts and is on a very nice mark today. It has run off a mark of 100 and is now running off 83 today so if reproducing last years best form should have a cracking chance here today. Is a big plus in the market (25/1 into 8/1) and i can see why the money is coming for it with Dean Coleman taking off a further 5 pounds. 0.5 Points e/w @ 12/1 (Boylesports) BOG

Re: Best bet of the day Weds 1st September 4.30 Brighton Another weak looking affair that the favourite Azaday sticks out like a sore thumb, he chased home Meetings Man who has sinced franked that form on the flat and hurdles. Handicapper hasnt been kind slapping 5lb on him for finishing 2nd but does look handicaped to win a race before long but does have to prove he handles this course and ground conditions but there appears to be plenty of market support already. 1pt win azaday 5/2 Bet365

Re: Best bet of the day Weds 1st September 3:30 Brighton - Athwaab 3yo filly who has had a few months off, but has a really good 2010 record. Unfortunately, much of this form has been on the AW, but having just had 2 turf run outs this year I'm willing to let that slide. All 2010 races have been 3yo runs and today is the first 3yo+ race that she has taken part in. I find 3yo races are a lot more competitive than 3yo+, and Athwaab won 2 in a row on 31st March and 8th April - something that the other runners haven't been able to do recently. Today's jockey, Carson, won off the same mark on Athwaab, in Feb. 16/1 win - VC bet (bog)

Re: Best bet of the day Weds 1st September 15:30 Brighton Buxton looks to be the best chance of a winner for leading course jockey Seb Sanders today where he takes just 3 rides. He has a 18% strike rate at the track (22% in 2010) with an LSP of £30.24. Onto the horse - he has won twice over course and distance previously, Brighton can prove to be difficult for some horses and many horses who have won here previously tend to win here again so I fancy his chances for a third success at the track here today. He won here in 2008 off todays mark (72) so he is still well enough handicapped on his old form. Seb won on board for his last course and distance win which was in May this year off a mark of 65. Has not been up to much since that race but has hinted at a revival in form in his last two runs where he placed at Sandown and Wolverhampton off a mark of 70 and todays mark of 72. Has a 12lb swing in the weights with Lady Florence from the Sandown run for just a three quarters of a length defeat but she is also a course specialist at this track so I wouldn't be surprised to see those two battle out the finish. 1pt win Buxton @ 11/4 (Betfred - BOG)

Re: Best bet of the day Weds 1st September 2:20 Lingfield - Eye Of Eternity - e/w @ 11/2 (WillHill) Well bred filly who is a previous C&D winner, won quite easily that day in a lower grade but showed plenty of potential since then without winning but showed plenty of ability in 3 of her following 4 races, she hit around 1/3 in running on all those occasions and looked the likely winner, including last time over 1m at Brighton when looking likely to lead them past the post but tired in the final furlong. That race was run too quickly for her and she's now upped a further furlong back to an ideal trip which will hopefully do the trick, the ground is listed as GS at the moment, she raced on similar ground last time and seemed to relish it and should progress further for experiencing it. David Probert takes the ride today and he's an exceptional jockey and has been aboard her twice already, winning once and placing on her last time out. He's riding as well as ever and is a top young jockey and only has to do 8st 4lbs here today, although 1lb out of the weights. My selection is upped in class but the weight against these should come in handy, the ground is ideal, there's a good jockey on board and she won well over C&D. She has everything going for her and should be around 8/1, looks an ideal each-way bet for a progressive horse who still has more to give. Small each way bet for me.

Re: Best bet of the day Weds 1st September 16:50 Lingfield (AW) I backed South African Gold last time out and although this colt was well down the field in a Newmarket handicap, it wasn't an horrific run. Has been given a 94 day break since that run, which may well be a negative, may need the run etc... BUT, the surface should suit this horse down to the ground. Closely related to lots of types over in the USA who were successfully on dirt, including a graded winner. This fondness for the artificial surface can be confirmed by South African Gold's runs on the AW, his first was only his second run and was over an inadequate distance, his Wolverhampton run over this trip in maiden company was a decent enough run, not finishing far behind the eventual winner. Upped in trip next time and although he handled the surface well, didn't have the stamina for 1m1f. 7f is this horse's ideal trip, will get ideal ground, decent enough draw, and in a race which is wide open (just look at the betting market, the favourite hasn't got the greatest formlines), I rate this horse as a small bet. 0.5pt EW @ 12/1 >Bet365 BOG

Re: Best bet of the day Weds 1st September 3.30 Brighton - Timeteam - 12/1 Sportingbet Im guna have a very small bet on the temperamental Timeteam. The fact that he's always slowly away, sometimes refuses to race and has never won a handicap doesnt bode well here. However as he often gets going all to late i think this step up to 7f may suit, with Lady Florence likely to set a decent gallop that might set it up for this one. On the other hand he might lose 10 lengths at the start or not even stay the 7f so not putting much on this one. Ground and track isnt a problem and he's recently changed yard which might help his cause. Only 2nd start for Gary Moore and he ran his usual staying on too late over 6f in a seller lto. His last effort in a handicap wasnt too bad, over 6f at Windsor got no sort of run and passed a few rivals for a 5th of 11 finish. Another potential problem could be his handicap mark which does appear quite high currently, i'm hoping the step up to 7f and change of yards improves this one. At 12/1 in a weak 7 runner field il take a small punt.

This horse has only had 6 chase starts so far, winning only one and finishing second in another. Finished only half a length behind Classic Swain off level weights who is now rated 143 over fences! In the process pulling 19 lengths clear of Diaco who is rated 106. Nto he beat Tritonville Lodge who then went on to finish runner up in another competitive chase. I think this form puts him above anything in this race. He flopped lto but I think 12/1 in this race is a massive overreaction. The Tizzard's put right the wrongs of Hell's Bay yesterday and he won impressively, so let's hope they have this one spot on here. Ground and trip are all no problem.

The Pipe handicap debutant will have to jump pretty well and is only a 4 yo while the Vaughan horse rarely wins. Intac has some decent form in novices and with yard in good shape, I think he may run a big race here. 12/1 worth a shot.

Re: Best bet of the day Weds 1st September Kemp 7.50 - Impressioniste - EW at 40/1 BOG with Victor chandler Ex french horse who ran a couple of stinkers when he came over to England. Might have an EW squeak at big odds tonight....... dead 8 runners (fingers crossed) had 4 months off the track to acclimitise to the UK won first time out last year, might be best fresh first time blinkers yard now in form, 100% on the RTF figs in the Post well top rated on OR and with a claimer up ( to be fair, OR looks far too high, based on his poor runs in the spring) Hoping he's acclimitised, ready to bounce out with his blinkers on and run for his life.................
