Changes to ATR - please read

Ok here it is, nothing too drastic, just a bit of housekeeping !! (the move to HD will have to wait!) As we regularly review the forum threads and what works well and what doesn't, we have decided to make a few changes which we hope will be for the better. The daily meeting threads have struggled for a while with sometimes only 2-3 posts for some of the smaller meetings and even on a saturday, some only attract 4 or 5 posts. As from 1st September, there will be 4 standard daily threads, as follows: BBOTD (Best bet of the day) LOTD (Lay of the day) Todays Jump racing - Weds 1st Sept Todays Flat racing - Weds 1st Sept This will keep all selections together for jumps and flat without having individual meeting threads. This should hopefully improve the amount of posts as no need to search for individual meetings. We also have reviewed the use of individual threads and need to set some rules for setting these up. Individual threads will be considered based on the person's suitability to start their own thread, i.e a regular contributor to the ATR page, with a decent amount of time behind them also. Each thread will carry the usual rules of keeping an up to date P/L including number of bets and yield. Also, reasoning is required for all posts. If reasoning isn't provided threads are moved to either the ATR systems page or Glory Hunters page. The daily meeting threads are where members should look to post their selections in the meantime, this gives great exposure to all posters. If they then feel, they wish to start their own thread, then please contact one of the mods. We want to ensure that the individual threads are well thought out and not just started for the sake of it or stopped when the wheels come off. I hope these changes will be seen to improve the ATR page and many thanks for all your input which keeps the ATR forum as lively as it currently is. We want to get even better and attract more people so continuous improvement is what we need. If you have any ideas yourself, please feel free to PM one of the mods.
