Hello everyone! I have recently started to take an interest in betting; however, I am only fifteen. I decided to log my bets to see how I fare. Of course, I won't actually be betting with money - it's just for fun. I'm going to be betting on football as I'd like to think I know my stuff. I'll bet on any league or competition. I'll try and post my reasoning for each bet, but I'm going back to school (Junior Cert :zzz) on Tuesday so I may not always have the time. I'll start with a bank of 100 Points and I'll see where I can go from there. I'd appreciate any feedback on my bets, as I'm still young and new to gambling. I'll post up my first bet when I see something I fancy. See you around.

Sweden vs. San Marino. I was going to wait until after the internationals to place my first bet, but I'm going to start with something small to get the ball rolling. Sweden vs. San Marino. Sweden to keep a clean sheet @1.44. (William Hill) The odds of 1.44 aren't great, but I feel they are too generous in this case. San Marino, the whipping boys of Europe, travel to Stockholm to take on Sweden in a Euro 2012 Qualifier. Sweden are developing into a good team under Erik Hamren and have won their last five matches, scoring eleven goals and conceding just two. Meanwhile, San Marino have conceded twenty-seven goals in their last five games while scoring none. San Marino have failed to score in their last seventeen away competitive matches, and I don't see that changing today. Andreas Isaksson, Sweden's first-choice goalkeeper will not play on Tuesday, but Johan Wiland shouldn't have too many problems should he get the nod ahead of Daniel Orlund. With the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Johan Elmander, and Marcus Berg in attack, Sweden should run out comfortable winners in this game. 1 Point - Sweden to keep a clean sheet @1.44. (William Hill)

Sweden 6 - 0 San Marino. Win! :clap I'm off to a good start anyway, so a good day today, with Ireland winning and topping the group. I'm looking into this weekend's matches at the moment. I think I'll only make the one bet, as I don't have a lot of time on my hands. From what I can see so far, I'm liking the look of Tottenham to beat West Brom @2.12 with Canbet.

Re: Simply.Young's Football Log. I've decided to leave the Tottenham game alone, as I'm not too confident anymore. Spurs may have an eye on the Champions League midweek and both Jermaine Defore and Michael Dawson are injured. West Brom aren't too bad at home. Tottenham should win, and 2.15 is a good price, but I'm going to skip this one. Newcastle vs. Blackpool. Over 2.5 Goals @1.76. (Extrabet) This is another low-odds bet, but I believe this has a very good chance of coming in. Championship winners, Newcastle United, host newly promoted Blackpool at St. James Park this weekend. Both sides have made a decent start, with four points from their opening three fixtures. Both sides have recorded a surprise victory, with Blackpool beating Wigan 4-0 and Newcastle demolishing Aston Villa 6-0. Ian Hollaway is a man who I have a lot of time for - he is honest and tells it how it is. Despite not having the most technically gifted players, Blackpool try and get the ball down and play fluid attacking football. As much as I admire them for this, it often leaves them exposed at the back. Blackpool are a tough outfit to beat at home, and it will be their home form that can keep them up. However, Blackpool are not such an attractive prospect away from home. Newcastle are a good team, and should have more than enough to stay out of a relegation dog-fight. St. James Park is like a fortress for Newcastle, and with their passionate and loyal fans roaring them on, they rarely lose. Andy Carroll is on fire at the moment, with talk of him getting an England call-up, and I think he will torment the Blackpool defence with his strength and height. Both sides try and play attacking football, but Newcastle do it better. Blackpool will be exposed at the back, and I expect Newcastle, particularly Andy Carroll, to capitalise on this. All of Blackpool's matches have had at least four goals, with two of Newcastle's three games going over 2.5 goals. If this doesn't win, I'll be amazed... but stranger things have happened in football. 4 Points - Over 2.5 Goals @ 1.76. (Extrabet)
