Goodwood - Sun 29th

Recommended Posts

3:20 Goodwood Wedding March 1pt EW - 12/1 (PaddyPower) Willing to give this filly another chance with Godolphin in strong form. Was well backed on seasonal debut in a listed race when disappointing badly, tailing off. Obviously wasn't her true running and it was her first outing. Was then upped to 1m4f and weakened rapidly at the business end. Wasn't sure to stay and probably didn't. Is much more suited at today's distance and with two runs under her belt and Godolphin in good form she looks decent value. Although she's unraced on soft she is bred to love it, so that could be a massive factor. 3:55 Goodwood Himalya 3pt win - 5/2 (PaddyPower) Think Himayla will get his head in front here. Has been running consistently well, finishing close up in some very competitive handicaps. Form of his last race looks good. Travelled well but lacked the finishing kick of his rivals, only finishing 4l behind in the end. Shakespearean is now rated 116. Although most runners aren't massively exposed, it doesn't look a brilliant race, if he can run to similar form as lto, he should take this. A few of these runners are also coming back from lengthy breaks.

Re: Goodwood - Sun 29th 3.20 GOODWOOD~VICTORIA SPOUNGE 0.5 E/W 50/1 Betfred It will be the icing on the cake if this one wins! Has been highly tried for new yard since arriving from the Hannon stable and is so again today in this. I think the soft ground will help and Dane O'Neill who rode for its four wins when at the Hannon stable is booked. A quirky horse who is often slow away but they must think it has the ability to keep and is worth a small e/w bet at the price imo. 5.05 SMOAKEY OAKEY 15/2 WH WIN BET Was disappointed with the run of this horse LTO on favoured soft going but will give it another chance today. Has jock who has won on it for its last two wins on top and is down in grade so with only eight going to post looks an e/w banker but i'll go for the win.
