Re: Catterick (eve) - Friday 13th August 8.00 Catterick - Windjammer - 12/1 PP Competitive race this but i believe the value is with one of the bigger prices in the field. Those at the head of the market all have drawbacks which make them opposable. Both Liberty Ship and Racoon have trainers that are out of form at the moment, Mayoman needs to win off a career high mark and the drop in trip and unknown as to how it will suit. Speedy Senorita is interesting as Hanagan has done well when riding for this yard lately, however recent efforts are mostly poor and has had opportunities when appearing well handicapped. Rio Sands is very inconsistent so i couldnt back with confidence despite an impressive run lto. Alacity has to carry a 6lb penalty from her win last time out which she done fairly nicely, a decent chance and 8/1 is a good price, might saver. Windjammer has started the year well after being very inconsistent last season. First time out he finished 1 1/2 lengths behind the winner in an apprentice race under a hands and heels ride, staying on fairly well. His next run was in a claimer where he appeared to haven no chance at the weights. However, he finished just over a length behind Raccoon carrying the same weight but weighted 12lb lower, he finished ahead of 2 horses rated 20lb + higher off similar weights and only just over 3 lengths behind the winner rated 25lb higher than him. Hasnt won in a while but likes it here and goes on any ground, has won from in behind the leaders and from making all. Drawn centrally so what ever side they choose to go wont be a problem and small stable hasnt had a bad year so far.
